Bought a 2007 Focus 2 weeks ago with the 6000CD unit. The vehicle was in possession by a leasing company and then by a private person but it seems stock af (prob was just used to get from A to B, nothing more) Question is, do they all come with built in BT ? I don't have aux in it so I thought BT was not an option either. I fiddled in the radio menu a bit but never saw a BT option, might have missed it or it was just not installed from manufacturer ?
I'll give this a try. Didn't even realise my head unit had bluetooth, until I kept getting followed about by the same "BT Car Audio" in my bluetooth settings to connect.
Was paired up working fine all of a sudden nothing could not use the hand free,followed the steps on just about every youtube video on this ,press the phone symbol and it reads mute,BT does not show on the screen menu,put the Bluetooth on my phone and it just buffers picks up other devices and keeps buffering.

Excellent and very useful video,many thanks for sharing. One small point, some (I believe) early versions of this radio do not display the PIN quite so readily as yours does, mine for example. Then simply key into the Mobile phone any number between "0000" and "9999", (you are MOST unlikely to hit the right PIN!!) and the radio will then display the correct pin properly. You then repeat (on my Nokia phone at least) a "retry", using now the right PIN number and your phone is Bonded/Paired. Many thanks again for your otherwise excellent video. Regards Andy

Not all 6000CD units are the same. I have a 2005 model in one transit & in the other a 2011 model. They look the same but the buttons are marked differently. The 2005 does not have bluetooth but the 2011 does, but it still doesn't work as it should!!!

Bobby Tuppa Hi Bobby, I just foudn your video on how to add and delete phones in the 6000Cd radio for Ford and tested it, but the bluetooth device my phone picks up does say Ford Radio or anything similar to it and it just says 'Can't connect' once I try to to pair with my phone. Is there any other setting I should be looking for? Do you know of a list of compatible devices for this sort of system? I also have a doubt regarding the microphone, as I do not know where it might be fitted, since I got the car and previous owner wasn't aware of any possible bluetooth connection in it. Pedro Fonseca Hi, try deleting all phones off the ford radio (first part of the video) Then try again pairing it, if it doesn't work try another blue-tooth enabled phone, then you can say whether its the phone or the ford radio at fault. I only had the ford transit van for two days so im not up on the radio itself for other compatible devices or where the mic is located, sorry.

When I hold down the menu button the same menu appears, but why there is no such thing as BT? Why it is like that? My radio is the same except that there is "PHONE" instead of "CLOCK" button and there is PTY button under the TA button.

You particular model does not have Bluetooth built in. Although it looks the same it is likely an earlier model. Check the year.

You need a BT module and mic etc. My sony stereo would go on mute til BT module was in.

+Mauwisan Vander As far as I can tell, not all models have the BT module. If the option is missing, it means you don't have a BT module/function.

your 6000cd unit probably doesnt have a bluetooth adapter built in. Not every 6000cd has bluetooth
