Hi my name is Mani, I assist Mr. Travis with his music. This is all New to me, so, I Thank you for helping me understanding TL better and other avenues on how releasing works!
For label plan, does an artist need valid ID to release music through my label? Artist plan does need valid ID, wondering if it's the same via label plan.
I am really confused about the Soundexchange part. They say they only collect Rights Owner (RO) royalties from SX. What if I’m the only artist of my track and hold all the rights. That means they collect all my royalties or do I have to go sign up for SX to collect artist royalties while Too Lost only collects my RO royalties?
SoundExchange only collects on rights owner royalties from digital broadcasts. That would be for the artist and/or producer/writer. Too Lost can sign you up or you can connect an existing SX to your account. Too Lost will also collect your streaming and sales royalties
@@realjnolan I got it but soundexchange says they collect those digital royalties and pass them on artists and right owners. This is like 2 different types of payout. So, since I’m the only artist and right holder of my song, I wonder if Too Lost collects them all for me or do I still need to go and claim artist royalties from SX.
@@WXNSMANE it’d be in your best interest to sign up on SX on your own so if you decide not to use TooLost in the future it’s still accessible with no issues. They basically would just register whatever you release through them and collect
Well, I’m trying to figure out if Too Lost collect all my royalties in there. If they do, then there’s no point of me signing up for SX. Thanks for the convo
after contacting with Too Lost support, I found out that Too Lost only collects half of your earnings in Soundexchange under the name of RO (Rights owner) royalties. So, the other half of your money is waiting to be claimed in SX under the name of ''Artist royalty''.
@@therecipe2618 the reason why I ask that, is because my art work is done & I tried with time core and there was to many stipulations to where I had to pull away my art work spoke to what the album is about and I couldn’t go no further by I’m going to try with toolost
Does Illustrate offer label services for unlimited Artists and unlimited Releases like other normal record labels and how much is their price fee for starting the label?
I’m still waiting on their customer service to respond. The primary artist doesn’t pay but your contributor may have to. Trying to get some clarity on that because they promote it as free
Hey boss quick question, lets say i release a rap song with a licensed beat but my song ends up exceeding the usage terms, could i just go back to my producer and buy the exclusive license then request to update licensing on too lost or do they make you go thru the long process of re releasing, just asking because it would be nice if licensing could just be a quick edit request.
To my knowledge, they don't really have the option to update licensing. Not legal advice, but I wouldn't worry about exceeding the stream threshold on the license.
Bro they should not get any split i know industry well that split you talking about also get you marketing, shows , merch and an advance we paid a service to get on spotify shouldnt have pour lifetime into them unless w still release this shows they dont mske much money charge more for a year to add music than percentage every month all thiefs in my book
I think you may have misinterpreted something from this video. Too Lost doesn’t take a cut unless you use them for publishing administration. Keyword, administration which across the industry constitutes anywhere between 5-10% from your overall pub earnings to run additional checks & balances for your royalties. It seems you’re thinking of an actual publishing or co-publishing deal which is a different situation altogether and would entitle a larger publisher such as SONY, Universal, BMG, etc a much larger cut than just 5-10% from every song you submit throughout the duration of the deal.
@@realjnolan I linked my account to PayPal, but my question is, does TooLost really pay you? Because I have many artworks that I have uploaded, and I am afraid of fraud after achieving millions of streams.

Aye that song at the end..🔥🔥🔥🔥
Much appreciated! It's called "Let's Get It"
Hey bro, can the do 2 primary artists on release with the artist plan or do you need a label plan for that?
I have a standard artist plan and was able to add an additional primary artist

Bro.. Can you tell me how long does it take from upload for your song to show up in spotify? Thanks and advance
Depends on the release date you set. Seems like they need at least 3 weeks of lead time but none of my music showed up late
@@realjnolan that’s good to hear.. how long do you normally upload your before release?
With them I try to upload a month ahead
Would anyone recommend this distributor? It's relatively new but seems trustable.
My experience thus far has been good. They’re not as quick as DistroKid far as processing your release but everything else has been smooth.
@@realjnolan Ok that's good! I just bought the label plan for Too Lost, hopefully everything is just as smooth.

Does TooLost provide sync lyrics?
You can upload lyrics but I don’t believe they do synced like how DistroKid does
Great break down!!!
Too Lost is king right now
bro can you do a video n how to delete songs that you uploaded on toolset?
Do they do animated cover art for Apple Music

what are its difference with distrokid?
DistroKid doesn’t have sync, playlist pitching, publishing admin services, or educational office hours for artists to learn the business.
does everyone's releases also take long to upload to spotify?
