So if I understand correctly, the harder you press the cleft (such as the mass manufacturers does to lower grade bats) the smaller the sweet spot but it increases the longevity of the bat given fair use. Why don't they press it a little softer and increase performance? Won't that decrease the demand on top willow? Or do you have to press based on the grade if cleft. Thank you for helping me understand this.
