GREAT VIDEO, WELL DONE CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT, CHEERS LADS 👍🏻😎
Thanks Peter. We're having a blast working on the scoot.
Got to love a Lammy Rustoration Another great vid guys
Thanks! Love a rustoration.
Great job and thanks for the patina recipe 👌🏾
Hahah, thanks. I'm still trying to perfect the recipe mix, probably needed a little more white spirit this time.
Enjoyed this content and the music 🎶
Thank Paul. The Hawkmen are working on some new material, which we'll continue to use on the channel. Cheers!
Oily rag rustoration,looks great.
The way we like it. 😀
Maybe a little dob of grease on those little nuts and washers under the floor panels will help keep some of the road crap away from them.
Nice tip, thanks!
Good result! I would ride that proudly!
Yeah, right! 🙂
Magnificent! Congrats are most definitely in order. Well done!
Cheers Victor. We're really pleased with the budget makeover.
Come up great, well done Sir 👏
Thanks Shaun.
You've taken us along on quite a journey, Scott. Thank you!
Thanks for watching and the support.
Thank you for posting this series, really enjoyed and looking forward to seeing it running with the new tank ,air hose and another carb clean ...Greetings from Northern Europe...Harry
Hi Harry! Thank you for the comment. Proper test drive coming soon.
@@CobwebGarage great stuff 👍
Never paint SS! Good job guys!
Great stuff, looks cool like that.
In the 80s I looked just like Justin and my nickname was OddBod and I briefly had a Li150 so WTF! 😂
Hahah, brilliant! That is a great combination!
Addictive; watching this all come together step by step.
Great editing as well particularly with a bit of good old Country & Western!
Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
Enjoyed the vid. Can't believe you put those Michelin Ditch finder tires on it though lol. Cheers!
Brilliant series this one, absolutely loved see the scoot get roadworthy. Loving the look, patina and all. Plus I've got mates like Justin they drop stuff off and do one. Leave it with you kid...😂
Thanks for the comment Neil.
What I would say lads is that the first thing you should buy when you get a lammy is a set of SLUK Clip bridge fitting kit, cheap as chips and a godsend for an easy life when engine upgrades are going to be done
Will do, great advice Sid. Will have to do an engine upgrade on the channel soon.
Top job lads and love the music
Many thanks!
So I learnt 2 things today. 1, good song "cant judge a book by its cover" which I was able to download on Spotify. (Thanks) 2. I didn't realise you were a guitarist in that group (thanks youtube). By the way, a great video. Thanks.
All the music is from my record label/band. I'm a bass player...fingers are too big for a guitar. 🤣 Cheers!
Brilliant and I'm glad to see you're promoting it on your latest video release. ❤
Fantastic content now I’m binge watching 🤙🏻
Appreciated! Cheers.
Well done Scott & Co, done a brilliant job on the Scooter & looking great 👏👏👍👍
Thanks Kevin. Justin is super keen to get out there and start riding it now.
Hair dryer to soften up the rubber trimming and gaskets usually
Thanks. Yeah, I did use a heat gun to soften up the kickstart rubber actually.
Great video and awesome job on the scooter 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for the nice words John.
Great video. I've really enjoyed watching and I love the music too.
Absolutely true about rags that have been used to apply oils such as linseed. Either hang them out on a washing line or burn them once you are finished.
Thanks. Yeah, glad I picked that up from somewhere previously. Doesn't hurt to mention it everytime Linseed oil is used I guess. Cheers!
Loved the video again guys! well done. Looking forward to seeing the next one in this series.
Cheers Bruce.
Great job lads, keep renovating these old lammies please. Would love one myself 🤞🏻👍🏻
Cheers Paul.
Love this series.
Many thanks for the comment.
Looks really nice 👍
Yeah, came out great. For a few hundred quid makeover, and a bit of time, Justin can get out on the road on his first scoot. Chuffed about that. Cheers.
I have to tell you guys about this incident that happened during the 1970's. I worked as a factory mechanic with one other guy, and one wet afternoon, one of the unskilled workers brought in his Vespa which had conked out on his way to work. We discovered that the fuel tap did not shut off and had rotted the gasket on the downdraught carb, so that fuel was by-passing the carb and going stright into the crankcase. While my buddy was making a new gasket, I opened the throttle and kicked it over to expel the excess fuel. Well it started up, and there was no way to shut it off, and it just kept revving higher and higher while we stood back in amazement, until finally the vibration caused the spark plug cap to fall off and it finally stopped, whereupon we refitted the carb and advised the owner to get the fuel tap fixed.
A happy ending then! 🛵
Hi Scott I like that patina sauce mate, (and if you don’t use it all maybe you can use it to cook a full English!) Ha ha! Stay well boys ! 😎
And works well as a moisturiser. 🤣🤣🤣 Cheers!
make sure you rinse the tank out before use... they are always full of swarf and shit, and will wreck the engine... looking great and love the patina finish.
Oh, thanks, good tip!
Now, come to KY, USA and help me with mine, PLEASE??? Nicely Done ✅
I'll book the flights! 😀😅🛵 Cheers!
Where do you get the US mechanics shirts from? They’re mint.
Great channel
I can't remember exactly where the shirts came from, Amazon or eBay. Then I sewed the patches on myself. 🙂 Cheers!
🙏🙏👍👍✌✌excellent series
Cheers!
New kick start would have been good😮
They treat cricket bats with linseed oil and I’ve never heard of a bat spontaneously combusting “six boom🤯💥” 😂
What size engine is in it Scott? My old TV 200 was knackered so I had it bored out with a 70mm Bultaco piston as a 225 conversion (but in reality I think that actually works out at 218cc) happy days buddy 😎
It's a 150cc. Let's see how Justin gets on with it....see if he wants to do an engine upgrade. ;-)
Sorry if its been asked before, where did you acquire the work table from? TIA.
JB Fabrications made the bench, and I bolted on the wheel clamp. Check out Episode 1 of the Oddbod build, and I show the bench and wheel clamp there.
@@CobwebGarage Thanks.
What’s the best and quickest place to order/buy a pk50s stater plate and full cable kit .i need it ASAP because I’m trying to get on the road and I love the scooter atmosphere .im probably the youngest scooterist about 😂🤣
Hi Anthony. My first scoot was a PK50, had it all ready to ride on my 16 birthday, had so much fun on that scoot. I'm not too sure the best place for Vespa parts these days, I don't want to give you the wrong advice, just have a google around I guess. Where are you based in the country? Is there a local-ish scooter place to you? I like using Scootopia where possible, as it's just down the road from us.
@@CobwebGarage there is but it’s a lambretta shop .its my first scooter for my 16 birthday as well I’ve put a 75cc kit on it and the correct way exhaust/carb just missing the stater and cable kit .
nice job but the bike needs a chrome kick starter
I did tell Justin that. 😂 Cheers!
Did you find out what the bike is? Spanish or Italian? What are the frame and engine numbers? Are they stamped Innocenti?
Hi Dave, the frame reinforcement confirms it's Spanish.....although you can buy those reinforcements to weld on 🤣😂🤣.....ok ok, it's Spanish. 😀
@@CobwebGarageMatching engine? Spanish?
Spanish ain't a problem BTW... My first scooter was a Spanish Li150!
Loved it!
Blast from the past Owned about 8 or 9 Lammies of various vintage Patina recipe looks good must try it on my current project of a Honda c114 50cc mind you Tank will have to be resprayed so won't be all patina paint If you still have the original tank try the vaporust treatment and some old bolts shaken about as an experiment see if it would have worked Chrome bling tank all hidden under the sidepanels 🙂 wasted £££
Thanks for the comment. The new tank is stainless steel. We weren't after a bling finish, just being stainless steel, it won't ever rust in the future. Cheers.
You could have polished the paint. It would have come up really well.
I was worried about you drilling on your lap, Scott. But you got away with it.
🤣 Safety third!
Change all the cables...
Ive owned three Lambretta's, the cables, inner and outer are probably their weak point. Also all the nuts for the bodywork need locktight.
Jealous. Great video as usual 👍
Thanks bud.
Hope you washed out the stainless steel tank before fitting
Hey bud. Can I pick your brains? Just bought an old scooter and it looks like it’s been brush painted over the original paint. What’s the best way to remove this to get back to the original paint without damaging it?
Great job lads, but could do with some psychobilly background music 😊
Proper make over.
Not someone getting their credit card out to pay someone else to do the work.
In the 80’s and now they give trophies out to people who only pressed out a four digit number…hilarious.
What a shame there wasnt much arttention to detail, like the legshield rubbers, the fit was terrible. Such a shame, but i guess someone else can make a proper restoration in the future
lol
Very disappointed when you started this I thought you would do it properly have you never heard the saying
Do It Right Or Not At All, if you sell it the first thing they will do is strip it and start again so you pretty much wasted your time.☹️☹️☹️
