The camera starts to change angles and that was my cue. (Be sure not to hold the X down after this second jump, I made that mistake the first 10 times). 3) as you start to swing your sword, push your steed to the right so you miss the second outcropping in the clouds. One tip I have for people that are having a hard time with the jump timing - you have a lot of time to jump, don't worry about hitting a killbox right away and wait maybe a full second before the double jump.

I usually don't use skips or cheese tactics, but with this guy I had to. My PC is from 2014 and I'm not interested in buying another one till this one actually fulfill its time. I am actually surprised that it's capable of running this game at all. Out of all boss fights, only with Niall I get 20 to 25 fps, which makes it extremely difficult to play. I am used to 25-30 fps, but not 20-25. It's also very laggy, my character starts moving on its own. For those who are wondering what my specs are: i5 4460 3.2ghz MSI GTX 970 4G MSI PC MATE Z97 DDR3 SAMSUNG QVO 1TB SSD (I also have 860 EVO 500GB, but for some reason, I moved the game to QVO) 20GB RAM (3 sticks, 8x2 GSkill and a 4GB Kingston.) Lenovo 144hz 1MS Monitor My precious 970 served me well, and I think he's still kicking ass. Worth every penny. Maybe I'll replace the CPU, or build a brand new one. I still haven't decided yet.
I watched some videos about the 970 for Elden Ring and the card should be able to run the game at a steady 50-60 fps on low settings in the best case scenario (With a solid CPU). I think your CPU is the thing that is really holding you back so look into replacing that before upgrading your GPU as well eventually. You could also look into getting another cheap stick of 4GB of RAM just to have them run in dual channel and not have it by itself.

for anybody filtering at newest first, yes, this still works. a few tips that i got from another comment that i want to spread since they helped immensely 1. jump off the ledge exactly on the little rock as done in the video and at the latest possible point in time 2. wait about 2 seconds, when the camera begins shifting to below you, to double jump. only tap the jump button. 3. spam r1 and push your joystick to the right for about 10 seconds so you move away from the rocks that would normally kill you after 5 seconds
100% still working I just did. You cannot land on any of the cliffs below you can see when you look over. You have to aim just to the right of the lower cliffs below the clouds. This will get patched soon. A 3 vs 1 fight deserves to be cheesed.

ok so, while i never going to use it, i gotta admire the creativity, i thougt "oh skip, meaning he is not going to fight it it... yeah he is just going to hit some trigger and skip to the next map.... 1 minute later. "he beat the boss by de-spawning the floor bellow the boss, making it fall to its death... repeatly" it gotta be the most creative way to kill a boss i've seen...

There are also vids that show you how to paralyze the boss his companions, so that they will start fighting on your side. Its not a cheese at all but makes the fight much easier

Can confirm it still works. Just need to aim more to the right and jump off more to the right. And then count about 1.7 secs then do second jump and it’ll do it. I did it on 2nd try
there’s a rock at the bottom, it’s visable, jump a little to the right and delay the second jump and spam R1, i just did it and it took my so long to figure out that’s what was killing me
What unlucky I am. Thank you for this, I finally "defeated" him this way but I forgot to teleport back and died falling. When I wanted to go back to get the runes, I jumped down from the castle and the jump killed me. I lost all the runes Niall gave me. I was so angry because previously I didn't die whem I fell off the castle.

If you're struggling, try jumping slightly to the right, it makes a big difference.

main things are jumping off at the right spot, delaying the second jump and keep pressing r1 as you fall
