Nope. At the time it was "just a ship" and had loadsss of designs straight out copied from other ships as well, WSL frankly cheaped out on many aspects of the Titanic. Only after the sinking did the ship gain a near-mythical status
@John in 1912, the ship in this very video grinds against the side of an iceberg on the night of April 14th at 11:40pm, which inflicts damage to the steel hull plating below the waterline over a 300-foot area. 6 of the 16 watertight compartments within the ship are breached by the steel plates being buckled inward, and the ship eventually sinks. the vessel breaks apart at 2:17am, and the last of it goes under at exactly 2:20am, leaving 1,496 people dead, and 712 people scarred for life.
@John The Titanic is the most famous ship in history, because at her maiden voyage in April 1912 (shortly before First World War 1914-18), she was the biggest and most luxurious ship in the world and was considered nearly unsinkable due to their sheer size and modern technologies. However, in the night from April 14 to April 15 she rammed an iceberg on her right side, was teared up and sank after 2 hours 40 minutes. Only about one third of the people onboard (700 out of 2200) could be rescued in Titanic's lifeboats, of which there were too few to save all passengers. The only ship to be able to help (Carpathia) was unfortunately too distant and took 4 hours to arrive, too late for about 1500 people who found no place in a lifeboat and went under with the Titanic (actually, most of them didn't die by drowning but by freezing, because the sea water was ice-cold). A real tragedy, loss of 1500 people plus this beautiful ship. 73 years later, in 1985, Titanic's wreck was found be submarines in about 3800 meters depth (12500 feet) in the deep sea. In 1997, James Cameron made his famous blockbuster movie "Titanic" about these events. Haven't you seen it? It's one of the most famous movies of all time, having won 11 Oscars, as did "Ben Hur".
At 11:36 you get a good look at Titanic's Veranda cafe, at the aft end of A deck. Some survivors reported that the cafe exploded as the tail section sank due to the force of air being pushed out of the ship by incoming water.
It wouldn't be surprising, the force of the incoming water's suction probably caused all the Verandah Cafe windows to be blown outwards and then during the break-up of the ship itself the room may VERY WELL have exploded outwards. It was on A Deck, aft of where the Titanic split, so it's very possible.
I've played with earlier builds of the demo, and it was a really fascinating experience. One of the most interesting aspects was that, while the Titanic was large (though not by modern standards), they had very real space constraints. Most notably, it was not a very wide ship, with her beam being only 28m (92 feet) versus, for example, the Queen Mary's 36m (118ft). On my visit to the QM, she felt quite modern, with spacing and massing that was somewhat equivalent to a modern mid-size cruise ship (though obviously her superstructure is quite a bit smaller). In contrast, the demo really drove home how narrow many of the passage ways were, and that the grand staircases, while beautiful, weren't massive. While she was huge for her time, and the designers did much to impart size, luxury and amenities with the space they had, it doesn't feel very big, especially when you consider the events of that night (sinking, stranded, alone in the middle of a frigid North Atlantic). It's a hell of an impressive thing, what the developers have built.
It amazes me that we don’t have a Titanic museum! Imagine walking through the entirety of that magnificent ship! It’ll be a dream come true! This animation is a complete masterpiece. Amazing work Honour and glory
Wikipedia writes about the Titanic II, quote: „Titanic II is a planned passenger ocean liner intended to be a functional modern-day replica of the Olympic-class RMS Titanic. The new ship is planned to have a gross tonnage (GT) of 56,000, while the original ship measured about 46,000 gross register tons (GRT).[note 1] The project was announced by Australian billionaire Clive Palmer in April 2012 as the flagship of the proposed cruise company Blue Star Line Pty. Ltd. of Brisbane, Australia.[3] The intended launch date was originally set in 2016,[4] delayed to 2018,[5] then 2022.[6] The development of the project was resumed in November 2018 after a hiatus which began in 2015, caused by a financial dispute,[7][8] which affected the $500 million project.[9]“. The Corona virus may have delayed the project again.

Titanic looks like a work of art compared to many modern cruise liners of today although these vessels increased in size and capacity, Titanic was based on elegance with many themes running through the ship to suit the passengers for choice as comfort and luxury at sea was the top priority, the detail is breath taking with the amount of craftmanship workmanship in the construction with no expense spared for 1912!.
I’ve actually NEVER seen what the squash court or the mailroom/ hold looked like but “MY GOD” the detail of this demo is just “SUPERBLY LUXURIOUS “ and I don’t know WHY they haven’t made another replica of the ship. When I visited the Branson Titanic exhibit and I walked up the Forward Grand Staircase and touched “Honor and Glory Crowning Time” it was just breathtaking and I didn’t want to leave . I feel IF they do make a replica of the RMS Titanic I should know my way around the WHOLE ship after watching this video lol 😆😂
Titanic Honor and Glory has done an amazing job recreating the ship and their work continues to evolve. One error that they acknowledged and have since changed after this version was released was that the lights were on in the wheelhouse at night. They were always kept off so the officer on watch could see when he went outside to the bridge wings without waiting for his eyes to adjust to the dark. During the change of the officer on watch, both had to be in the wheelhouse for at least 15 minutes to give the oncoming officer's eyes time to adjust to the dark.

There was a telephone switchboard in Titanic several of her fist class & second class had a telephone in there room. So do you know where the ships switchboard was at?
Provavelmente, a janela de uma escada que ficava no banheiro da sala de fumantes da primeira classe, essa escada era bem semelhante a escada dos Carvoeiros nas caldeiras.
OMG Same ! I would like to be deep in the ship, like in the mailroom when it hits and then just follow the flow of water until i am on the boat deck, on the stern section when the ship broke in half and take me under. Geez, if a survivor could read my comment, he or she surely think i am a deranged person to ever want to experience such a traumatizing moment like that, in any ways, and that is so disrespectfull for all the people that were on board but what do you want ... On Olympic they shortened the space, and in place of the section that was cut, placed some first class staterooms. They didn’t outright remove it though, it was always there.
What is that big tube at 37:22?
it’s the base of the forward mast, @Jason Hobble.
It is like you are running around in a panic wondering, "Where is everybody!".
The music i had on in the background only went for so long lol
Man can build such great gigantic thing and destroy it real quick!
and they can also build an equally great gigantic thing and NOT destroy it! :)
@@DerpyPossumYes, but in this case it was different.
It would be so cool if we had a map like this of the under water wreckage to explore.
there’s a slightly inaccurate one in the game “Titanic VR”
Wow❤wow❤
There was a telephone switchboard in Titanic several of her fist class & second class had a telephone in there room.
So do you know where the ships switchboard was at?
What is that shaft at 4:44 ?
Provavelmente, a janela de uma escada que ficava no banheiro da sala de fumantes da primeira classe, essa escada era bem semelhante a escada dos Carvoeiros nas caldeiras.
32:58 What ist that???
The electric bath; basically the 1912 equivalent of a tanning bed.
Breathless
10:38 - Cabine do Tomaz Andrey, no convés A do Titanic.
I have shit tonne of claustrophobia and seeing those narrow corridors made me feel sick to the stomach
Look out at the ocean at 0:20 is the boat even moving?
no, it’s not.
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE CAPTAINS QUARTERS AND HOW IT WAS
Silly question but do you think this would come to next gen console? My sons titanic mad and would love this!
console support isn’t currently planned
Is it possible to get to the bow? I tried, but without success.
Not in this demo, trust me i tried to lol
Would it also be available for mac with apple silicon?
..The devs stated on the THG website that Mac devices will be much problematic to run this game & Mac isn't an option as of now... .
I didn’t know there had two stairwells in second class.
From bow to stern, good idea! However from stern to bow...
"You're going the wrong way DAMN IT‼️"
Gene Hackman...
Poseidon Adventure reference
One of my favorite movies of all time. :-)
A seems so much more sobering at night.
I would like to see Titanic: Honnor and Glory drop on consoles. I would pass so many time just discover the ship and live the sinking from the inside
I am human.
What is the name of the music in the background?
Look up "titanic honor and glory demo 2 music" on youtube
..Don't know if this will break all your heart, but according to a blog on a gaming website. . .if everything goes on perfectly, this phenomenal & the most unique game's gonna come out fully finished by April 14th, 2026...PC version first with VR ready....No idea about the Mac devices, but the console release may take 1 or 2 more years...After the ship recreation is totally done, the THG team has plan adding a SINKING MODE which should give you the true virtual experience of that ill-fated & absolutely nightmarish nights of April 14th-15th, 1912 through the VR headsets...Apart from these, they have plan fully recreating the Southampton dock & Titanic berth 44. .from where you'll be boarding the legendary ocean liner exactly the same way Her passengers did on April 10th in 1912... . 🤗
A fair generalization
Has this been updated to take full advantage of Lumen and Nanite in Unreal Engine 5?
Titanic did not deserve to sink rip titanic and rip to all the people who died on the titanic
How do you download this
Download demo 401 from www.titanichg.com
is nobody going to talk about the amount of deck chairs on the promanade
I think everyone’s talking about them. At least the rearrangements ;)
It's just mega..... there's so many, that they should've tied some chairs together that night with ropes so they could be used as rafts to save a few extra lives....
Great job but I wish they would go a little slower so you could check things out some of the craftsmanship is amazing
The music i had on in the background was only an hour long. If you wanna check out my channel ive been uploading locations at a slow pace.
Well when he would do that, the video would be 8h long 😂
No se cuantas ganas tengo de conseguir este demo al menos como se puede? Que características tiene que tener la PC para admitir un juego así?
Alguien podría explicarme porfa?
The graphics are insane
