      @@mrs.fowlerfamilyfarm7636 Only when you're not actually right and simply are delusional. When you're right and stay close the the truth, enforcing your will is nothing evil. We live in a world full of simple weak idiots and natural born slaves. Majority of people lack the fire to change it, be the fire that leads, be the change. I'm myself an ENTJ-A 8w7 and I prefer to stay aside, but sometimes I just can't help myself and go full revolutionary, it usualy changes everything, but at the same time, brings good with the said change, however brutal my methods can be. I've broken many people that naturally hated my guts after it, but admitted that I was right and thanked me years after it.

    I laughed when you said that 8's would rather eat dirt than ask for help and appear vulnerable! It is sooo true! On little stuff, not so much, but if it is something big, or if I am in a very vulnerable place, it pains me big time to asked for assistance. Independence is so important. If you have been controlled in the past, like in your family or your marriage, it makes you want to experience that even less. I became much stronger and independent after a bad marriage, where all he wanted to do was control me!

    • @katiewenta
      @katiewenta 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It occurred to me during that portion of the discussion that often I don’t even know how to identify WHAT would be helpful (when I aim to genuinely respond to an offer for assistance). Certain circumstances have helped me understand when I need to pull others in to use THEIR gifts to help me... but in areas of weakness like that (where I don’t even know what assistance I actually need) I’ve learned to temper myself and ask: “From your outside observation, what did you have in mind?... because I’M actually not sure!”

      It’s so unhealthy😂 my college class started 2 weeks ago and I hadn’t asked for the course ID code to access the school work cuz I thought I knew what the code was and I lagged to access it because of not wanting to ask for help and i thought I was already late to asking for help and I hate being late to doing things and... it was never ending until I just said “f it” and asked lmao cuz why does it matter who cares just ask, ladies and gentlemen‼️ THIS WAS TODAY but we good now I’m getting everything done🤘🏽

    • @jwest9155
      @jwest9155 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it depends on how developed and healthy the 8 is. I think an unhealthy or underdeveloped 8 is afraid to ask for help, a more developed 8 is not.

    • @susankievman642
      @susankievman642 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jwest9155 I disagree with that statement. We are just an independent bunch. We prefer to handle most things on our own. Only when it becomes too much for us, will we seek the help from others. I think that I am a pretty developed ENTJ. I am a senior and have done alot of work on myself. But I still have trouble admitting that I cannot do it all by self. Dont like to feel weak or depend on others. Dont need alot of emotional support. But sometimes I have to admit that i cannot do it all!

      Dr. Tom LaHue six of our 9 kids are still at home so they each have a night to clean the kitchen.... I put up a chart so it’s not ME telling them to do it and I let my 8w9 daughter pick her night first and then the 8w7. I just gave my 9w1 son what was left after his siblings picked... lol I knew he wouldn’t complain. 2w3 daughter picked hers based on her work schedule. Even just a reminder to the 18 year old gets a “Yeah, I KNOW mom!!!” and then I just make myself scarce because that is NOT the child to micromanage... which is my tendency. I’m not sure what my little guys are yet but I think my 10 year old may be headed down a 1 path like me and I see some major 8 hints in the 6 year old. But that could also just be 6 year old boy, too. I love my daughters but sons are less drama. Harder to keep alive, but less drama.

    I am a strong Female 8 with a 7 wing, based on your description. I am a small petite woman, 5"0, but inside my head, I am 5'8"! I very much relate to what you say in this video except the angry part. Protector, yes. Other people might classified me as angry, since I am very outspoken, and i don't back down from a challenge. I hate stupid rules or people trying to control me. And I will be vocal about it. With maturity, I have learned when to speak up and when to keep my mouth shut. And also have become more sensitive to what others are experiencing in my presence. I used to be oblivious to that! I will defend the weak and those that cant stand up for themselves. I like direct communication, please get to the point! Please answer my question, and not what you think I am asking!! Great video.

Was a leader when I was a kid but grew up in a turbulent family, where I wasn't allowed to express any sort of anger so I just went into the 9 wing. Recently started to get happier, out of a looong depression and I'm starting to see myself acting out more of that 8 and even 7 at times, which I think is great. The future is going to be interesting ;))

      I worked with an abusive and manipulative boss. I often was the person to stand up to him, but that didn't take long for him to remove me. I still hear stories of what he does there. Sometimes, I kick myself because now there is no one there to protect the friendly coworkers there, but I realize that is not an environment I could have functioned in any longer. It also frustrates me because my best friend still works there and just continues to take the abuse and low pay. I keep telling him there is no benefit to staying there, be he persists despite everything.

The basic stereotypes of the 8 definitely skew towards 8w7 and I think people have a hard time understanding what 8w9s are like. • @drewavery7811

    This was really helpful. When I test I always come out 8w7. The 8 is validated by the fact that 5 is where I retreat when stressed and when I'm at my best my 2 comes forth (which itself is a bit stressful). Life has forced me to be more 2 than I would like. I love your "auto-rebellion" - it fits me well. But I'm too introverted to be 8w7 as you describe it. I'm more into carving my own way than domineering or wheeler-dealing others. Your description of 8w9 made me feel right at home. I live with strong purpose, values and people I'll fight for, but I'm chill when I have a choice, and prefer to challenge with charm. I also listened to your 9w8, too self-effacing for me, too slow to arouse. So I'm comfortable with 8w9. So why do I score high on 7? I suppose because "lust" for exciting experiences defines me in a big way. But I'm just not that extroverted and I plan my adventures rather than chase them. Anyway, thank you for your helpful videos!

    • @Lizzzi86
      @Lizzzi86 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you know your MBTI? And your temperament? Some cognitive functions or temperaments make that some enneagram numbers score higher in tests. Just because the questions ask how you act, but enneagram and MBTI and temperament can influence.

      Same here. INTJ 8w7, but I'm too deliberate in what i do according to this video; I do think about myself and I do analyze before i act when shit is serious. But I *do* act when I (not anyone else) think the time is right. Though sometimes i just do what i wanna do and the world can burn, if that's all it takes for things to go to shit then fuck it.
      My tritype is 853 tho so i relate to all three types; I'm just not as inert as a 5 (though information is crucial) and I don't keep myself nearly as busy as a 3 if i don't want to, but sometimes what others think of me does preoccupy me temporarily.

    Very interesting. 8w7 sounds exactly like me in my 20’s. I was vicious! But 8w9 seems to be more like me now, although depends on the situation. I can snap right into 8w7. Thought between INTJ and 8, maybe some contradictions will be solved, but it’s doing the opposite. Although, my contradictions make perfect sense to me, just trying to have it make sense to others. It’s annoying how spot on some of these are. We must be programmed prototypes in a simulation.

    • @jedigovna4001
      @jedigovna4001 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Indeed, as an INTJ 8w7 as well, I always thought I was "unique" and full of myself. Once I found out about MBTI and enneagrams I was pretty surprised to be honest, thought it was gonna be some bs, but it seems like there are lots of us out there and we can be categorized, sadly for my past self, lol. Might be a simulation, or might just be evolution, i'm hoping it's the former, would make it more interesting, haha.
