  • The original movie: • The Hunt For Gollum - ...
And the slightly expanded edition: • THE HUNT FOR GOLLUM - ...
Please watch one! The Hunt for Gollum is really on my top 5 LOTR movies. Yes, that includes the Peter Jackson Trilogy and the old animated Hobbit. I like the old animated hobbit. Don't ask why.

Hey guys, this is video is a bit cut down from the one I had originally hoped to post. I had wanted to do a comparison between the Hunt For Gollum's soundtrack and Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings music. It got a copyright flag, so I had to remove it. Funnily enough, TH-cam thought that part of the Hunt for Gollum soundtrack clip was part of Howard Shore's music.

I have yet to watch "The Hunt For Gollum", but I did watch the one-hour film, Born of Hope. I found Born of hope quite enchanting, in part due to my love of the rangers of the north, and disappointment that their group was forgotten in the movie trilogy.

The Hobbit for sure is an objectively better film, but for some reason I enjoyed this short film more, maybe because it was amazing how they did it all themselves and managed to keep the gravity in the Lord of the Rings. I'd have to think more about why I do like it so much. (and probably rewatch the Hobbit)
