when i tell yall i was not prepared for this episode lol :) ty for the kind support for this show and reaction series! it's become one of my favorites :) episode 19 will be going up today for early access on my patreon! patreon.com/alanamisako
Her Mom guide him on playing piano since kid that's the only reason why kosei live that's why her mom thought what if she passed away what will kosei going to do.. that's why he made kosei very successful in piano so that he can live a life in the future
Can you imagine... The first 3 people that recommended me some short length anime series, one recommended Your Lie in April, then a month later the second one Anohana. And a couple of months later the third one Violet Evergarden. . . I think they allied themselves to destroy my life.
@@asoiafan lol hahaha sorry about that. Great movie, though. My actual suggestion is Summer Wars. No trolling, that is a feel good movie, very underappreciated. You'll like it.
This is actually my first time watching Your Lie in April and honestly that scene where Kousei's mother was beating the shit out of him was so shocking I forgot this was a reaction video
I would advise you to see the complete episode again later or before watch here because there are a lot of parts that need to be cut to be in youtube, half of the episode is not here
Something to notice as the story progresses is the change in color palette. Especially with Kaori the saturation is decreased every episode to further give the mood
Thanks for your emotional reaction to this wonderful show. As others have already mentioned, I'd like to suggest "Violet Evergarden" for a future watch. It's so absolutely beautiful.
She wanted him to be successful. There was nothing she could do for him in the future, she knew she was dying. Abuse born of desperation in the hope he'd be able to be able to survive later. I'm not giving her a pass either. Pretty savage. I think he's in much better hands now with his new friend. I guess thanks for laying the foundation, mom, buuut he's in better hands and I'm not going to apologize for speaking ill of the dead.
The title of the episode, Resonance, literally means the "quality in a sound of being deep, full, and reverberating", which is ironically what he cannot hear when he plays. At the same time resonance figuratively means a lasting effect of something to someone, which pertains to his mother's abuse having a lasting effect on his subconscious. Both meanings are shown in this episode. I seriously didn't think the episode titles cannot get any more deeper but here we are
it's really hard to have to relate to parental abuse, at times you feel like you've overcome it, through life, therapy etc, but then you get a little older and you realize that even if you are better, some parts of your behavior and personality are still affected by those events. It feels like a lifelong battle against that inner voice that punishes you.
You also have to remember that we're seeing his mom through his memories, which are full of regret and guilt. Just like the cat is the representation of his doubt, insecurities and trauma, the mom ghost we see it's his regret and guilt.
3:49 When I first started watching this show, I didn't do much research about it, so I was thinking it's going to be just some romance series about two opposites attracting, while improving each other in the process, helping each other fight demons of the past and overcoming the obstacles on their way to being together. But the quick scene with pills in Kaori's bag made me realize for the first time that this won't be a happy story and something really bad is coming.
Keep going and we will endure this together Alana. I know this is harsh. But life needs us to be strong. Thank you for sincere reaction. My tears also dropped with yours. Although I already watched it before. So sad.
Your lie in April is sooo good. I love the animation, the characters, the music, all of it is so good. Don’t get me wrong I 100% cried multiple times 😂 but it’s soooo good
Please react to violet evergarden Alana. Thats another masterpiece which I think might be your taste. Its a beautiful show with great message and heart.
sorry for trauma dumping but this episode really shot me in the feels. As someone who has a pretty messed up father, the scene where Kousei's mother beat the crap outta him I can very much relate to that shit
As much as I loved Your Lie in April whenever Crunchyroll offers because you watched YLiA recommendations part of me just stares at them and thinks is this a trap?

Hahaha might I suggest the light hearted comedy Grave of the Fireflies to cleanse your pallet?
@@dxrebel I have already seen it. Truly, TRULY, a refreshing movie to recover from my previous trauma 🙃

This part of the show was what hit me the most, more so than the rest, especially when we get the full story with the mother.
that "treasure" scene with the music always gives the chills.
Now read Oyasumi Punpun and watch Ping Pong the Animation.
You gotta be prepared for what comes ahead, this was one my first anime and I'll tell you I was not fine after finishing this.
No one can be fine after finishing this anime 💔

The pain is too real 😢💔
An important thing is, this anime is about point of view too. At this moment we are only seeing the protagonist's point of view.
