- Major League Fishing Toyota Series 2024 kicked off at Clearlake, and I was able to secure the victory. In this video, I get in depth on how I did it. Most of that I did on IG. Due to the rain, I didn't film while I was fishing. But will do that in the future as weather permits.

You provided some great insight into the jig you were flipping. Can you share the ounce size you were fishing and why that size? Why did you choose a jig versus flipping some type of creature bait. I know you mentioned you did use a Big Bite brush hog style bait. Was it simply you didn’t get the bites with the creature bait? Thanks Ken!

We should all never think there is not more to learn. I'm a student of the game also
Been paying attention to a lot of the tournament recaps for recent big tourneys and it seems like one of the trends is the guy that wins usually had an okay or crappy practice. Didn’t find much, didn’t catch many fish, but got just enough of a clue to tell you what to do Day 1, and then you just build from there.
I think a lot of times those epic practices can be very misleading and then you get stuck in the tournament trying to replicate instead of just fishing and learning as you go.
Congrats tho brotha. Your mindset and approach is really something i look up to and pull from. Not many guys who are as detailed as you are
I could not agree with you more. Usually, great practices close our mind off to fishing open and trusting ourselves because of what happened yesterday or 2 days ago. I always say our minds are super computers that require data input, and sometime that data input can be skewed. Just like you say we keep trying to replicate it. Great observation

If they are deeper thannits less important. But mastering the presentation should be something you strive for on every cast.
