Something I love about the resident Easter egg that I haven’t seen anyone point out is that Chris red field is voiced by roger craig smith who also voiced Kyle crane in the first dying light

The fact that Gazi is still alive somewhere and even made it to this new city warmed my heart. Before the original Dying Light released my 8th grade class had red and watched an adaptation of Flowers for Algernon. When Gazi had mentioned the story in his quest it left a deep impact on me.
hey! there’s actually one where if you go into the antenna tower’s area, Aiden notes “at least i didn’t have to climb this tower” or something along those lines. referencing how Crane climbed an antenna tower in the first game.
Also there is a side mission you can find on the PK Boat where you have to collect PK Dog Tags, if you do all of the side quests for that person, the last one is getting Leon's dog tags which confirms he is Leon Kennedy. Also you get a charm of dog tags for your weapons which has Kyle Crane written on them. :)
To get the charm that repairs weapons ("Korek" charm, yes, just like the Korek machete from dying light 1) you just have to sit on all 4 seats around the table with the note and wait a couple seconds for it to appear on the table, then just pick it up. Edit: the Korek charm has been nerfed/buffed and now costs 400 mutation samples to apply. Edit 2: In the dev room if you look for a dartboard, you can find a "signpost axe" on it which is the last hope weapon, seen in all commercial media for dying light 2 and obtainable in dying light 1.HARD (for quite a while now except I forgot to edit my comment)
(I haven't tried this myself so I'm not 100% sure but I'll edit this once I have) After the dancing zombie easter egg, if you kill the zombie, a container should spawn and in it a blueprint for a throwable item named "United in Fun - Everyone Can Play" should appear. That item, when used, throws soccer balls that stagger enemies. It, similarily to the Cyberhands 2177, costs 369 scraps to make (for every single soccer ball).
And after that go to the bedroom and sit on the floor then sit on the bed and something else happens and you get a bonus blueprint. The left hand of glova
When the Liquidator says "You can do amazing stuff. almost like Kyle Crane.", Is a nod to the kid in the Old Town smaller tower, where the shop guy is, who says "You are amazing, almost like the real Kyle Crane." And then makes you do a bunch of parkour challenges to prove yourself as the real Crane.
You know, there is a small easter egg that is easy to miss. In the beginning, sometime before you reach the tunnel, you walk next to an abandoned satellite tower, and then Aiden remarks that he's lucky that he doesn't have to climb the tower all by himself, which is a nod to Crane having done something like that in the very first game.

Most of them are the movie series Alien references. There are some also from movies like Elias Gordon from Platoon and Adrian Caparzo from Saving Private Ryan
It wouldn't let me collect any dog tags or anything off of the Dead PKs in the broadcast mission. Was it a bug? Or is there some other time I'm supposed to do it? He said he wanted me to collect them and then I tried and it didn't show any way to search them, I had to move on.
Liquidator is really mysterious and I hope that the future DLC would reveal him. I think Liquidator is the little boy in the tower (just beside the stash and the store) from sector 0. He gives you some parkour challenges that his father had instructed him to give some reward ( guess it was sort of valuables or jewellery ) to Crane. After completing some challenges, he says that “You are amazing, Almost like the real Kyle Crane “ and this is very similar to the text that the Liquidator said.
That pan of destiny is quite powerful actually since it has infinite ammo and does everything a throwing knife does, which includes one shot explosive zombies, triggering electric boxes and gas containers and other traps.
When I saw The Who do you voodoo reference in the beginning of the game I was so happy I grew up on dead island and to see that tech land still acknowledged the game makes me happy
For anyone using the Cyberhands 2177, here is a way to make it effective. Since the weapon isn't strong and it canNOT be upgrade, it does knock zombies down which is really good if you have the Stomp ability allowing you to one tap them basically. For humans on the other hand, it works as well but its trickier to Stomp on them given how fast they get up so it may be better to use something else.

The last Easter egg you showed I found on accident. Then it took me many times to figure out the floors to go to for all 3 power cables. I figured out the teddy bears when I sat down and went for a smoke. Didn't find out about sitting in all the places in the room until later. I LOVE dying light 2. And have ranked up some 240 hours in the game and still haven't beat it. Lol. I know right. My friends keep giving me shit over it. Just have to much fun with side quests and farming volitiles. Can get some 120 uncommon 30 rare and 14 unique trophies in as little as 10 minutes. Just need to find a few screamers close by and use around 300 shock arrows oftentimes get away with out taking damage. Have almost everything fully upgraded. Once I get everything I'll finish it. Lol
I figured out that going underneath certain bridges where you have to crouch during a chase will keep the chase going, but they can't get under there to come after you and you can just smite them with your arrows. (Jump in the water if they keep attacking you and you need to get away until you get underneath one of those bridges) I figured that out by accident during the mission where you have to collect petals, I kept the chase going until the sun came up and formed a massive amount of the trophies. I've also used the security Tower in front of the floating fortress as a perfect place to farm, (which is coincidentally on top of a bridge, I just haven't used the bridge technique in this area because I haven't needed to with the UV lights on the security tower), you can jump up on a little plastic container and be in the UV light without having the chase end and if you do it close to morning you can get a whole bunch of volatiles popping up during level 3 and 4 chase who will just not attack you, (it's got to be close enough to morning that their skin is already starting to burn), and try to run away to shelter as they come out from a truck nearby, and you can just keep shooting them as they try to climb the building and run away right before the sun comes up. Hope that explanation makes sense. Best farming spots I've found

I've tried finding out what happens but there's nothing about it anywhere, only videos other bits constantly saying "how to get the pan" and stuff like that. Can someone please answer my query because I'm really want to know if anything interesting happens.
You forgot about the doom easter egg which has two plans: the force from star wars and the toy sword that kid in the pk base uses, And you missed that the korek charm that allows you to repair your weapons as much as you want is supposed to be obtained by sitting in all the chairs in the room with the dev letter

Best farming spots I've found
Tolga and fatin coming in clutch from the last game
It litterally made me cry
Everytime they make a reference to the last game it makes me shed a tear but to know they are still alive made me fricking scream
Facts, I was so happy they didn't crash and die during their tunnel incident in Dying Light 1
DL2 is def gonna be my game of the year.. I say this knowing that Horizon2 is coming out in a couple weeks..
Gonna be a close race, no doubt!!!
The pan is at least good at staggering enemies so you can approach and attack mostly safely
4:20 I got SO SCARED at the loud pow I dropped my tablet on my face
When i first started the game, when i was with Spike in that house, i went to get something to drink and came back to see and hear spike playing the theme.. Man.. even now, i get chills. Oh also, you mentioned the dev room at the end, but didn't mention the korek charm giving 500 durability every time you apply it, meaning you have infinite durablity
12:20 Aiden really shouldn't be so surprised. Every NPC can teleport in DL2
That “Who do you voodoo” easter egg was genius
One other easter eeg is the cordyceps on one of the zombies head in the broadcast mission this is a reference to the last of us
Seeing everyone enjoy dl2 makes me wanna buy the game now and play it but I'm so cheap and will wait for the game to be around $40
Maybe you can get it secondhand or preowned version of it
Or your one of those digital buyers
We digital users just wait for a sale on the PS store. It'll be on sale in about a month. 😂🤑
@@lunaticgaming7967 Lol sure bro
We Xbox players go splits with a friend and game share with them. So we're basically ALWAYS paying sale prices...sucker lol.
10:18 the "here's where my story ends, *bro*" is probably; no, most definitely a reference to Leon when first meeting Salazar, being offered to bring Ashley in, with "I've been expecting you, my brethrens", responding with the infamous "no thanks... bro!"
I found a easteregg in old villador. When you first go to the bazaar and look at the missing person wall on the left of the door that you have to go through you can find a missing person poster of breckon from the 1st game
Glad to see tolga and fatin again.
Hello! I was just playing amnesia, the dark descent, and I found something interesting and immediately thought of you.
Whenever you throw an inkwell and quill, the inkwell will fall with regular gravity, but the quill will fall slower because it's a feather. I just figured it would be a nice little detail that you'd be interested in.
I really need to play the games. I purchased them but never downloaded them
@@partydue123 they are great
@@FreshyKiller I purchased the first two games back in like 2016 or something
at some points in dying light 2 if you were in high places you could hear the dying light theme from the first game this happened to me a lot and I just found it very cool that techland still loves dying light 1
I love this game! found a lot of Easter eggs my self and it took a while to get the doom one and developer room so thanks for finding all these for us!
What was the doom one?
@@rileygibson242I know this late but you need to collect all 5 ducks and go to VNC tower floor 0
8:58 i like how Aiden has no head when he flips XDD
Resident Evil fans when seeing a Leon and Chris reference. Oh I know you two from another world 🫡💪🏽
What happens if you decide to go with the space chicken?🤔
The teleport doesn't work on Aiden, and the chicken will say he'll try again the next time he sees each other, if there's a next time
In the Tolga and Fatin quest, you can see the boat they used in a cave, and a video game machine for Call of Jaurez
There's something that I'm curious about (I don't own the game so I can't find out myself), what happens if you choose the agree option with the chicken instead of the option that gives you the pan? I've tried finding out what happens but there's nothing about it anywhere, only videos other bits constantly saying "how to get the pan" and stuff like that. Can someone please answer my query because I'm really want to know if anything interesting happens.
he teleports then radios telling you that he can’t get you to teleport or something along those lines then you get the pan and that’s it
@@caubiy yep. He says he miscalculated how much you weigh and was unable to teleport you for it
Fatin and tolga the duo is back!!!!
You forgot about the doom easter egg which has two plans: the force from star wars and the toy sword that kid in the pk base uses,
And you missed that the korek charm that allows you to repair your weapons as much as you want is supposed to be obtained by sitting in all the chairs in the room with the dev letter
Just what i wanted you to do thank you for making this i love dying light games and mostly your video's
There’s also a reference to aliens where there’s 2 dog tags you find In the pk elevator mission ones called hicks and one is hudson
I like that they put stuff like this in the game to find instead of just the references being something you read and see and have the special items behind a pay wall
Ik it's a bit buggy rn but I really love it, and I know techland is gonna improve it as time goes on dl1 took a few years to get good
That Resident Evil easter egg is really awesome. As a big Resident Evil fan(dead giveaway with my profile pic) it is pretty surprising to see such a reference in the middle of a main mission, since I wouldn't usually go find easter eggs on my first playthrough. When Leon said give the letter to his wife I was really hoping her name would be Claire🤣🤣
The cyberpunk Easter egg being buggy could be an Easter egg itself
When I saw the trailer for dying light 2 I feel in love with it and yes I just got the game this month so I could play in the summer and can say it’s 10x better than the first dying light game
Dying Light 2 is nowhere near as good as the first.
Cap It’s as good as the first
I actually found the last easter egg by accident but did not know you could get a weapon from it. So thanks for sharing!
5:25 the same sword & some other kid is in Viledoor in the Bazar if i recall correctly it was close to the hospital area inside the Bazar area ;)
4:25 😂 i like it
Find it funny that they changed Chris' dogtag to Bluefield instead of Redfield
Also during the VNC tower mission the PK squad are named after the Marine squad from Aliens. Weirsbowski, Hicks and Hudson are the dog tags I found.
That dancing zombie reference *looks* like it could refer back to Young Frankenstein, when Frankensteins monster gets presented to the public and sings/dances along to puttin on the ritz
Thank you for this video it brought back memories and nostalgia from dying light 1 and also thank you for making this video about these easter eggs from different zombie apocalypse games this brought back memories and nostalgia from all those other zombie apocalypse games and shows and movies from the past brought back memories and nostalgia from the past
At the last easter egg, you can turn on the music player under the TV and it's a remixed version of the first Dying Light theme song.
