I used a 400CST as already had it in the workshop. I would recommend 500 to 600 though. Took it out yesterday for 1st time since mods and it was way more supple, absorbed the bumps and even accellerated better due to squat and weight transfer :)

That's what I'm asking myself, too. I tried bigger washers today, but you can immediately feel that the wheel doesn't spin as good as before. I guess it all depends on the thickness of the washer, I'll give it another try with a slimmer one.

Hi Jason. Easiest thing to check on any 4wd with this kind of driveline is that everything is connected. At the front where the propshaft connects to the gearbox there will be a little coupler thing with a slot that the propshaft goes into (this is so hard to explain without pictures lol) it has a grubscrew that holds it to the shaft. If this is loose it can spin around the shaft without providing drive! ... er ... just thinking how else to explain it! If stuck message via our facebook and I'll send a pic! facebook.com/mandprc

@@steveo2009100 you could make them work but until that pinch bolt is fully tightened they'd never drill centrally to enlarge to 5mm and if they did it might weaken them. Better to use a solid hex. Hardly any have a 5mm centre tho.

@@strzelcow 5mm drillbit. The Quantum has a m5 shaft. Just enlarges it by 1mm...mine were probably worn as they were 2nd hand from my crawler. Apologies for not thinking. 10 seconds with a drillbit and you'll be fine.

Used mine 2 times bent axle both times that is a big design fault

By the time you upgrade all the axles you could have just bought a quantum plus which is much better

We have both now, very different trucks to drive, I think the original Q is way more of a handful and is certainly faster (in a straight line, the plus is easier to use the power)
The newer Quantums will be supplied with the HD bits and an 80A esc now anyway and are still about 90 quid cheaper.
