I like the juxtaposition of the background and the level, but I have to imagine it's more so a leftover of early work, but if it was intentionally put in the level I'd say keep it in spite of what others say.
The level itself is well designed but the background needs to be changed. It looks too colourful and happy for a castle level, maybe change the sky to a more darker one.

The background is fine don't change it it's cool it's like you can see the world map while you're playing the level
