  • Hello Everyone, here's another level I've made. It's my version of what the World 6 Castle should be. I seem to have a thing with castles without lava, I don't know why, I guess I just find them cliche.
Anyways, the main idea behind this level is the 5-enemy max platform. So the idea is that you have to survive on the platform while enemies fall on the platform, and if too many are on the platform at once, the platform stops. I got some of my ideas from World 5-4, the level where this platform originates, but I also wanted to add some more unique ideas.
While I start with enemies like Goombas and Koopas, I decide to use more difficult enemies like Spinies and Dried Bones to increase the difficultly in the second half of the level. I feel the level is a bit on the long side, and could've used shortening.
    Anyways, I hope you enjoy!

I find lava castles cliche sometimes, too. But for World 8, a lava castle makes almost TOO much sense.

Making levels for New Super Mario Bros Wii uses a software called Reggie. So I would suggest searching Reggie Level Editor for information.
In short, you need to download the software, you need an ISO or WBFS file of the game or the internal files of the game to run the editor, there are different methods you can do this, then you need some way to patch the level files in your game so you can play the levels.
Then you need something to run the game which can either be an emulator, which I am using, or the a compatible console (i.e. wii or wii u). If you want to use the console you're going to need to download homebrew software on the console which I am not familiar with.
If you want starters on making levels just look up Reggie Level Editor and you'll probably figure it out from there!
