Just a quick correction: I've got one of these - it's IP65-rated, which means it's effectively waterproof. Battery and motor electrics are sealed against water so you can drive it through deep puddles and it'll be no problem. Plus their 24-month warranty actually covers any water ingress - no other scooter covers that! I use it in Amsterdam rains and (small) floods and it works a treat (I also wear a helmet; the police appear to look the other way.. )
All scooters should be 100% water proof. It's bad engineering and cutting corners to maximize profits that allows for water to enter into vital parts that could fail under heavy rain fall. Lame is what I call it if they fail in the conditions you mentioned.

I've been using this scooter for about 4 months now, commuting daily from my place to work or to a friend's house several kilometers away. It handles well in the rain and feels quite stable, but I do wish it had some cushioning. Also, I wouldn't recommend using a scooter with this type of folding mechanism if you're planning to ride on dirt roads-it tends to catch branches and debris in the hinge. Aside from that, I'm really pleased with it and find it to be very reliable.
Thanks for the comment. My handlebars don't seem to want to fold anymore! Maybe something has got stuck in them

I purchased the Air Pure scooter from the Pure Electric website on 17/02/2024. Overall, the scooter is of good quality, with a very comfortable riding position and excellent maneuverability in urban environments. However, some components, like the throttle, are of mediocre quality; I’ve already had to replace it at my own expense.
The real issue lies with the after-sales service. I use this scooter daily and have covered 1600 km in six months, which is typical for this kind of usage. Unfortunately, as often happens, parts can break. However, the parts used by Pure Electric are unique, and it’s impossible to find replacements elsewhere. Worse still, their customer service is simply non-existent.
In mid-July, I broke a small but crucial part, rendering the scooter unusable. Since then, I’ve been trying for over a month to contact their after-sales service via email and phone, without any response. Therefore, despite a good riding experience, I strongly advise against purchasing a Pure Electric scooter due to their completely absent customer support.

The govt needs to sort its shit out where these are concerned. No other vehicle is restricted or illegal in the same way, so why these are outlawed is beyond me. Cool bit of kit though 😄
But daft isn't it? Hopefully it will change soon as they are good economical transport

The more people on economical green friendly electric scooters the more money the government lose in driving offences, speeding offences , drink drive offences , parking offences , driving without due care or attention offences , driving without tax, insurance, MOT even a license , it all perfectly makes sense why they don't allow the greener way to travel it's all about the 💰💰💰💰💰
2026 the rental scooter trials have been extended to apparently so we are way off legislation and there will be strict low limits on speed and motor power likely 500 watt max and 15.5mph. Not enough power for heavier riders on hills in my view
I drive mine to work in London. Met were told to stop harassing users of them . Only if I say hit a child, and I have a driving licence, then I'd get points on my license , maybe even lose it . But highly unlikely
Hey Pal.. Your Black Staffie reminds me of my late Coco. She was a rescue dog and I loved her until I had to have her put down. She was a brilliant dog and I used to walk her for miles and miles and she would keep up. She also had a white patch underneath in the same spot too. I believe the breed is called VIXEN TEMPTRESS. There you go. I am not keen on this scooter. Think it's just a little above average for the price range. Could get better
She's been on some pretty big hikes but never stops moving doesn't know how to pace herself 😂

Do you not find the handle bars too short? I’m 5.4 and it seems so small compared to the other pure scooters I’ve had I’m literally crouching? I’ve had a different pure scooter which is abit older than this one and found that one much better faster and better at climbing hills really disappointed with this one :/
Well I've got pretty long arms so I guess that helps. You're right it ain't great on the hills, goes down to about 8mph sometimes

How do you set up the scooter from the beginning once it’s out of the box
Think it's just a case of turning it on. You can get an app for your phone but didn't use it myself

Have you tapped it into sports mode? I find it a little slow myself though
Scootors feels fast on footpaths but slow on the road i think because they are going 3 times faster on the road
So max it runs is 12 mph? Same as unagi e500 which sucks xD

The max it runs is 15.5mph. I get about 12 miles out of that
@@MrWildWales exactly the same as in my unagi e500... max it peaks is 13 miles per hour... battery wise sucks.. should last longer.
@@MrWildWales Update: I finally got my unagi e500 unlocked ! Which makes it run at 18 mph ! Its amaaaaZing!
@@darkevilpt5306 please dont my whole scooter is broken from removing the speed limiter it will damge the hall sensor (error 18) also damges the controller

Yep all working good though I am now selling it in favour of my new ebike. Did find it slightly sluggish up hills so appreciate the extra pedal power

Ya be wise to use a Bash Hat & gloves as minimal with that dude...!✔️💯 I hit a slab edge riding a hard tyred push Scooter, a few years back & somersaulted, was abit bloody but survived it... Was going over London Bridge of all places...!😄🙄🤣 Two people stopped to help scrape me up off the pavement & patch me up...!🙂🙏💕 A guy going down a local road near me on electric scooter wasn't so lucky, he hit a rut or hole & then he hit the road...😐 Game Over...😔 There are also many off road versions, chunky tyres & suspension worth considering depending on local surfaces... & good brakes R top of the list...👍 Stay safe & enjoy...!👊

I found it a bit annoying around here with all the hills we've got but it was brilliant for flat areas

Well living in Swansea it's all hilly so I've swapped to an Ebike so I can pedal when going uphill. Scooters will work but you end up going very slow on steep hills
Yeah, it is a bit bizarre with the legality, I think the main issue is that only pedal assistance is allowed on ebikes, no throttles allowed.
Still makes no sense though, outdated law that does not really fit now 😅

I'd like to have a escooter but sod's law follows me everywhere so I'm likely to get pulled over by the police and get it taken away lol. I can wait for it to get legalised one day and hope they can use the cycle lanes cos as you say, I've also seen cyclists overtake some of the escooter riders.

oh so this is the little scooter you was saying you had yes looks good and there handy to get you from a to b mine surposed to do 50 mph but i get about 45 mph and 30 miles range when they say 50 lol yes never believe what manufacturers say lol check mine out i have done a wild camp up ashhurst beacon in the west lancashire on mine and its on my channel give you a laugh oh and i still havn,t done a review on mine and i got 3 now lol and mine has keys and its alarmed

Electric scooters are illegal in the uk they can only be used on your own private land and you can be prosecuted under dangerous driving laws including fines and points in your license. At some point these need to be made legal with insurance and tax and a license to use them as a great way to travel green.
Correct bud! However it's perfectly legal to hire a scooter in the UK and use it on the roads...
@@MrWildWales only within a set radius of the hire points but a lot of these are now expiring or ending as government trials are ending. It concerns me that kids and grown ups fly around main roads with no road sense, training, license or insurance but this is changing. Also serious safety issues with the batteries so they might end up banned yet China have had over a 100 fires this past few weeks all related to these batteries 😳🙄👍

I’ve got the gen 2. The latch on folding mechanism is super poor quality and becomes loose constantly during riding. These pure screws are just death traps.

@@MrWildWales i tried once to drive like that with my 1000W scooter and no, it doesnt work. Too much leaning needed to make it any safe or comfortable
@@MrWildWales and i am pretty sure when i upgrade to a proper scooter with definitely crazy acceleration (so 2x2000W at absolut least), it would be even a worse idea to stand like that on a scooter
