    will have to check them, have palm L/XL but fingers M and that fact giving me lot of problems to find good fit, nice review as always, 30K subs is a huge mile stone history good luck for 40K, cheers V!

      Cheers V, I have. Similar problem with quite wide hands but short fingers. I’ve always found Knox to be a brand that fit me pretty well.

    Nice review Tony. These gloves look to be an ideal next choice for me! I like the not too in your face style and that cuff system is genius! At 100 quid they seem to be very reasonably priced for the spec. Well done Knox!

    I like these gloves. They look rather like those Rev'It ones. I bet these are better. I'll get a pair when I'm back in Europe along with a pair of their mesh pants. I'll pass on the jackets, though. I don't like them.
    Good review, Tony.

  • @pruplebug

    They look good. Just ordered a pair. Hopefully no more sweaty palms on hot days. They seem to be available in bigger sizes than a lot of gloves too.

    • @mancavemoto

      @@mancavemoto had a few rides with these now and they’re great. Fit on the right thumb was a little tight but seems to be getting better with use, probably just my fat thumb 😆 nice to find some gloves that are available in larger sizes too (does no one else have big hands?)
      Good comfort and enough airflow to keep your hands cool on really hot days and getting caught in the rain wasn’t an issue, hands stayed dry but then I do have hand guards on the bike which obviously helps.
      Better feel than the thicker gloves I used to use, although that does mean you feel a little more vibration from the engine through the grips at higher revs, but that’s obviously just my experience with my bike specifically (Triumph Street Scrambler).
      A very good glove overall and will be using them until it gets too cold. Will be interesting to see how they work with the heated grips in cooler weather.

    • @FrancisJSmith

      I have a problem with their sizing. I’m normally a size L, ie large, but Knox has me as a size 2XL! I could understand if the jackets/shirt were made in the Far East, but for an English manufacturer, a bit strange.

    • @brindlebeard
      @brindlebeard 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The garments are supposed to fit tight. I ride in some warm weather (Atlanta Georgia USA) and the Knox Urbane shirt is not easy to get off when I have been sweating.

    • @FrancisJSmith
      @FrancisJSmith 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was advised by Knox to wear a base layer shirt under my Zephyr Pro and Urbane Pro Shirt. I use either Adidas Alpaskin or Harley Davidson Mesh shirts, which soak up the sweat; as I ride in hot Andalusia.

  • @Yelwas
    @Yelwas ปีที่แล้ว

    Tony, great review, one thought, when you road tested your bike had hand guards, my bike also has hand guards and they divert just about 100% of the passing air over my hand, so if your hand gaurds are as effective as mine, how did you test the air flow through the material to your skin. I am really keen on a reply as I am desperately needing summer gloves.

    Just watched this again.
    I never got round to buying any kit last year when I went back to Portugal from Thailand, but I'm going back again next weekend, so I'll be stocking up on kit from Germany. No chance of importing anything from GB anymore. The big question: have these gloves held up in the last twelve months, Tony?

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      They've done pretty well, although I switched to a pair of Rev'it Caliber gloves which I found more comfortable, and being light grey are better on hot sunny days

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is, but if they last and offer comfort and airflow in hot weather then I think its a decent investment. There are always going to be a cheaper option, but maybe not with this level of protection and the breathability combined? I pais £129 for a pair of Halvarssons Advance gloves, and they are still going strong four years later.
