    My sister lives in Walnut Creek, she really enjoys it. It's nice to get a different perspective of CA beside LA and SF and how bad CA is.

      Yes WC is great, there are so many wonderful parts of CA! I know there are parts that are bad but I love where I am and telling people about it! I am so glad you enjoyed! :)

    Lived in Walnut Creek for 7 years, and I loved EVERYTHING about it. I was lucky because I lived in the downtown area, so everything was walkable. WC Bart was 3 1/2 blocks from my apartment, Target was literally a block from my apartment.
    The downtown area has everything you could need. Big chain stores & restaurants, but also mom and pop stores and restaurants. I always walked to everything when I was home. Worked in the city, so commuted on BART everyday. Coming from NYC where my commute was always over an hour, the 35 minute BART ride was a breeze.
    People always used to say, outside of San Francisco, people would come to WC to shop and eat. Now when it comes to weather, there are so many microclimates in the Bay Area, so yeah WC is hotter than SF when it comes to the highs, but oddly enough, the lows are usually very similar. Sometimes the lows are lower in WC. But if you get a nice 85 degree day in the summer in WC, that’s just perfect. And it very rarely gets in the high 90s or in the 100s in WC. Plus the humidity level is pretty low almost all year.
    I’m a native NYer, and I would say my favorite place I’ve ever lived was in Walnut Creek, Ca. I was just so happy there. I love the Bay Area in general, my favorite places being Walnut Creek, Napa/Sonoma & Sausalito.

      I know I feel the same way! You nailed it! For an really urban city Manhattan is my absolute favorite, but to raise a family I think WC is the best place in CA! I agree with everything you said so much and thank you for sharing it warms my heart to know someone else loves it just as much as I do! Have a great day and I just got back from the park in WC and the weather is perfection at 66 degrees! Have a great weekend!😀

      Thanks, you have a great weekend as well. Those who visit Walnut Creek, usually love it right away. I’ve brought my family members to see it, and they loved it.

    Grew up here . Nice city but housing prices are ridiculous. We bought property years back so we did well . But there’s no way I will put in 1.5 M for another home that is decent . The builds are old and always have old issues .

    This place has become boiling hot! Every day lately is above 90. You can’t be outside in the day. I hate having to be inside during the summer.

      Global warming for sure and I guarantee it’s way better than Texas, Arizona, nyc and fl. It’s great at night here.

      "Every day?" Lol. Hardly!! I've lived here for 20 years. There are a few spotted days of summer that are hot but overall very pleasant. Mornings and evenings very chilly.

    I work in Walnut Creek. It’s nice, a lot of restaurants, and more expensive than concord.

    Is Walnut Creek more spacious compared to the peninsula cities like San Mateo/ Belmont? Walnut Creek seems more relaxed and more green

      Yes and a bit of a different vibe, SM and Belmont have a bit more history then WC too and are right there on the water and have the trees to the back of them. WC is nestled near Mt. Diablo and will be a lot warmer. It is really great and I love it, having grown up here. :). 2 different vibes but both are great, just need to know what you are looking for plus it will be more affordable than SM / Belmont. ;)

      If u live close to dt wc it’s totally walkable but as you move into sfr homes it’s definitely less walkable. Glad u enjoy the videos!☺️

    what abt the homeless shelter close to WC downtown? Is it considered a con

    • @RelocatingToTheSFBayArea
      @RelocatingToTheSFBayArea  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      To some yes it would be a con and to some it would be a pro. You can't really escape the homeless in CA no matter where you live....
