The Hunt for Red October (1990) At Those Movies

This movie was so good that both Siskel & Ebert give a emphatic thumbs up. Ebert liked that the plotline was much clearer than Clancy's book(I wholeheartedly agree). Siskel liked how the intelligence community played their cat and mouse games, along with Alec Baldwin's(back when he wasn't a a complete lunatic) standout performance. Audiences certainly agreed this was worth watching, this was the 11th highest grossing movie of 1990. My friends and I saw this at a military base in South Korea, we waited patiently in line that went around the side/back of the theater. Big thumbs up from me too, especially in the nostalgia dept.

It's hard to believe that there was a time when producers actually assumed the audience was intelligent.

This movie is very good. Unfortunately for me though, I can't really seem to stay awake throughout the whole movie. I always fall asleep at the end of the first half and I watch the second when I wake up. It's pretty annoying.

@@QuintTheSharker Although, I should add that when I do fall asleep during a movie like this. It's the type of falling asleep where you're just relaxed and enjoying yourself (almost too much), if you know what I mean.
