**Crazy Underwater Footage** Big Bass Attacking Bluegill Lures!

- Come underwater and watch these bass attacking bluegill! We're using a variety of bluegill imitating swimbaits and plastic worms to elicit reaction strikes. Early Spring signals the start of the war between bass and bluegill, let us show you how to take advantage of it and catch more bass in today's underwater video!
Once bass turn their attention to the shallows, bluegill become an immediate threat. Instinctively, bass begin to erratic them from their shallow haunts. Knowing this, we can stay one step ahead of the bass. By imitating bluegill we are able to draw on the bass' natural aggression and ultimately catch more fish.
In today's underwater footage we used a variety of bluegill imitators. From worms to swimbaits, we've linked all of the baits below in the order they appeared in the video. Just yesterday I put on my jointed bluegill bait with very low confidence. (Watched this video night before) popping it off the bottom slow retrieve and it got slammed. When I went to grab this monster my swivel failed and bent out of the keeper. It swam off with the lure still stuck in its mouth. Upset and feeling pretty bad about it all. Hate if for the fish most of all. So that said. When you put one of these baits on. Make sure your equipment can handle a those big fish. I will definitely tie to the lure from this point. Thanks for the awesome videos. Every time I watch them I get pumped up and ready to go fishing. You guys have been my bass fishing teachers for as long as you’ve been on TH-cam. The best hands down. I had good luck at the end of summer going into fall on those cheap Storm bluegill lures you get in 3 packs. I just take the bottom treble off like you guy's showed me, I just hop them around like a swim jig or something and they were nailing it. I also love the dark sleeper, Ive only caught 4 on a dark sleeper but all were over 4 pounds.

These bluegill swimbaits do wonders, though I haven't used them too much yet. I crush smallies with shad swimbaits. May do a bluegill vs shad swimbait comparison video to see which one is the real champ!

I have had a lot of success with the soft baits that look like Bluegill. Especially, in the Spring and Fall time of the year. You have given men an idea about fishing the shad worm in the winter. I have to try that. Nice video!!!

Great video footage. I think some of the lures were too large or the fish just weren't that excited about feeding (just in a defensive mode).

Matt, great video. Take a look at the crappie pattern baits. They work up here in the NE. Similar profile and definite forage fish up here. I grabbed a Hudd gill for this spring. Has a crappie yellow and black check to it. Can't wait for ice out

Been using Mattlures baits for as long as I can remember. Lucky for me, I have a good stock of his bluegills in all varieties and they will get used. The Dark Sleeper has produced for me as well. Great video, come on Spring time..lol

I love the little creeper sunfish. I caught a 7lb 5oz bass here in eastern KY on one. I already have 4 of them ready. They work in winter around weeds too. Work like a rattle trap. I like the new Savage Gear too. I have used them sight fishing and they get blasted
