I found an easy way to remove those bolts too. My 10mm Gearwrench fits those bolts on my '87 560SEL & 560SEC. Using a ratcheting head makes it very easy to do the first 1/2 turn of the bolts, which as you know can now be removed the rest of the way by hand. Nice video!!
Im from South Africa, love your channel and knowledge thanks for sharing. I have am looking to buy a w124. My worry is certain models of mercs had the bio degradable wiring harnesses. In your opinion which year models must i stay away from regarding this issue. Thanks
Hi, it is the 93 to 95 models with electronic fuel injection that had that issue. But do not be afraid to get one if the wiring harness has been changed or you can "steal" a real nice one for a good price where the seller knows it is a problem. Good used wiring harnesses are available on eBay ( date stamped made after 1996) and they are not that difficult to install.
