just a suggestion you should add a video on the taper hair cut for the practical with mannequin head I think you will have the whole collection just missing that
I went to school over 20 years ago but have to retest in a few weeks. I've been watching videos to refresh myself on state board procedures. I noticed everyone else applies product from the top of the quadrant down. I learned to do it the way you just did it. Has that changed over the years? Is it ok to start applying product from the bottom of the quadrant instead of the top? I'm not sure if each state is different when it comes to application. I'm in Tennessee.
I'm cosmetology. I took my board a couple weeks ago (literally 2 weeks ago) and they made us do one slice to demo a virgin relaxer. And another to do a retouch. That was it. Wasn't even a whole section.

im taking mine in about 2 weeks, in washington state and it'll be the same just one quarter in subsection, thats it
Jasmin Kaur I know this is a long shot but I take the washington state test tomorrow & I need some advice! If you see this please reply! I’d love to hear how it was! I just moved from Florida & never had to take a practical. I’ve been doing hair for 8 years. I’m so scared about tomorrow. I hope you see this 😭
@@caitlynnvanarnum1787 hi!!!! This might be a long shot too but I am in Florida and I am about to take my practical, any advice? I passed my clinical with a 96% but I am so nervous with the practical. Hope things went fantastic for you!
For virgin lightning how would you go back in to do the roots & ends ?

State board doesn't care if you Clip your parts like that? Just asking I'm taking my state board test this month I'm in the Bay Area as well
angel romero You must section off the hair as seen in the video. Different clips can be used, however the hair MUST be sectioned.

I'm taking the barber exam for Texas in one week, ours is different from this one as we have to do the relaxer and hair color retouch in the front of the partings (forehead to crown) my only concern is when putting back the soiled implements after the service, do we have to put them back in our kits or do we put them in a separate bag away from the kit?
slickrob713 DO NOT put the soiled implements back in the kit. You need a separate container labeled "Items To Be Disinfected." In this container, you will put all of your soiled implements from each service.

George Hernandez The virgin hair lightening will be done on one of the front sections, and the retouch will be done on the back section.

Virgin hair lightening and hair color retouch
Chemical relaxing and virgin retouch
Wrong that's not how a relaxer is done

Go on Amazon and type in mannequin heads with hair. They have synthetic and human hair.
