With most of my school hours being home through the pandemic. I decided to go back to school. Now I'm crunched for time and I forgot to ask for a video to study. You guys are so lucky as it's easier to pass state board imo compared to Aus. We have to complete the whole perm final and do the whole process on a live client and that's only after you have done several perms and show you are competent and you have to get the final perms perfect. Wish we could do it like this on dolly heads but we have to complete all finals on people not the dolly heads etc.
A girl from my cosmo school shared this video with me and I am so thankful because otherwise I have been in the dark. I live in MO but graduated and licensed in KS where we only had written tests. Now I've delayed scheduling the MO test because we didn't go over any of this at school and I could not for the life of me find answers or a human online really explaining how the practical goes and can't afford to buy a $160 practical test kit so I'm trying to gather the materials I need.
I wish that you would have had the screen where it appeared more wider because it seems to be very narrow I know that this video is about 3 and 1/2 4 years old I hope that you all were do a new one for 20/20 so that it allows people to steal be able to see exactly what is going on in terms of state board not every state has the same requirements but all states have the proper sanitation cleansing of your hands making sure your items are sterilized and labeled proper hair cutting coloring on base off base cutting at a 90-degree 45 degree angle please do some updated videos 20/20 thank you💇🏻💇🏼💇🏻💆🏽🤷🏼🤷🏻🤐🤔😎😇😪💆🏻💇🏻💇🏻💇🏻💇🏼😎😇

Thank you for this so much Im transferring schools and last time I went was in high school and that was seven years ago I have gone through a lot and kept putting it off but I have to do a mini state board test to keep my 800 hours and this has given me so much confidence thank you!
Paul Mitchell will teach you and let you practice on black people's hair types. However, In-depth training would be in outside classes. I'm black and I learned some things but if you want to walk out of school feeling like you can do black people's hair - I encourage you to request to do black ppl's hair while you're at school and they allow you to.

So the state board now does not do waxing, facial and a manicure?
Depends on your state. Google PSI your state name followed by cosmetology.
I am a barber and some of this will help me.
