He just can not compete,,, You can not keep ripping off peoples hard work and expect them to sit back while you do.. then cry like a little baby, when they say enough is enough. he is and always will be cine-lights dust lol..., ( not my words, sounds cool though )
      Its getting harder to find the time to produce these videos.., Here in the Uk ... yes summer is here.. yes its over 20`c lol..., today 37`c so its family time.. also having had 2 job changes, each a step up in the right direction means less time to have fun with my projects..so if anyone takes a little of the fun time i get with my projects away.. then do not expect me to be nice..
      But then You, Dj Rick, and everyone else that writes a nice comment, or builds my projects.. makes it all worth while... so thanks

      @@cine-lights Hello Mate, I found a small anomaly. I started noticing the lights fluctuating like a seesaw while the music was playing on my setup. I am currently looking to see if it is a short or something else. But when the bass hits it hits 2 beats peek on the left and then it peeks 2 beats on the right. And every song I play does the same thing. I will keep you posted if I find something electrical.

    Hi Cine-lights,
    The audio volume of the line output of my new receiver is too low for the VU Led towers although I set the sensitivity to 100% :-(
    Would it be possible to increase the sensitivity within the software? Or do you have a hardware solution for this problem? Looking only at the standby patterns was not what I had in mind.

    Cine-Lights, As I understand it, and following the instructions, Arduino mega should be flashed with this one - TFT_SCREEN_VERSION_2_FINAL.ino.mega.hex. What is the second firmware for - VERSION_2_FINAL.ino.with_bootloader.mega.hex?

    • @cine-lights
      @cine-lights  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Kolobov Igor. The tft_screen_version_2_final.ino.mega.hex is a direct copy of code without a bootloader. The bootloader is not needed in this instance. When i create the .hex files the bootloader version is automatically produced., so i just add both just incase someone strangely needs it. Now as i am aware in most cases most of the arduino`s are already installed with a bootloader , in some rare instances where the arduino maybe supplied in raw format, or has a damaged bootloader, then the second version would be needed.

      Hey Marc.. The sanding was painful... but having the thread those nuts along those 1 metre long threaded rods was my hate.. When the light hit it before (sunlight). The edges even though polished and clear, they still looked so rough. It looked as if the acrylic pieces were out of a line as some angles. Now with the frosted faces it looks dead straight. The colours look richer too.

    So what is the total material cost to build one of the single mono versions and also the duel stereo version? I know acrylic is expensive and all but still not really sure how much all of this would add up to. If it's within my means I'd sure love to build one of the versions, preferably the stereo.

    • @cine-lights
      @cine-lights  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Anthony.., The cost of the main controller - arduino mega and screen resistors etc. would cost about £20 - £25 total. thats all connectors etc. ( i would build the stereo version as it can be used for both) if you decided to build a stereo acrylic vu meter.. lets say each acrylic piece is about £4, Thats cut and supplied with 2 holes. so im guessing 50 leds a side. ( so thats about £400 ) Now yes outside the uk will be much cheaper. but then you have to add delivery costs. 50 pieces weighs a good amount. Each threaded rod, roughly £5 a piece. 450 x m8 nuts about £40. 900 x m8 washers about £30 The leds ws2812b led about £12... so for a stereo version you are looking at about £500 - £550

      Cine-Lights, about £500 - £550 it is very expensive. Translated into pounds, I for everything for everything, spent about the same amount on one tower: £ 80. From this: controller - arduino mega £ 11. Resistors, capacitors, connectors with wires around £ 4 total. Each laser cut plate with all the holes and cutouts cost me £ 0.76. Over 60 plates gave £ 46. Led Strip 2812b \ 60 diodes per meter at £ 4 per meter. And metal, fasteners, etc. cost about £ 4. In general, it turns out inexpensive. The power supply still added £ 8 to the total cost. Approximately the price of one tower, excluding work. :) But this is in Russia.

The screwing is a pain in the ass, so I made a tool with my 3D printer so that I could screw it together with a electic drill, that saved a lot of time (and pain in my fingers). I build a version with 65 leds. (the maximum plaques I could cut from a 600x900mm acrylic. Are you willing to include also a hex file for 65 leds. @@magicwoody Ok... here are your links.. 144 per channel and 90 leds per channel.. drive.google.com/open?id=1UwN3ky3FfyqUEQ9Y2MFTRU-EB3Qnm17t and drive.google.com/open?id=1J-DPFu7qz6r2o-KrCCJlzBXyAYHK5PDb as for fixing your input values.. we have balanced out the centre vu meters and normal vu meters the best we can. the touchscreen does have volume control, which in most cases i have tested works very well. if we set the settings any higher you will start to lose base volume.. in otherwords when there is no sound you want the vu meter off.. i would look into a way of increasing your input signal.
