Ok this was not the regular "demo for a pedal " You were looking for, this is a " musical creation, technical performance and passion to play lesson one!!!, just great!!
I purchased an ME-70 when they first came out. Love it.
The sounds you can get out of this thing are infinite. It takes time to learn all the functions, but the creative process with this pedal is great.
The various effect sections are set up like a tradtional effects chain... it's like getting a half dozen Boss pedals in one single package.
Constantly exploring new horizons with this unit.
This guys has his settings dialed in perfectly and knows exactly where he's going. Very tasty playing - loved it. Now we need a demo for us bar-playing mortals.
A guy like this hidden in the back of some shop is a crime to humanity,we are deprived of such talent!
Excellent demo and guitar work. Nice and tasty with lots of expression. The fast licks were not over done.. They were placed in the proper spots. Lots of variety in playing with the effects and tones. I was impressed. Thanks. I enjoyed it
Ey, I have a boss ME70 two weeks ago and is fantastic and simply. Fantastic video demo Thumbs up to you!!
Awesome effects processor, sweet sounds. And badass soloing!
Thanks Alex I am sold! With practice my music will take on another dimension.
I just bought this unit after watching this video. Thanks for the info and music!
This man could make anything sound Great! Fantastic GREAT GUITARIST!!!*******
dude you just became one of my fav guitarists
I'm in love! Just what I was looking for! Thanks!
Great video, good playing and very informitive
ALEX MAKES EVERY PEDAL AWESOME! HE IS AWESOME!
love ur melody Alex
this guy is brilliant, sounds like a great pedal too. i've got the ME-50 but i'd love this bad boy.
It's super easy to use!=D It's amazing how many functions that little thing has! Gotta love it
that was just spontaneoulsy great!!!
FANTASTIC PLAYING..............
@NevadaMusicUK Thanks for the video!
My gosh I wish I could play like that man. He's freakin great.
the tone that he gets at 4:47 is perfect for a sweeping or tapping solo. i want that tone.
Thank you! all I needed to know about the this which I just bought!
Great Demo Thanks !
This guy is ripping it!!!! great video!
killer video... i can't even close play this well but also have this pedal and have no clue how to use it as well as this dude. Good video
great! just great! im totally gettin the me70, i have the me 50 and its a great start off pedal but i want to upgrade!!!
Great video! Are all the effect you are using standard, or did you modify any of them. Also, I have this model, what is the easiest way to equalize all the different effects as far as volume goes? Thanks!
Lol, yeah this is great playing. I have this Boss pedal and this excellent video is one of the factors that helped me in my decision when shopping. Thanks for the reply!
Let me just say the YOU SIR ! ........ARE A DAMN FINE MUSICIAN !
I love what I heard so much I am going to get me a boss me 70 ....... and I don't even play guitar!
I am going to save up my money and buy one. But it seems so complicated. Mind you this will be my first foot pedal ever. It has everything you need, +more. I love the live looping.
Been searching for a useful video to show me this model as I'm keen to find something which will give me the loop station capacity for solo, acoustic performances (was thinking about getting the Boss RC-30) but this looks like it would also be appropriate for band, electric performances given it does what the RC-30 already does and much more (and is cheaper!) Really useful video and lovely playing. Which would you recommend for my needs- RC-30 or ME-70?
Yeach I would buying one of this thing...thank's for your message..
awesome!!!! Alex...
Alex's playing at 5:20 is just friggin tasty. I love that kind of stuff. Also enjoyed the harmoniser playing too. I'm seriously considering getting this pedal.
@samvanderveen which one? If it's the one above the delay section: its supposed to do that as long as its set to phrase loop. If its not that one there might be a problem with the power supply, do you run it on batteries or AC adaptor?
Thanks. I really do appreciate your help. I thought the gt10 would contain the exact sounds from the me 70 and more. Im still deciding and I will let you know of my purchase. What guitar and amp r u using? Well take care. By the way have you tried the digitech rp series?
THIS MADE MY DAY !
just bought this pedal woooooooooo Great vid and i cant wait for some looper style fun:)
Excellent...........most excellent
@LouisVCN Thanks ! I got one of these last week. Its pretty sweet. I also have a pod hd 500 but unfortunately, its a bit of a turn off because of the way it works. I hardly touch it. Ive used the me 70 several times already. Im thinking to get a loop station rc 30 so I Can save stuff to my computer easier.
becaus of this video I have baught the boss me-70 and its great I play to much because of that thing awesome rock on everybodey
hes soo good at playing. great skills
@Simmen12 you can by pressing the first two pedal together whilst in memory mode, all the lights should come on on the pedals. use the first two pedals to go up or down the banks and use either pedal 3 or 4 to select the bank. hope u understand if not message me back
@mauriceh01 did you stomp down hard on the expression pedal to turn it on like you're supposed too, cause' if not, then there's your problem!!
i've not got the pedal yet but i've used it before and it worked fine with me...
nice playing dude!!
@jbudey Just lean forward on the pedal as the wah is turned on by pushing forward on the pedal. turn it off and back to volume bydoing the same. its just a fairly hard push forward so you don't turn it on and off by accident.....back to the spuds now...
I have this pedal and I would definitely recommend it! :D
Great demo & Explanation . Man you can play. Any chance we could get a set of those hands? . lol.
Hey Alex/NevadaMusic. Me a fan of your guitar playing and a new learner. What piece of music was that you so amazingly played?
I have ME50. But this one really IS cool!
They threw the useless parts of the ME50, and replaced them with really great things.
I love it...
And this guy plays really amazing :-)
I will get one of these for sure...
yes it does. it's in the manual, pg e8
very very nice job.
I have this pedal, yes it does have unlimited overdubs. The loop is 30 seconds I believe. Great pedal, I use it for everything
I want on of these but i heard when you switch over effects theres a pause? So if i wanted to do a clean intro, then blare into distortion, then clean, then distortion with flanger or something. Would it be accessible by doing it with your foot? Cuz i domt wanna be touching the pedal during the song.
@boutabeastar420 I would agree with that. I would suppose that quality would differ but only subtley. You would still be spending a decent amount of money on the 25 and I bet it would still give you a good sound, probably not as good as the 70 in comparison, but it still has a pretty good sound.
To NevadamusicUK; please tell Alex from me that he's sold the pedal to me. I think his demo is really informative whilst keeping things simple to understand. Also I think he's a really good guitar player in his own right, and I look forward to hearing more from him. :)
So, I've been playing guitar for years and am just now looking into purchasing an effects board. Can you run these things directly through a system? If so, how do they sound?
Thanks.
do you think boss you could do a demo featuring and showing all the distortion models on the me-70 beacuse id love to hear them and get one, 10 seperate distortions! amazing!
Thanks, I actually have enough to go for a gt 10 if that is a good investment. I play live a lot but I use a fender frontman amp which has only an excellent clean sound. So Id like lot of stompboxes to mess with :P I heard boss' preamps sound great? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
I have no way of trying out anything so I have to order online. (Also considering the vox tonelab)
Thanks again for your help
was that whole looping part part of the pedal or did you have a loop station off camera? cause i can loop up to like 2 seconds with a me50 but i think you said the 70 can do up to 36 seconds or something.
@NevadaMusicUK is owning! :)
Great video, incredible player.
was it a waste of time getting this instead of individual stomp boxes for my mesa boogie 3 channel dual rectifier? I didn't want to sacrifice the sound of such an expensive amp, but i guess i should be running it on clean with this pedal board anyways right?
@alexdaman8 when you're playin out of a regular setting the pedal works as another volume switch so you can swell it with the pedal
Thanks for that. That first song you did kinda reminded me of something from Sonic Adventure
this guy is a really awesome guitarist.
@boutabeastar420 Now that's a whole new field! I don't know if the tones are the same because I've never heard it. All I know are the controls, but you would think that the tones are the same since they are based on the Boss tones. Any Boss product you get, whether it be the 25 or 70, are going to have their tones based on their pedals. Do you get what I'm saying?
This guy is the best!
since i see you guys have allot of boss and roland products, would this pedal sound good through a roland cube 30x? I actually want it for direct recording but if it can make my amp sound better it just makes it that much better.
Thanks!
Cool stuff dude! What is the thing you play at 4:30 to 5:50? Sounds nice!
@evlblue WHat are the differences? Does the zoom have a looper and harmonizer? Thks
I got my me 70 and its incredible
i have the BOSS ME-25 and i always get some parasite noises like the volume is too high and u hear noise but it isnt. Does the BOSS ME-70 fix this and does it give better sound or does it only have more choices?
Alex is such a beautiful person
i am currently using a beginner guitar and amp do you think it betr for me to buy a new amp like a roland cube 80x or this effects pedal, which one first
Your great!!
very enjoyable music
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME?!
I am planning on buying this but I really need to know how this sounds live. I don't like the "electronic /processed" kind of sound. Does it sound as if they were really separate pedals? For the owners of the Boss ME-70, how does it sound to you? thanks.
@boutabeastar420 I'd say it has done pretty well for me. I would use it through my guitar recording program and I use it for church. I always use the MOD effects on it and sometimes the distortion too. Some of the tones are pretty cool, sometimes you have to tweak them a little to get a good tone. I like the fact that they have a patch recorder thing so I don't have to remember the minute little details on all the tones that I want to have. I would definitely recommend this product. I like!
hey i have a quick question..
ive had this thing for about 8 months now and whenever i hook it up to my amp it sounds REALLY bad. i have a cheap amp, cheap cables, and an ok guitar. i was just wondering if to make it sound better will i need to buy a better amp? better cord? or do i need a SUPER guitar like this guys. thx
Personally the ME70 as it has more capabilities and footswitches for live but the VOX ST sounds very good and has USB interface. Depends on your requirements..
This guy is great. If I were his boss I would give him a huge promotion about this video :)
good review!;) im gettin it!
Buy this pedal! It's amazing... I LOVE IT!
@bonz0416 You can always expect quality and durability from boss. But it's all up to what sounds you'd rather have.
Does the effect pedal have a looper built in or is that what the separate pedal is doing?
nice hip thrusts.... is there a delay effect on those too?
wich is better?? me 50, me 70, the boss gt6, or the zoom g7??
i have a jackson dk2 whick rocks!! a marshall mg15(very good for practice)
i like to play metallica, van halen, jimi hendrix, 80 metal, 70 hard rock, etc. i'm looking for great distortions(personally im a fan of amp distortions) good efects an a decent wah, but im also looking for a valve sound. i want a very defined sound but heavy, like van halen.
could you help me to choise??
@sagideon Yup. it has a wammy pedal that goes up and down ;) pretty sweet!
vraiment bien ce ME70
@Laurecious123 Yes. Octave effect. I'm sure he's doing -2 octaves though.
please can u give me a tab or a video tutorial of how to that song you do about at 5mins in, i think its different to the other video i have seen but im not sure(part 3 of Bosschannel) i really wanna learn it cuz its the best piece of music i have heard in a long time!! unless its an actual song.
thanks man, i bought the ME-70 today in morning and well untill now its really cool but when i put the preamp and the dist it sonds kinda crapp
was this direct recorded into the computer? sound quality is ridiculously amazing.
@sunnyjim98 erms ok. do u noe how much it costs? i havent really checked it out yet
I do, at least 30 mins to an hour everyday. But this takes many years to get. I've been playing lead and improv and writing my own songs for only about two years now.
Amazing
i dont tihnk so but i could be wrong if not do what i do, get a double ended 3mm cable (a cable thats double ended with a jack the same size as a headphones jack. then buy a 3mm double adapter its like a headphones jack with 2 ports on the back for 2 head phones jacks, then you know those big adapters for headphones? the big headphons jacks get one of them put the jack in your Amp then the 3mm double adapter in that then the double ended cable in one of those slots
Is using this tuner exactly like using the Boss tu-3?
Or is this tuner less sophisticated?
