My word for 2024 is me. I have neglected me for 54 years and that’s over. I cook and clean and clean and cook for everybody else. Sometimes I don’t even eat myself but everyone else does. I’ll make sure everybody else gets to the doctors and yet I haven’t had my OB/GYN exam in over two years. Those are the things that will be corrected in 2024. I will be putting me first. I’m off to a pretty decent start. I must be honest It feels strange. But I’m gonna break through that wall until it becomes the norm in my life. Wishing everyone out there. Great success with their 2024 goals.❤🎉
I think the best tip for middle motherhood I received from a friend is when my daughter is upset asking if she wants advice or to vent. Sometimes she wants advice, but most of the time she simply wanted to vent and feel heard.
I agree, authenticity wins the race😊. No need for click-bait titles, unnecessary drama, or jumping on bandwagons. From the viewer's perspective...it gets old and tiring. Those that have rocked with you will continue to do that because we appreciate your authenticity and your commitment to making quality content. Let's keep God in everything we do😊 Also, love your hair😍 My focus/word for 2024 is "simplify". This includes all aspects of my life..work,home, and in relationships. Sometimes I think we make things too complicated because we're dodging reality. This year, it's my goal to be more mindful about that.
I am right there with you. It feels like I went from "knowing everything" to "knowing nothing" (including an eyeroll from my 7th grader) overnight. I struggle with not wanting to alienate her, but also raising a respectful daughter that people want to be around. It's rough!
I have never done a word of the year but after watching this, I decided my word is DISCOVERY! I need to figure out who I am going to be in the last half of my life!
I miss videos of the Sunday reset. And I know that your life has changed as the girls got older but would like to see more of that. I am loving the talks because us moms need that. We just need to also know that we're feeling the same thing. Perhaps, if you can do this monthly of what you enjoyed and what you still need to do would help us connect more. Your weekly dial and Sunday reset, I felt more connected.
I love your channel because you are a woman who wants to be the best person she can be. The best Wife, Mom, Daughter, and friend. To me, your channel is your journey to becoming that. I absolutely love it because that's my goal in life. You are real and there is no shame here just motivation and you wanting the same for everyone else here. As for shop with me, I don't watch them anymore. I'm on a journey to take better control of our money. Having self-control and not always wanting something else all the time. Being content with what we have. I feel like we are being sold something everywhere you look on Instagram and I'm over it. Just one person's thoughts on it.
My word is Positivity. A positive mindset is the breeding ground for creativity, expansive and visionary, thinking, empathy, cooperation and connection.
Jia, I have been watching you for at least 8 years now and I just wanted to tell you that I have really loved the last two videos that you have shared. I understand what you were saying about the disconnect at times, but these videos have brought me right back to your old content that I loved so much-just you being you and feeling like getting together with a girlfriend 💛. I also want to applaud you for sharing your true feelings and being honest about your insecurities. It is so refreshing in a world that is striving for perfection that is just not attainable. When you were talking about the comparison between your channel and other larger channels or more views, I just wanted to encourage you because I remember when you were a relatively small TH-cam channel and look at you now, girl!! My favorite videos of yours were always the Sunday Set Ups and your heart to hearts. And of course I love a good decluttering any day! More than anything, you have always just been relatable doing your everyday tasks right along with the rest of us and making me smile and laugh in the process! Looking forward to more of your videos in 2024!
I am a mother of a 12 year old girl going on 13yrs and it is HARD! Going to middle school was a difficult transition and oh boy the moodiness. I really enjoy your channel I find you so motivational. Thank you for everything you do.
I love how real you keep your videos, Jia, when soooo many You tubers seem to disappear into their own hype! My word for this year is Self-help, putting myself out of my comfort zone by putting my health and wellbeing first, it's a toughie! We got this!
Yay for you, Gia, for your authenticity, care and compassion. That’s why I love ❤your content-regardless of what it is! I think we, your steadfast viewers, are here for you and enjoy listening to and/or watching whatever you feel like sharing❤ PS Sharing your faith and abundance will truly bless us in 2024🎉🎉 My word for the year is ABIDING JOY😇
I haven’t been watching any of your videos and I felt the disconnect as well. I was just about to unsubscribe because I thought maybe people grow apart, but something told me to watch this video. I appreciate you taking the accountability regarding the disconnect. So l I’ll hang out for a few and see what’s next maybe we can reconnect again. 🤷🏾♀️ Here’s to another year hopefully🥂
My word for 2024 is AUTHENTIC or AUTHENTICITY. I want to make sure I show up as my true self in every situation - professionally, personally, mothering, etc. I want to make sure I'm not wearing a mask and that I don't dim my light to let others feel like they can shine. We can all shine together!!!
I love your videos and how you show the reality behind motherhood. Balancing cooking, cleaning and taking care of you at the end of the day. I look forward to your content!
I love how you reviewed what worked and didn’t work. I just love these kinds of videos and to hear what accomplishments you made and what your goals are for the new year. My word of the year shall be “rediscover”. I want to rediscover myself this year.
My new word for 2024 is adventurous I want to try news things and adventures with my family looking forward to traveling this summer. The changes I made in 2024 were I left a position at a early childhood program through a local school system. This job became toxic with the new administrators they hired being rude and condescending she thought she was superior . I can not work in a environment like that and that's when I left and went to work for a daycare that teaches children ages infant - preschool. Once I walk in the door everything going on in my life gets left at door and the same when I leave for day.
I felt so seen when you spoke about middle motherhood. But at least your girls have activities that they are sticking to. Right now my daughter has started a lot of things but she can't seem to stick to any. I keep telling myself that she will find her thing eventually but its been a minute. She has decided to join track next, I will see how that goes.
Love your channel because you show the real life stuff , the good and bad. As a mom of 7 girls , a lot of patience and also encouragement to be themselves ,which you are doing already ❤
Actuality 2022 into 2023 was the time of recovery. I was rear-ended in a car accident and it has not been the same since. It's coming to an end February 2024 and I am looking forward to getting my Life back 😄 I am sorry Jia it's just that so much has been going on in my life and I feel that I am coming through it. It's so wonderful to listen to you and I like this content as well because it makes me think. 🙏🙏 Thanks so much for sharing. God bless
I love you Gia!!! You and Jen Chapin are my favorite!!! You are both just normal moms!!! My word of the year is “gratitude” my daughter who has 3 kids and her first was born when she was 18 will be an RN in may !! I am so blessed not only to have an amazing son and daughter I’m proud of but I am a grandma of four amazing grandkids!!! Thanks for all you do and your wonderful content!! Keep it going!!
Jia, I like your conversations. You are down to earth and I like that about you ♥ You have a Wonderful and beautiful family, a hugh blessing❤❤❤ We are thankful for you and your Wonderful family ❤❤❤ May God uplift you for your wonderful vlogs and nice content as well 😊 Joan 😊
I love your positivity! Keep doing you! I have one middle schooler, and one upper elementary… Both boys! The 12-year-old seems to be less with the backtalk, smarty pants behavior. Somewhere around nine years old to about 11, that’s all he did. Now my youngest is nine, and guess he’s doing! 😖😭
I hope that you keep sharing your health journey. I look forward to those videos. I need to go through my garage and declutter. We have been married for over 30 years and we have never gone through all our boxes. Every time we moved we just moved the boxes.
I have been watching your channel for years. I loved the debt free free Friday and Sunday setups the most. I also enjoy the " what I eat" and health checkins. To be honest I have not watched lately because most of the content has been shop with me's. It seems like all of my favorite TH-camr's have switched to this type of content. I love you energy and authenticity. Please do more videos like this one. I have 4 children btw 22 and 20 yo sons, 13 and 9 yo daughters.
You're doing fine!!! I'm glad I found you when I did, last year right when you started the declutter with the professional phase. My word for 2024 is Consistency.... making sure I practice more Consistency on the things I need to do in order to have the results I want from my actions put forth. I hope that makes sense.
I love Cooking City. When I sit in my chair at night to relax, I play that game. Maybe 1/2 hour a day. I dont understand the whole "middle mom" thing. I guess from the time I became a mom I knew that there were different struggles with different ages and it was what it was. We dealt with each new age shift as it came. We have 7 so we had several in a certain season at any given time and we just adjusted. I loved every single new season of their lives. Not saying that it wasnt tough or overwhelming at times, but it was ALWAYS such a joy and I would do it all over again if I could
I found you when you did your decluttering- I have never watched shop with me videos but I do watch all you post. I really enjoy listening to you and your positivity ❤! I have 3 boys 2-7 but still feel all us moms have a lot in common! Thank you for your content!
Thats what this is called?! It's nice to know it's a phase 😅 my trick ? Prayer and supplication daily. Imma a teacher in a school w both my girls. The fun never ends
Heyyy we definitely our connected especially when you dropped your declutter videos and you talked at the end and spoke how you was raised with exemplary leadership with women and how they were able to manage it all and you said that’s not me and I welcome help and support and being teachable thank you for that video sometimes when I get overwhelmed I go back to that video Also tips for video suggestions 1.updates about mentally not over buying and the work your doing not to over buy 2.talks about what you want your style to be now that you’re losing weight but gaining new outlooks on your body 3. Book club you have a lot of good reads My word is resilience determination and I want to have a clear understanding of what I want Not what I hear
Pick your battles!!! Not every thing it s a pick deal...safety is.!!! My daughter and i read aloud to each other every night...big books, like Harry Potter....right before bed...she was driving when we stopped. Helped calm her down for sleep and led into conversations. Also, car talks are great, particularly if you can have one child at a time. Its tough....but age 15 is the worst!!! She is grown and we are still close. Good luck!!!
Gia, your great achievement of closing all those rings on your watch, is what i aspire to do!! It’s hard!! Good job🥰 decluttering my house as well. I started a few months ago I’m getting there.😎 thank you for sharing.. you are one of my motivators!! My word for 2024 is strength ( I can do all things thru the Lord who strengthens me✝️🙏💕
Happy New Year. 2023 was not a good year for my family and I. So my word of the year is hope and I’m thankful for the hope God gives us in his word. I pray God shine his face on your word of the year Jia and you continue to walk in the purpose of God’s will despite the disagreement of the social media algorithms.
Jia, first, I don’t know you lived in GA! Where have I been?!? I watch you faithfully and I love all your content! I love these talks most! I love the decluttering and shopping but I feel more connected to you with these!
Hey Gia! I truly enjoyed this video. I find myself as well comparing IG and TH-cam. I just started a channel. It's doing ok; I just struggle with content and editing. My word for 2024 is consistency and learning new things.
Hi Gia...Happy New Year...have loved your channel for many years- and I love your content- I am 41 too :) with 2 almost out of HS daughters and find myself thinking of leaving my job after 13 years and feel like I'm an offfice fossil lol and I'm so scared about venturing out again- all this to say- I love hearing about your career advice and your finance advice and I would love to hear about other creators on YT or TT or IG that inspire you career wise or financially- anyone that you feel shares your same views - sorry for the long winded comment- 😮 I also follow your other channel which I love ❤️
Hey girl, I lost touch with you for all of 2023. I don’t know but I wasn’t seeing your video pop up and I couldn’t remember the channel name. Thank goodness this video pop up. I am still subscribed and will reconnect with you.
I have boys, 11 going on 12 in October, and 8 going on 9 in May and boy they are a rollercoaster everyday, they share a room, we only live in a 2 bedroom house so unable to seperate them, and cant afford to move and it's a lot everyday

I feel like you should talk more about this parenting stage. Your content about you being a working mom is what drew me to your channel.

Marshmallow Era is my theme for 2024
I love the term middle mom.
I have boys, 11 going on 12 in October, and 8 going on 9 in May and boy they are a rollercoaster everyday, they share a room, we only live in a 2 bedroom house so unable to seperate them, and cant afford to move and it's a lot everyday

Love your positivity ❤
I love your channel I can relate to you...a woman in her 40s a wife a mother... Make the content you enjoy
Hey I just love listening to you! I also live in Ga. Where in Ga. Do you live?
Healing 2024.
Gratitude
I have 5 girls all in each tough stage of life and I’m struggling
I have 2 kids in the middle motherhood ages (a boy and a girl) plus a teenager. And 3 toddlers.
It is a rough game out here. 🤣🤣
Respectfully, I think a lot of other content creators may get more views, especially on Costco hauls because they interact with the subscribers down in the comments. I noticed you may have hundreds of comments and you will only respond back to maybe one or two. Subscribers really want to interact with their favorite TH-camrs. So that’s just my suggestion and or my two cents as to how you possibly could get more views.🥰
🗣️Middle motherhood! I’m praying for you girl moms for sure tho. Boy mom here and I’m lucky cuz my boy’s still pretty sweet..I still gotta watch how I embarrass him in public tho 😂
My girls are 12 & 13. It’s a mess honey. Have they started their cycles? I keep them separated when they are “fussy”.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😘
Just be true to yourself, you’ll get more followers, I followed a lot of people, but dismissed a lot of them because it seemed like all they did was try to influence us to buy stuff…. So I stopped following them
No disclaimer needed..u better brag on your husband Mrs. Ma’am! ☺️🫶🏾🤎
