I bought this bike, tracer 7 2023, two weeks ago and did nearly 2000 km's on it since. I new for sure that I would replace the stock exhaust with an akra, but now I like the stock sound very much. Suspension on the 2023 model is super, as are the front brakes! Super upgrade from Yamaha. I do not mis the horsepower and comfort of my previous FJR1300as at all. Tracer7 is superfun.
This engine is also very reliable - already made 60k km on mine, and there is nothing to do beside changing oil and routine maintenance. It still has the factory clutch. Last year I replaced the shock absorber with an Ohlins dedicated one. I was a little bit concerned that it will make the bike more sporty and less comfortable, but it was quite opposite! The bike gained so much stability on the fast and long corners and the damping does the job on the not so great pavement like the one from your video. For this season I bought front fork cartridges (also Ohlins) and cannot wait to test them! I do not regret any single cent spent on the suspension, this bike has so much potential and only one major flaw (very cheap springs) that could be easily eliminated. Great lightweight tourer, commuter and fun bike!
Yes indeed!! So far I rode two different MT-07s with Öhlins installed. It turns the bike into an almost perfect machine! Money well spent indeed! Nice!!
First of all, congrats on your bike. Just want to say that you haven't crossed any line by passing the 60k mark, that's nothing. 😅 There are Honda's NC700/750, CB500X/F (etc) with way more miles than that without opening the engine for repair. Some of them have 350/400.000km without any problems and doing the 12k km oil and filter change intervals. 👍

Do you have any update about the forks mate? I am stuck between making the same changes and changing the bike. I love T7 how agile, raw and fast yet suspension and lack of cruise control are its weakest point. Yet I can get by with a throttle lack If suspension makes it solid and stable.
I love, how this engine sounds and feels always faster than it is. And really think that in real life it's more important to havee power you can really use. Having an extremely strong bike, which you drive permanently illegal or where you only use 20% of its potential doesn't make any sense to me....
What I love most about this video is that you ride quick and fast when you can, but you respect the road when there's a blind corner or something. You approach it slower and keep an outside line to prevent riding into oncoming traffic. I love this style of riding a hundred times more than the umpteenth moron that knees down every corner because MotoGP!! and almost kills somebody in the process. Also you respect the villages and the locals, ensuring that future riders may still enjoy this beautiful ride and not have the local government close it off because loud pipes and high speeds annoy the villagers too much. Had this for 200km when my Tenere had a service. It was nice to feel the even more improved Eu5 version of the engine. It felt quite a bit more more responsive. Also, the suspension was much better than the original suspensions of my MT07 RM17 that I had before. Actually I couldnt fine any negative points anymore for a bike of this kind and price range besides the wind protection, that hit me right in the middle of my helmet xD
Is that with or without a touring screen? I got a 2022 GT and haven't had much issues with wind protection. Then again I haven't been out on the motorways too much yet
I have the puig touring screen and 150 km/h is no problem on long motorway trips. makes the bike much more suited for long distance touring and looks a lot better then the weird yamaha touring screen. I also have the shad sh58x topcase. It can hold two large helmets when I park the bike and expand the topcase. Then it doesn't look nice, but when driving I make the box small again. It is more usefull then the standard small side cases, were you can not fit even a small helmet.
It should have had an aftermarket exhaust… the beautiful ride visually will go to another level with the melody of that CP2 700 when it sings … all in all its an awesome video!

Then you have the V-Strom and NC, both still made and assembled in Japan, and those we all know their worth, the NC is a tank, a miles/kms eater, it may not have the same amount of hp and "fun factor" as theTracer7 but is very practical, reliable and durable.
The NC also has a 270º parallel twin like the Tracer7 and the V-Strom has something others Japanese manufacturers should make, a V2 engine in a Trail bike.
You have quality over HP (Versys 650), the Triumph (I don't know), an overall better bike with a different/better engine (depends on your point of view) and more confortable (V-Strom 650) and the last but not least, reliability, durability and practicality over performance (NC750X), all of them against the Tracer 7 made with basic and poor-quality materials, soft suspention and brakes that only gives you a little, the only thing "cool" on that bike is the engine.
There are better japanese bikes on the market for sure, all in this price range.🤔
Now, you choose. 👍
The perfect bike that is not sold in the US. I hate Yamaha. Their US headquarters are just down the street too.
how bout a little visit? :D

Mate you aren't missing much with the Tracer 700. I had a new one (2021 model) for a day. Controls and finish felt/looked cheap, the suspension was wallowy and the chassis lethargic. Felt oddly cramped, as well...
I've ridden all manner of BMWs and even used ones will be leagues ahead in terms of overall quality and enjoyment. The R1200 platform is a great all-rounder.
Good luck in your bike search!
Do u use the gps to see also the following coners to maintain your speed.. is it helpful?
Not at all. I just rely on my experience to read my surroundings correctly. And around blind corners, as you can see, there's no other safe way than just going very slowly
Tracer700 plz jpn😭
best of luck!
If only they put a simple dash like that on the tracer 900 instead of the fugly thing its got!
Ok
Turned off due to those stupid beeps.
STOP accelerating in neutral, please. It’s useless and very annoying for the viewer. I like your clips and I hope I’ll see them in the future. Thanks!
I don't even know where I accelerated in neutral
