    Here's a fact: Before his death on Feburary 9th 1989, Osamu Tezuka's last words were: "I'm begging you, let me work!".
    He Said that to a Nurse who had tried to take away his drawing equipment.

    Haha who has not grown up with this man's work? Princess Knight, and "Gecko! Gecko! Gecko!" and "My son, Plastic" LOL!!! There are three distinct series of Astro-boy, the black and white original one, the 1980s or so one, and then a later 90s or early 2000s one. All are well worth viewing. I honestly don't know which one I like most. They're all that great.
    Osamu himself was an excellent person. Originally trained as a doctor, but a manga-fiend all through, he was an artistic fountainhead only paralleled by types like Picasso. He basically had Empathy as his guiding force, and he loved even lowly insects so much he adopted a spelling of his own name that incorporated the symbols for "Insect".

      Let us not forget his 1984 hit, "Bagi, the Monster of Mighty Nature". That film deserves a modern-day AU.

    I like Osamu and his company more than Disney. I liked how he enjoyed the Disney movies and they were able to make him a lot better than that company. His art is very fun too. My favorite Tezuka movies are Fumoon, Metropolis, Bagi, and My Son-Goku.

    • @Larindarr

      He wrote 800+ mangas that have never been published aside from the other hundreds spanning multiple genres and even styles. He is the godfather of manga per se.

    the 2019 dororo

    • @Larindarr
      @Larindarr 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I think he would be pleased. Especially with the detail. To write dororo he even tried to make them look more serious. I honestly like the 2019 art style better it is more appropriate for the dark nature of the content. Dororo is so well written that I would also not have minded if it had been a novel because the material is novel worthy.

    The Disney corporation owes them millions for ripping off "Kimba the White Lion" with its version - "The Lion King".

      @@angelbabyxoxoxo debunked by what? The whole japan got angry when Lion King got aired like immediately, there are so many evidences from different sources. One of the theme of Billy Bat (Naoki Urasawa's best work) is literally called "fuck disney". The oscar award invited many anime directors to be the judge and no one give a fuck. Like unless you are blind, that shit is so obvious
