- Documentary about Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, a Russian scholar of ancient wisdom and author who co-founded the Theosophical Society in 1875. She gained an international following as the leading theoretician of Theosophy, the esoteric movement that the Theosophical Society promotes.
"The Secret Doctrine" is the synthesis of Science, Religion, and Philosophy. An esoteric book originally published in two volumes in 1888 written by Blavatsky. The first volume she named Cosmogenesis, the second Anthropogenesis. It was an influential example of the revival of interest in esoteric and occult ideas in the modern age, in particular, because of its reconcile of Ancient Eastern wisdom(Buddhism and Hinduism) and Kabbalah with modern science.
The mission of the Theosophical Society from the beginning of its inception was to serve humanity by cultivating an ever-deepening understanding and realization of the Ageless Wisdom, spiritual self-transformation, and the unity of all life.
From their website. The mission:
1. To form a nucleus of the Universal Brotherhood of Humanity without distinction
of race, creed, sex, caste, or color.
2. To encourage the comparative study of religion, philosophy, and science.
3. To investigate the unexplained laws of nature and the powers latent in humanity.

Her words about modern Christianity struck a cord with me.I abandoned spiritually many years ago because I discovered for myself much of what she said about it Now in my later years I regret going over the the materials ts side, but am gradually coming back. I hope all the lost years will not have been wasted before I once more transition.

Truth, being limitless, unconditioned, unapproachable by any path whatsoever, cannot be organized, nor should any organization be formed to lead or coerce people along a particular path.” Jiddu Krishnamurti
Yet Krishnamurti led people onto a Spiritual path via his teachings anyway. So much for "his truth" being pathless.
@@g.g.d6594 I know what you mean and on that level I agree.
I would not call it “via his teachings” rather the effect of insecurity within people attaching themselves to authorities. We see similar behavior today towards Media, Science, Politics,.. etc. So our insecurity, sorrow, etc. need to be faced instead of running away or rationalizing them. Running away leaves them intact and strengthens our attachment to authorities who “help”. Instead the facing may lead to learning, seeing the falseness of these and therefore dissolving.
"Straight is the way, and narrow is the gate." Sounds like a path to me.
I totally accept the fact that JK was a great thinker and world philosopher and guide who has brought peace and solace to many troubled minds!!! But then he is too theoratical. For ordinary folks who have had little or no formal education, his methods won't work!!! Such people need to fall back on some oorganised and widely accepted religion or faith!! Nowadays it has become fashionable to say !!! I am spiritual but not religious!!! Nothing can be more hypocritical and bullshitty than that!!!
I think, if i may in regards to Krishnamurti, point towards the many dialoges in which the attempt was to negate methods all together, and would often lead towards what he had called choiceless awareness, or meditation. Not a system of it, but a continuos act of observing oneself and the world, including the part of us which chooses. @@ArunachalaVallalPerumaan
Secrets or not, the need for recognition and disciples is inversely proportional to one's own self worth. The real secret is "knowing thy Self", having no need to be known by all others. Know your Self before others do!
Damn right sir.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I completely agree that self-awareness and understanding oneself are incredibly important. Madame Blavatsky's journey was definitely about seeking deeper truths and wisdom. The quest for recognition can sometimes overshadow that inner journey, but ultimately, it's our own self-knowledge that truly matters. Your perspective adds a valuable layer to the discussion-thanks for contributing!
Many of the people who have introduced important teaching to mankind have had many faults in their nature, in fact I would argue it is a necessity for their to be opposing factors in the personality of important teachers. Having opposing factors in your personality leads to a need to understand the universe and yourself, that someone of a more settled disposition will not feel. This is born out again and again when one looks at the great teachers of the world who seem to all have opposing factors in their personality.

The friction and contrast recognized in self compared to others compatible to the times and culture, do cause a need for clarity, and discernment is that ability to see those differences and what is functional and which is not.
So being strong in metacognition, and awareness, however the ego identity is impacted, are beneficial traits to expand on the more obscure concepts and develop new thought material.
It is worth considering that individuals who have introduced important teachings to mankind, including figures like Madame Blavatsky, possess a complexity that allows them to explore divergent aspects of their being. These contrasting characteristics can fuel a search for knowledge, truth, and a deeper understanding of the world.
That being said, it is essential to approach this perspective with an open mind and recognize that there is no universally applicable formula for becoming an important teacher or discovering profound wisdom. The qualities and characteristics that contribute to enlightenment and meaningful teachings are multifaceted and can differ greatly from person to person.

@@weazie2daEZYes, to some extent, one of the goals of Gnostics indeed is to break free from the cycle of reincarnation. Gnostics seek to acquire knowledge or gnosis, to help them awaken to their spiritual nature and escape the cycle of birth and death. Blavatsky incorporated Gnostic concepts into her teachings, such as the idea of hidden knowledge or secret wisdom accessible to a select few, the notion of a divine spark within each individual, and the belief in a transcendent spiritual realm beyond the physical world. However, it is important to note that her teachings were not purely Gnostic and encompassed a wide range of esoteric and mystical ideas from different religious and philosophical sources.

Theosophy and Anthroposophy
Theosophy, invented by a Russo-German aristocrat named Helena Blavatsky, was the most influential occult doctrine of the late nineteenth century. Inspired by her travels in India and Tibet, Blavatsky founded the first Theosophical Society in New York City in 1875. After more than a decade building up the movement, including sponsoring chapters in Germany and Austria, Blavatsky published her magnum opus, The Secret Doctrine (1888). An eclectic two- volume work, The Secret Doctrine drew liberally on Darwinism, Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism, and Egyptian religion. It also plagiarized Edward Bulwer- Lytton's British fantasy novel, The Coming Race (1871), which depicted a subterranean master race that could manipulate a magical power source called the Vril.
According to Blavatsky's occult theory of human evolution (anthropogenesis), there were seven 'root races. Beginning as a seed of cosmic energy, humanity had moved through different stages of evolution - including the Hyperborean, Lemurean, and Atlantean races - before reaching its current stage of mental and physical development. Due to different branches of humanity retaining different traces of these original root races, modern humanity differed in its biological and spiritual faculties. The Aryan peoples enjoyed pride of place - except they had lost the putative facility for 'magic' still enjoyed by 'oriental peoplesThe invisible leaders or 'Mahatmas' of the theosophic movement, with whom Blavatsky communicated telepathically, were called the 'Great White Brotherhood.
Theosophy did not espouse a complete rejection of the Enlightenment or 'flight from reason, as some have argued. Typical of much fin-de-siècle occultism, it constituted a genuine attempt to combine natural science and supernaturalism, rationalism and mysticism, in a quintessentially 'modern' answer to the spiritual dilemmas of the industrial age.
Theosophy advocated a progressive, cosmopolitan belief in forming 'the nucleus of a Universal Brotherhood of Humanity without distinction of race, creed, sex, caste, or color: The theosophist movement in Germany sparked an interest in astrology, Gnosticism, and the Jewish Kabbala as well as Christian mysticism and Indian and Tibetan wisdom. Theosophists across Europe and North America were also committed to Indian independence, animal rights, vegetari anism, and sexual liberation - ideas not necessarily associated with conserva- tive nationalism.
Still, the liberal and cosmopolitan aspects of theosophic thought - including feminism, socialism, prison reform, and pacifism - were probably stronger among the British than the Austro-German chapters. Paradoxical as it might seem, an attraction to Indian religions, animal rights, vegetarianism, and sexual liberation were moreover important elements in völkisch-esoteric and later Nazi circles. sad bowl
Theosophy, like other occult doctrines, was malleable and contradictory, mixing biological and spiritual notions of race in an often incoherent manner' "Theosophists could insist that the race to which one belonged had primarily to do with one's degree of spiritual maturity, observes Corinna Treitel, 'yet at the same time claim that such biologically understood "races" as the North Indian Aryans had achieved a particularly high degree of spiritual maturity? Despite its fascination with Eastern religions and claims to 'universal brotherhood, the aim of bringing the sixth root raceinto existence was central to the theosophic movement, especially in the Austro-German chapters.
Especially relevant here is the role of the lost civilization of Atlantis, or Thule in the theosophic worldview. The lost civilization of Atlantis was considered to be the prehistoric source of divine (possibly extraterrestrial) racial and spiritual perfection. For Blavatsky and her followers Atlantis may have correlated with the mythic Buddhist lands of Shambhala' and the capital city of Agarthi in Hindu tradition, ostensibly located under the Himalayas, where the successors of the third root race of Lemurians resided. The later Nazi Tibet expedition had its roots in these geopolitical and historical views, derived from Blavatsky and her amanuensis, Edward Bulwer- Lytton, both of whom emphasized the importance of Tibetan wisdom as well the evolutionary superiority of races from western China and northern India.
Later Austro-German interpreters of Blavatsky, especially Lanz and List. viewed Atlantis as the North Atlantic island civilization of Thule. As the capital of a proto-Aryan civilization called Hyperborea, its Nordic remnants might be found in today's Helgoland or Iceland. After the destruction of this ancient civilization through a global flood, Lanz and others believed, the few survivors ostensibly migrated to the highlands of the Himalayas, where they founded the secret society of Agarthi. Theosophy's idea of a lost but recoverable Aryan civilization with roots in Indo-European prehistory played an important role in other occult and border scientific theories. Via ariosophy and World Ice Theory, the idea of an Ur-Aryan Atlantis (Thule) found its way, in turn, into Nazi theories on race and space.

Any connections between Blavatsky and Gurdjieff?
Great question! While Madame Blavatsky and George Gurdjieff were both influential figures in the esoteric movement, they had different focuses and teachings. Blavatsky founded the Theosophical Society and emphasized the study of spiritual evolution and ancient wisdom. At the same time, Gurdjieff developed his own unique system known as the "Fourth Way," which integrates various teachings into a practical approach to self-realization. Although both sought to expand spiritual understanding, their methods and philosophies varied significantly. Thank you for watching! Thank you for subscribing!
@@ARTNETWORKTV I wonder if they knew each other or of each other, would you have any idea? Thank you !
There is a possibility that they were aware of each other's work, given the cultural milieu of the time, but their approaches and philosophies differed significantly. Blavatsky emphasized esoteric knowledge and the blending of Eastern and Western spiritual traditions, while Gurdjieff's work was more about the individual's inner development and the work on oneself mentally and physically.

Dr drew and that Tyler guy did an experiment where they monitored his brain and dr drew was kind of saying that same thing. How it’s more of a memory field left behind (not his words Exactly I can’t remember)

I've always said that it feels more like a memory of something that's already happened. You're the first person I've ever heard confirm this. ☺️

A woman went around different countries in the eighteen hundreds Strong arming knowledge from grown ass men?
" The esoteric teachings are only for the fools. The fools are very much interested in anything they cannot understand. The idea of the foolish mind is that anything it cannot understand must be very mysterious, must be very superior, must belong to higher planes.
A really religious person has nothing to do with esoteric nonsense - with theosophy, with anthroposophy, and with so many Lobsang Rampas… and all kinds of nonsense that goes on being written.
It must be fulfilling some people’s needs. Just as a few people like detective novels, a few others are interested in esoteric knowledge. There is nothing esoteric in existence. Existence is nude, naked; nothing is hidden.
Once Buddha was asked, “Have you said everything, or is there something esoteric which you have not said?”
Buddha showed his hand - an open hand - and he said, “I am like an open hand, not like a fist.”
And so is existence - like an open hand, not like a fist. It hides nothing; all is there, all around you. God is overflowing… and you are pondering over esoteric things - seven planes or seventeen, seven hells and seven heavens. And the more complicated is the system, the more appeal it has.
Theosophy is more or less sheer nonsense, but it attracted thousands of people around the world. It has become a great world movement. People were talking of hidden masters, guides, astral, ethereal…. And in Madam Blavatsky’s room letters used to drop from the ceiling - letters from hidden masters who live in the Himalayas. Later on it was found that a man used to hide there on the roof and he used to drop those letters. The man himself confessed in the court that “My whole work was that whenever the session of the theosophists would be there and they would wait with closed eyes and pray for masters, hidden masters, to guide them, I had instructions from Madam Blavatsky what letter to drop. Those letters were written by Madam Blavatsky.” They were examined later on by experts and it was proved that they were written by Blavatsky herself. But she fooled people for years.
You ask me, “What is the use of esoteric teachings and spiritual knowledge?” To fulfill the demands of the fools, that is the use. And there is no spiritual knowledge at all. Spirituality is an experience, not knowledge. You cannot reduce it to knowledge; it is always knowing, never knowledge. It is an insight, irreducible into words. You cannot put it into theories, into systems of thought; that is impossible. And those who try to do it don’t know anything… only then can they do it. This is a strange phenomenon: those who know, they never try to reduce their knowing to knowledge; and those who don’t know, they are absolutely free. They can create any knowledge, that is their invention. All spiritual knowledge is the invention of the mind. Real spiritual knowing happens only when the mind is dropped, when you are in a state of no-mind.
And you ask me, “How can I find out if they are true or not?”
Why should you be worried?
Rather try to find out who you are. That’s the only real religious question, the only quest: “Who am I?” That’s enough; no other questions are significant. Avoid all other jargon - spiritual, religious, theological, esoteric. Avoid all jargon. Just stick to a simple quest: “Who am I?” That’s enough. If you know yourself you have known all; if you don’t know yourself you may know everything in the world, but that is of no use. It is unnecessary burden and bondage.

The Cabala itself is the basis of Theosophy. Anthroposophy is the extension of Theosophy. Mr. Rudolf Steiner, the mover behind Anthroposophy was a chosenite as Madame Blavatsky was a chosen one.
The entire basis of esoteric coming from Theosophy relies on the Cabala.
The idea of Theosophy has it's roots in the Heretical movements of the middle ages, to whom Theosophy responds. Gnosticism developed simply into the present day form of esoteric (yoga, meditation, a false Buddhism, bio dynamic farming, spiritual science etc.) due to Theosophy. Theosophy is a modern form of Gnosticism that sells the European Christians a substitute spirit (demonic spirit) to that of Jesus Christ/Christianity.

An impressive documentary. But the one thing i always have found problematic is that the mahatmas without exception are descibed as men. Not only that all mahatmas who are explicitly mentioned are men, even when mahatmas in general are described they are always described as a group of supernatural men. Are there realy no female mahatmas?
The esoteric traditions often encompass a broader understanding of spirituality, which includes the potential for female figures to embody the qualities of the Mahatmas. It is facinating to dive deeper into these perspectives and unearth the contributions of women in the esoteric movements, as there have certainly been influential female figures in spiritual history. Your question opens up a rich area for exploration and dialogue, andwe would love to hear your thoughts on any notable women in the esoteric tradition that you feel deserve more recognition!
@@ARTNETWORKTV Both Blavatsky herself and Annie Besant deserves attention, and they made very important contributions. Just because of that it is sad that both of them claimed that there major ideas originated from an all-men "secret brotherhood". In fact, if we leave Adyar and go to other early theosophic groups even there women often had leading roles. Cf Katherine Tingley, Alice Bailey. But even they claimed that they got there major ideas from secret male masters. All these women, and Blavatsky and Besant in particular, were deep thinkers, and Blavatsky even developed a new and impressive theoretical system. . I think there is much truth in much of their teachings, and then the power stuctrures in the society forced them to say "oh, it is nor our own ideas, it is the wisdom of wise and spiritual men - we are only their messengers" As i said, I have always thought that this is very tragic.
Of course I think that both Blavatsy herself and Annie Besant deserve much attention. Their ideas where deep, profound, and i believe there is much truth in major parts of these ideas. The 0 sophy. Learn about 0 as Russel waters spoke on it
In the video "MADAME BLAVATSKY? THE ESOTERIC MOVEMENT AND THEOSOPHY," Russel Waters likely discussed the concept of zero as it relates to the philosophy of Theosophy. The number zero has long been symbolically important in many philosophical and metaphysical traditions, representing both emptiness and potentiality. In Theosophy, zero may be seen as a symbol of the ultimate unity and interconnectedness of all things, as well as a symbol of the limitless potential inherent in the universe. The exploration of zero in this context can lead to profound insights into the nature of reality and the interconnectedness of all beings.

Madame Blavatsky is a freemason Lucifer worshipper who created New Age as melting pot of different spiritualities and practices (doesn't mean they're good) to lure the world into unconscious Luciferian/Satanic worship. She alongside with Aleister Crowley who was called the 'wickedest man in the world' created New Age with is Satanism wrapped in a pretty pink bow. Blavatsky did sorcery on behalf of the government, as the masons have people life her, and was given a special deal from the devil to create a false light spiritual PSY OP to get people away from Christ and the simplicity of the gospel.
This woman is of the devil and so is New Age. She knew that there is one way which is Jesus Christ, and along with her occult secret society they have created a complex false light which is successfully destroying sound doctrine and people's acceptability of the way, the truth, and the light which is Jesus Christ the Son of God.
Herself and her Freemason society believe that the truth is esoteric, and that people must go through a series of initiations, one of them being at the top of the mason hierarchy, renouncing Jesus Christ and spitting on the crucifixion cross.
Jesus Christ preached exoterism. The TRUTH is for everyone. And it doesn't requite stranious study of many teachers. There's one teacher whom is God in the flesh, Jesus Christ, and you can be His disciple, jumping through no hoops, only needing one book which is the Bible.
John 8:12
I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
When you are with Jesus you will see who these people really are. These people are the serpent in the Garden of Eden, tempting you with the fruit of "enlightenment". It is false englightment and their teacher/master/god is Lucifer, who is the FALSE LIGHT. Blavatsky's books are not deep, they are the basic elementaries of Luciferian worship. If you really want deep read the Bible.
2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but having itching ears, they shall heap to themselves teachers in accordance with their own lusts.
3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
