Excellent video! But if it's still not working, try this: Run Command Prompt as an administrator and use the following command (bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off). Then, reboot your computer.
A while back I thought I would like to have the Android Subsystem for Windows running on my machine. I installed it, played around a bit and haven't really been using it. Since I wasn't using it anymore I decided to follow this guide. Now an intsering issue that I've been having that I wasn't able to find a cause for has been fixed too. I'm on 3GB Fiber and I have a 2.5GB NIC in machine, for a long while my download speed was only 1.5GB. After removing Android Subsystem I'm back up to my full speed. Very happy about that, thank you for the tip and helping to fix something I wasn't expecting this to help fix.
I loved this tutorial! I can't believe it was so difficult top turn this feature off I had done every step and until the last one finally VBS turned off. The only reason I am even disabling this is so I can undervolt my cpu and to do this I need to use the Ryzen utility and to use that VBS has to be turned off. So much just to disable a feature so dumb! Glad you made a comprehensive tutorial on this thanks man
RUN Powershell as an administrator -- If you're use any sort of virtual machine, docker, vmware, vbox, wsl, etc... it will disable it To Disable bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off To Re-Enable bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype auto
Just tried this and none of these worked for me so investigating a lil bit more i found one more option. Running cmd as an administrator and using this line "bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off" did it for me! trying it out now to see if i can see any difference.
When trying to open System Settings the way you described I got the following pop up error message ' The page you are trying to access has no supported features and is not available '. The page that did open had Device Security as an option but did not look or have any information relating to your guide .
It says not running for me but there is one thing though. Ever since I got W11 the core isolation page is "missing". It shows up in Windows Searchbar but when opening it just shows me a "page not available" message
I can't understand how Microsoft can cripple performance so much by having a security feature. If it was just gaming, I would think about keeping it on but even around Windows/Opening/Minimizing it feels less snappy with it on.
Why is nobody talking about how compositing is reducing FPS. When I run glxgears normally I get 12781.985 FPS, but when I disable window compositing the FPS jumps to 27697.695 FPS THATS A 116.6932% INCREASE. (on a GTX 1070 Ti). I would love to see real world benchmarks where people disable window compositing while running games to see real world performance increase!!! It can be disabled on windows using Alt+F3 under Appearance & Fixes check Block compositing and force it
@@ExtraterrestrialIntelligenceit is there in w10 in the old Advanced System Parameters window. This is the first option inside the checklist. It was called "Activate Desktop Compositing" in Windows 7 and "Activate Peek" in Windows 10.
It doesn't work for my laptop. I have windows 11 pro HP Elitebook 840 G10 i7 13th Gen. VBS is still running after those steps. Anyone here knows other way to disable VBS?
damn bro, what are your audio presets? it sounds so clean? what do you use audition? and could you send me the link to how you made it sound like that?
Agree, the voice audio in these vids is the best I've heard, deep rich bass tones and so clear without being overpowered. Would love to know the mic used and audio processing going on here (if any).
i unticked the virtual machine platform restarted my computer at first it worked then i turned off my pc went to bed turned my pc back on and it had re-enabled itself so i had to dissable it again

Worked for me ❤
You literally copied the top comment and thought no one would notice
you can also just turn off virtualization in bios (tip: virtualization is called SVM if you're on an asus rog motherboard like me)
SVM is called SVM Mode on Asrock boards like the X570 Taichi. It's under the Advanced tab and in the CPU Configuration tab in there

It says not running for me but there is one thing though. Ever since I got W11 the core isolation page is "missing". It shows up in Windows Searchbar but when opening it just shows me a "page not available" message
It's because you have virtualization off in your BIOS.
It is missing for me on w10 even when enabled in bios
Thanks ur tutorials are always so clean
thank you for the good guide!

is there any custom windows 10 iso's that you recommend
ReviOS is the best one

the features menu looked different and i only was able do find vm-platform is that the same thing?
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH
but shouldt you have this setting on??
I use a third party anti-virus and not window def, so disabling this shouldn't be a concern right?
I'd rather have it on since my current situation with security issues I've had these past 2 years
can you make a video on da vinci resolse, when i drag timeline it show nvd error and restart with blue screen , I am using i7 , 1050 nvidea 4gb

Wheres the proof? does it really boost fps tho, show us comparison stats
