I've just realised sadly the audio recorded all in mono on the left audio channel, I've changed the microphone setting so it will be correct for the next video
Thanks for the comment that's really kind, we are weeks away from the 1-year anniversary of her passing, it's been a long LONG year, I often think what she would make of all the problems we've been facing in the last 12 months, I think she'd of been so disappointed that things she thought were in place and safe were quite the opposite. I've almost finished editing my video about my MS9-29 monitor but I've stalled for a few weeks as sorting a lot of other things out. Take care.
Well done - make sure ur following Mike amateur arcade repair channel. You sound local, I am one of Timewarp's in Bridgwater engineers so pleased to see u on here
I tried to reply last night but my internet was playing up. I'm a subscriber to Mike's channel - who isn't! essential viewing for sure! I've been down to Timewarp many times and am in conversations with Luke about various bits and trying to collaborate and help each other, we bumped into each other at the Play Lesuire sell recently - Did you go to that also? either way, good to meet local like minded people and I'm sure we'll compare notes in the future!
@@TheRetroBristolian ha nice yes that’s us and I originally was a Play Bideford engineer which became Play Leisure. So we may had a chat at closing down days , I did load the car up with monitors !
Hi, great video, i have this crt monitor in my naomi arcade, i habe a problem, sometimes turn on and work perfectly, but another times sound turn on, but the monitor don't show picture, do you know if the problem is easy to repair?
if it's sometimes fine and sometimes not it could be temperature related or a failing component like the capacitors. with temperature changes either environmental or due to it running a cracked (dry joint) could expand or contract just enough to touch and restore functionality. I would say you should safely discharge the tube (so there is no voltage at the anode), remove the chassis and check the underside for a dry joint, with a strong light and a magnifying glass you should see if there are any cracks, also check for bulging or leaking caps. these chassis will all have high hours on them now and have been through a lot of heat cycles, also they'll be about 20+ years old so the capacitors are past their recommended and usable lifespan. Thanks for watching.
Hi my ms8 29 fsg just shut off in one second, basically basically go in protection state wirhout displayng any image, the psu section is tested and ok, all caps replaced but still same issue

Thanks for dropping a comment, I wonder do you have a multimeter to tweak and adjust the shut down pot perhaps?
