    Mix of positive and negative comments. What I see is a man who is strong enough to sit down for an extended interview...and very little of it had anything to do with football. That took guts, and introspection. I wish him all the best. Proud of him. Good for you Colt.

    Awww...poor colt. You just wanna give him a hug. I can see the pain and hurt on his face. I can also sense his struggles just through his demeanor and change in voice. He has changed a lot in this interview, compared to the smiling happy guy he was in his other interviews. Still, he still has a gentle soul and my heart breaks for him. I wished the NFL gave him a second chance because this was his dream. I hope he gets better because deep down he is a great person and can turn his life around.

    We are all human and deal with our own problems in our own ways, Colt unfortunately was a SUPERB quarterback who was placed under a microscope for everything he did, good or bad in the eyes of the public. He has a great heart and was my idle and reasoning for being the best quarterback I could be as well. I wish to some day meet this man who showed me how to have fun playing football and just keep going and chasing your dreams as he reiterates and showed us all numerous times. I wish him the best of luck in life and will always be a supporter and HUGE fan of his

    Background: I've been a fan of Colt Brennan since his second year in Hawaii. A fellow southern Californian, I've been following his career ever since. In fact, every year or so, I'd check up on his status as a player, just in case I missed something. (I also thought he jad the coolest QB name ever. Almost named my son Colt) 😁
    It's sad and unfortunate to hear, watch, and see all the bad things that have happened to this dude.
    That last statement though, to the kids to "enjoy life, keep that innocence because real world/life, is right around the corner and it's not going to be fair"... That shit hits me hard and it's so true and wise.
    Rest easy champ. Just know your are not, and will not be forgotten.

    Rest easy Colt , substance abuse is a scary disease , even when you know you’re doing wrong and want to fix the problem sometimes it’s still not enough but him discussing it and being vulnerable for others to learn from is honorable .

    @seanmoloney7797 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Unfortunately these signs all point to narcotic use (percs/heroin) just the tone In his voice you can tell. Anybody who has ever used those, know that's what you sound like. Constant rubbing of the face and eyes. Tiny pupils. All unfortunately point to this. Sad because it was clearly too late for him . I pray people get clean before it's too late. I used for 7 years. I was a wreck. If I can do it, anybody can. 4+ years clean and counting

    I was completely shocked that he's no longer with us. One of my closest friends was grateful to have Colt as a counselor at Elite11, and at first, once I've heard the news, I told him, and to him, it was unbelievable. There are days I pull for people to crush their challenges, and he was among them. At the end of the day, the demons succumbed. If you fully understand somebody that's having problems, kindly take an interest in them. Mahalo, Colt!

      That is the most dense argument you can make about sports lmfao "oh yeah well you aren't better than them!!!11 Ha I showed you!" It shows you literally have actual rebuttal. He was overrated as shit. Just because I have about 1/4 the arm strength of Mark Sanchez, doesn't mean I can't say he's shit too in relation to other NFL quarterbacks. Just because I'm not a film director, doesn't mean I can't say that a movie is shit. Out of here with your pre-school understanding of debate lol
      NFL records huh? Passing records in the WAC. What a healthy indicator of NFL caliber LOL

    Watching him at Hawaii his Jr year, I thought he had potential. System QB who lit it up against bad defenses in a weak conference. But he did it on another level. The run and shoot had been around for quite a while and no one had ever done it like him. Going undefeated his Sr year was even more impressive, even though their schedule was incredibly weak.
    Then came the Sugar Bowl. Wow! He looked so small and it was evident he was a third tier guy who benefited from the system. He's not an NFL guy, but he did get a shot. He was given a few chances, and proved he's just not good enough.

    College + football + party? You are in for the proverbial, "helluva time". I played Div. 1 in the 70's and struggled with the after effects. Although I find football an intriguing game, it's effects on the players and society remains very much in question. The brutality of it is shocking. Society's hunger for it is shocking. The lingering after-effects on the mind and body, long after the lights have dimmed, are sadly & truly devastating. Attempts to ban football go as far back as the year 1314 in England: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attempts_to_ban_football_games
