I love how Ironhide simultaneously creates new mechanics, characters and visuals, but with all this newness still refers to the old, known and loved themes, towers and characters from previous games and continues their stories, as with new hero Anya - the daughter of Dante and Lucrezia
I already know that I will spend hundreds of hours with this game.
Yeah, as soon as I saw Anya's design I said "she looks like a female version of Dante" and then I paused to read the description, which confirmed I was right. Dante was my second favorite hero in frontiers, so I'll probably play her a lot.

Damn this looks epic. Ironhide went way harder on this one than I thought they would. All the heroes and towers look so polished and well-done and actually like have character behind them too. I already have my favourites lmao...The guy who got tired of making weapons from the sidelines, the holy dragon, and the daughter of DANTEZ AND LUCREZIA? That's such a cool detail lol, this makes me feel like a child again. The demon pit and necromancer tower and all the other towers look sick too. And idk what that ending was but it was so cool lol. Thank you Ironhide.

@@stomingabenThe engine they’re using is going to be the same one as frontiers, origins, kingdom rush 1. But the graphics isn’t something that’s exclusive to a game. it just evolved, still the same style but just more detailed/cartoony. it’s still good, but they said the gameplay and balancing should feel more like the original 3. and also harder

can't believe they're bringing back some super iconic towers from previous games. the soldier-barracks tower at 0:43 looks like Militia Barracks from KR 1. the purple mages look like Arcane Wizards from KR 1.
not to mention the iconic necromancer tower from Frontiers at 1:06 and it seems like you can summon a skeleton golem like Bone Flinger tower from KR: Vengeance. At 1:13 the mage tower looks like a throwback to High Elven Mage from KR Origins. the purple archer towers at 1:12 looks like a throwback of Ranger's Hideout tower from KR 1 but with a royal palace style.
it seems like they took the best parts of each previous title and combined them into this game. i'm really hoping the base release will include an endless mode + leaderboard for replayability and end-game players. imo Origins and Frontiers were so iconic and stood out from the others because of the endless mode feature.
but i hope they make new towers not all repeteated

Kingdom Rush 1 will always be my favorite. I remember playing it in the 4th grade on an old laptop I got for Christmas. Must've been 2012 or something. Memories.

I love the 'redesigns' of some of the older towers. Can't wait to use them again in an unexplored storyline! Also, Denas and Vez'nan fighting together, epik!

My 18th time watching the trailer and still crying. Been playing Kingdom Rush since it released back in 2011 and I was 12 at that time, this game a has been special to me with me and my friends playing when were still kids.

I remember sitting in the front room of my house over a decade ago, in first grade, showing the original kingdom rush to my best friend on the family iPad. I even remember that it was the second level of the snow region. After my mom told us to get off the video games, we went upstairs to my room and pretended that we were in the game, having to stop enemies from reaching the fort we made out of blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals on my bed.
I played this series religiously up until a few years ago, after the App Store decided I didn’t actually own Kingdom Rush Origins, and I lost interest. When vengeance came out, I was super excited, and finally decided to get back into the series by playing through the ones that I could. Unfortunately, after playing through vengeance, I was left disappointed. It simply felt much more like… well, a mobile game than all the others. This was mostly due to certain towers being locked behind a paywall. For a while after vengeance, I was worried that we were witnessing the fall of the kingdom rush series.
This trailer has restored my hope. Seeing the old engine come back is incredible, I love the art style of the first three games, as they just had so much charm. Seeing the villains ally themselves with the heroes to take down an unknown threat is super exciting, and I can’t wait to play this game.
As someone who is in college for Computer Science and Music Composition, and as someone who someday hopes to enter the gaming industry, I say this from the bottom of my heart: please prove my old notions about the fall of this franchise wrong. If anyone can do it, it would be this incredible team of developers.
I look forward to playing this game on release, and I look forward to seeing what this franchise has in store for us in the future.
From playing KR on my iPad in 2011 when I was 6 to this. This truly amazing game has really come a long way and I can’t wait to play it!

Dante was my favorite hero in KR Frontiers... so to see that his legacy lives on through Anya really made me happy. And his ghost is even part of her skillset it seems. Can't wait to see what she can do!

2. Raelyn: a female dark knight
3. Nyru: protector of nature
4. Grimson: a mercenary with Alex mercer's abilities
5. Torres: Linirean Construction worker
6. Anya: Daughter of Dante the hunter and vampire Lucreiza
7. Therien: A dark mage of twilight elves (possibly Bajnimen's student?)
8. Warhead: A walking killing machine of the dark army
9. Onagro: Basically goblin version of the mecha from frontiers
10. Broden: A guy using 2 guns while riding a Griffin. Couldn't get more badass than that
11. Lumenir: A physical manifestation of a lightbringer, worshipped by paladins
12. Kosmyr: Lumenir but evil

For all it's faults Vengeance introduced the really neat idea of many different towers to chose from. That idea will make this game great.
King Denas and Veznan were always friends but then some problems were in the way of their friendship causing a conflict which finnaly ends with them working to together against an even more huge threat
