Let’s not forget that Scott made FNAF because of criticism. On one of his earlier games Wood Chipper or something people complained that the characters were too creepy so he just made a horror game
Here after Scott announced the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative, where he’s using his own money to support the creation of new entires in fangame series and port their whole series to consoles and mobile and create merchandise for them. This is all for fangames, properties created inspired by Scott’s own original creation. Compare this to Yanderedev, who threatened suicide when someone attempted to showcase an early version of a fangame they were working on because the developer of the original game wouldn’t be releasing shit anytime soon. From that he responded to me in less than half a day, giving me some solid direction and couldn't be any nicer. I'm not really into fnaf anymore, but I still feel honored from that interaction. Nice guy.
Don’t forget the time that yandev kicked of Tinybuild (an renowned video game developer that made games like no time to explain, party hard etc) out of his development team for fixing his terrible code and replacing it with better code. For a guy that takes time out of his day to ban everybody that makes cum chalice memes he doesn’t have any tolerance for good code Edit: he also owes them $31,000 since he failed to pay them. Also he’s got new drama with The game sleuth since he made videos about him recently. Also he threatened suicide to Dr Apeis, a dev that’s working on a fan made game that’s named Love letter, my true feelings (originally named lovesick). Alex state’s that Dr Apeis “stole assets” from Yandere Simulator, even though they are pre-made assets and wanted him to change it. Dr Apeis is going to change the assets and make new ones.
@@opiumfields3285 If he'd just accepted TinyBuild's contributions and focused on making the gameplay ideas better and finishing what he already has instead of adding new npcs and easter eggs the game would've been done by now.

Scott Cawthon is probably the nicest game dev I've ever seen, heres an example, he received a letter from a little kid who really liked foxy and Scott responded to him by sending him foxy merch and wrote a letter back acting like foxy
Fun fact about Yandere Dev: He once hired an employee from tinybuild games to help with the game. The employee saw how messy the code was and decided to fix it. A day later, alex saw the new code and didnt know what it meant. So instead of asking the employee what was it, he just fired him and just returned to the old messy code
When he does things like that, it becomes more obvious that Yandere Dev is delaying the game for as long as he can so people can continue giving him money.
Dont forget the money scott donated to fighting cancer in the form of a game, sure the game looked like something from the mobile store but its more of the thought that counts, also the short time he had to make it
Also he promised 500,000 if a few youtubers could find all the money in the game in two hours. They couldn't do it, but got close, so Scott donated the full amount anyways.

Sister location is in clickteam too.And Scott didn't really make the vr game.It was mostly done by (steelwool games i think?)I think yandere dev was lazy to learn better coding skills. Scott Cawthon is a very talented, respectful, and great game developer. He made his games simple and didn't try to overwork himself. Many people will say he's milking the game but he's telling a complex story. He takes the money he got from his games and merch and gives back to charities donating thousands. He always listens to Criticism, devoted a game to a fan with cancer who passed away, has a great sense of humor, great fan service, and always working hard to give more to his fans
Let's not also forget the fact that, when you have a successful brand, people are going to ask for more. Maybe we don't want the game to go on forever, but there are people that do. You do what sells, and despite the implications, and there's no reason not to do that. I think that Scott Cawthone should have had a bigger pot because his games are connected if you pull the details of the FNAF games out and piece them together... but with YanDev, his game don't have much of a story since it's only 1 GAME! so for a better game storyline, there should more than 1 game!.....

Even as someone who isn’t that big of a fnaf fan, I still respect Scott quite a bit. He created Fnaf after being rejected for his designs in a game that looked too creepy, and, instead of getting discouraged about It, created a horror game that was massively successful and well coded. YanDev wishes he could be as productive.
Yandev does not wish he could be as productive, he gave up on the game long ago after realising that no matter what he does, 11 year olds will keep throwing their parents money at him.
@@mwox5044 Are all of them? I know the first 4 are and it'd make sense for 6 and custom night, but I'm not sure Sister Location would be possible like that, and the VR game certainly wouldn't. Sister location is in clickteam too.And Scott didn't really make the vr game.It was mostly done by (steelwool games i think?)I think yandere dev was lazy to learn better coding skills. I think yanderedev just started with a project that was too big and now the fix would be so hard that it isn't worth it.He is lazy to learn tho.
Hasn't Scott also donated a significant amount to charity?
@@mwox5044 Yes but he could realistically release it better if he spent time fixing over the course of all these years instead of whining at people. Even if it wasnt stable 60 and floating around 50+fps for a low powered rig and if he had released the other rivals no one would've complained. The progress is slow because of
1) constantly streaming when not completely necessary
2) "responding to emails" when back when he made more money than a highly skilled coder would've via patreon alone he could've gotten someome to manage the emails
3) Adding too much unecessary details. Every single character has age, names, hobbies and personality. The "anime" in the game has a literally back story and he fuckin goes out of his way to make up the whys and hows. And every "cool" idea he has is obviously focused on instead of the rivals.
4) He has no future-proofing. Like the time schedule conflict in the game that was patched, it's evident that any additional rivals would break the game despite how he literally says "They're just harder versions of the same character"

I mean, Nintendo has been doing that for 35+ years by repackaging/rebranding Mario, was basically the same objective of rescuing the princess from Bowser, with just graphical updates and minor gameplay tweaks 🤷🏻

@@Stroika69 of course it does. it sucks when someone shits on something you like. I'm not trying to downplay your emotions but if you just want to chill and enjoy the game you should probably stay out of this discourse.
@@Stroika69 Thats sort of the problem though, Yandere dev dosent want to make a funny game (he's expressed how much he wants to be taken seriously multiple times) and how enjoyable it is now really isnt a proper judgement cause its still in pre alpha, if/when there core gameplay mechanic is added (rivals) the way the game will play will completley change (wont be a sandbox anymore, which is pretty much the part people enjoy). If yandere dev was going for a funny enjoyable sandbox then sure but thats not the intention at all. He's trying to make a stealth assasination game with rpg elements (not a great set up tbh) but that dosent exactly work with no one to assassinate and the rpg elements being incredibly redundant and generally underwhelming tbh.
