i will definitely build this in the near future, but i have no idea where i'll be able to rack it. wild design, thank you for continuing to publish great DIY stuff
Great, looking forward to your video. One more thing. I found an issue with the central push button, which can easily be fixed. I did that already in GitHub. But I want to make sure that you have the right version. If the version number on your control board states 2.1, you are fine. If it is 2.0, then please check the following. On the upper right of the board you find a 33K resistor (the only 33K), and next to it a 100K resistor. If next to the 100K there is a 1N4148 diode, then that is incorrect. To fix it, just do not solder the diode, but bridge the connections of the diode with a wire (e.g. a cut-off resistor leg). Then things should work fine. Sorry for that mistake. I found out that with that diode the button might not trigger the knob shuffling.
Hello. Appreciating greatly your modules and their highlights through your videos, I finalize this GITM. I work on the v2.0 PCBs and you mentioned in these comments the removal of a diode 1N4148. On the pots/jack sockets PCB, there are two diodes near two resistors of 33K and two resistors of 100K(...on the other PCB, the 30k resistor is only one and another diode exist!...). Which diode should be removed for the button to work effectively? Thank you.
Sorry, I realized now from your screenshot that version 2.0 does not have that diode issue. I think that was in a previous version. The diode you pointed out needs to be put in. No need to take care of any other incorrect diode. I referred to the 3 resistors above that diode. In a previous version there was another diode next to them. But it is not in version 2.0. Hope that clarifies your point. Otherwise leave another comment.
Love it. Eurorack is all about experimentation and playing around to stumble upon interesting sounds and rhythms. This is right up my street. Are those Mutable modules clones or just custom faceplates?
@@TOILmodular sadly I cannot build myself due to nerve damage, can't handle a soldering iron any more. I wish you luck with the kits though, it's a great idea and is well designed and implemented.
I see. Sorry to hear that. Maybe there’s some similar commercial stuff around. Or you can set up something like that with separate modules. Basically, the module interior does not contain any special units. Maybe besides the shuffling part.
Sorry, I do not sell stuff. Would be too much to manage. This is all just about sharing my own 2 cents of DIY with the world, paying back a bit for all that I found from all these incredible DIY sources.
Damn system is looking fine with that paneling
Thanks. I enjoyed especially doing the panel design.

Yeah, quite a few HPs. But it gives you some space between the knobs. And still a bit smaller than using separate modules for it.
Absolutely cool thing. I’m just riding through space hearing the sounds of this phenomenal box 🤩👏👍
Yeah, you can get lost in outer sound space with it
this is just beautiful!!! gonna get boards ordered ;-) thanks for sharing mate!!
That‘s great. I thought it might be too weird
@@TOILmodular boards arrived, getting parts and soon assemble... will make some videos and share ;-)

incredibly compelling design!
Thanks a lot!
Sounds lovely
Thank you. Seems like my concerns that this sounds a bit too weird don’t have any basis.
Amazing. Maybe I'll try to build one.
Yes, go ahead. It’s great fun.

Brilliant idea and implementation! Love it! ❤
Thank you very much, MeeBilt.
Really amazing ! Do you plan to build and sell some ready-to-plug modules ?
Thanks, but sorry, no plan for selling. It’s just DIY and sharing with the world.
@@TOILmodular I understand, thanks !

They are clones. Check out my other videos and my GitHub.
Wow, this is incredible!
Well done ! 👍
Thank you so much
looking for some help with my build. wondering if there is a way to contact the designer for assistance
Sure. You can either create an issue in the GitHub repository. Or send me an email. The address is in the channel info.
This is SO awesome cool!!!
Thanks, mate
Sounds like a gemerald of a classic sci-fi spaceship
Got me! I found the thing glowing in a hole of molten rock in my backyard
hey algorithm promote this. you need more upvotes!
Haha, greetings to the almighty algorithm
Masterpiece 🎛️
Thanks. Glad you like it
awesome
Thank you
Want one!
Get it! But DIY only

@@TOILmodular thanks, yeah I can achieve similar results, may take a few connections but that's the fun of patching!
I see myself with just this module and a drum machine…be lost forever 🙂↔️
Yeah, I didn’t imagine before I finished the thing, but the ghost is really able to swallow a lot of your time, if you let it.

sounds like a slowed down... effed up Benjolin.
Yeah, maybe. Like a blind or masked Benjolin
@@TOILmodular I dig it! I have no HP left. lol
The curse of Eurorack - lack of HP. No cure available. I am thinking about building my next case.
Lol I use my whole system to make stuff like this one module is doing.
Right, that’s actually how I got some of the ideas for this thing
