As it starts, you can clearly hear that Paul's vocal range is Ténor. It means that high notes are easy to reach for him. No needs to shout. Beyond his absolute genius and talent, I could only envy this: being a tenor. It offers so many more possibilities of vocal expressions. Paul really had, has, it all, from god. Greatest artist ever.
Jimmy McCulloch was my school classmate from 66-69. We were all Beatles mad & the thought of playing with a Beatle was ludicrous & have a No.1 record with Thunderclap Newman. Boy did well.

Then, freak out when I remember Paul is now almost 82, not 32! 😢 Like ALL Macca music, these tunes stand the test of time! U can play all of his music today & it’s just as relevant, just as hip, just as excellent! I have always & will always LOVE Paul McCartney!!!
Wonderful upload; I like Paul's smile after Linda completes her synth solo on Jet. She actually became quite a good musician and her backing vocals / harmonies were great. Paul's '1985' is sublime.

It's not really about range. People always tell you that Maria Carey can sing five octaves, but so what? It's what you do with it that counts. As for Macca, his loss of range is less a problem than the loss of tone. Nothing lasts forever. But still, who wouldn't rather he keep singing than not?
Paul is nearly eighty-two and did a fair bit of drinking, drugging and screaming in the younger years. It would be a miracle if he still had the voice and range that he had in his thirties. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
why can't people just be thankful for the 60 year career this man has given us instead of holding him to impossible standards like "what if he sounded 30 at 85".

Well you commented on the video, so one assumes you are commenting what the video shows. Apparently you are talking about something else, so that's fine, thanks for clarifying,
This was McCartney's tightest band; I'm speaking live, musically. There's a moment at 12:15 or so when Jimmy McCullough flashes this extemporaneously exuberant smile, pointing down at his guitar. Meanwhile, Denny Laine is over there in what else but musical dialogue with his other co-conspiritors. The video helps the appreciation of this excellent music a lot. Thank you.
I've never seen this before! Thanks for having it here! Other than producing the line "and a commie with a tommy gun" (which sounds like a lyric from The Clash), I don't get the appeal of "Soily". It feels unpolished and a little amateurish, to me. I still don't understand the logic behind choosing it as the final number on the Wings Over America tour. -shrug- Not actually bad, per se, just kind of ... reductive?

Yes he was fantastic in 75. I love him too. But how many men at 82 have HIS vocal range now? Just wondering.
