Maker's is a wheated bourbon so it makes some sense that you dislike it when you're a rye fan. i'd like to see a high proof/cask strength showdown. example Old Grand Dad 114
Rye is a longtime and honored whiskey ingredient. If you pay attention and you'll notice that in the T.V. show "Gunsmoke" Ms. Kitty always kept a bottle of rye underneath the bar exclusively for Matt. It also gains mention in the song "American Pie" when the lyrics say "I drove out to the levy but the levy was dry and those good 'ol boys were drinking whiskey and rye..."
Good video Alabama Boss! I am also from Alabama and a USN Vet. I have come to like many various Scotch Whisky! Would love to see your video on some of the Scotch Whisky.
For a good whiskey, equally mix a bottle of Bulleit bourbon and Bulleit rye. It is better than either of them alone. Honestly the JD rye is my pick. I don't like regular JD at all but the rye is damn tasty.
You’ve probably already had this but my favorite easy to find drink is the regular Jack Daniels Bonded, black label 100 proof. My favorite of all time would have to be Jack Daniels single barrel barrel proof. I heard that Jack Daniels coy hill is the best but hard to find and expensive, therefore I’ve never been fortunate enough to try it
WOODFORD RYE BEST CHEAP RYE. ive tried alot of these and i want spice and smooth. willet is awesome for spice and aromatics. expensive tho. Woodford def my go to rye.
Lol which one is your favorite I really feel once you get to drinking it doesn't matter anymore because after the 3rd shot it's all fun especially with Rye
Monkey Shoulder is a blended Scotch. I like it on the rocks. Maybe do a on the rocks, and neat pour comparison of blended Scotches. Scotch is definitely whisky, but a different profile for sure.
Try Rittenhouse rye…good stuff from heaven hill, I prefer it to all these in the video. I also dislike makers. Good review, rye is good stuff that’s why you like it!
Bulleit is good. But I prefer James E Pepper 1776. Do a Rum tasting but please no captain Morgan’s or new recipe Sailor Jerries, if you want closer to original Sailor Jerries try Admiral Vernons Old J spiced. Pussers Gun powder, mount gay black label, Don Papa 7 year old, Don Q
I second the Monkey Shoulder on a Scotch review! But only include single malts, otherwise you’ll end up with some bullshit like Johnny Walker red that tastes like cigarette ashes and apples for some reason.
@Ratedred I'm from Trinity Alabama, about 40 minutes from Huntsville, and he reminds me of every cool guy I hang out with.. just down to Earth good ol boy lmao. I appreciate yall, and I used RatedRed as the code. Love yalls channel. Blessings my friends.
Much like the late and very much lamented Old Charter 8 year old, 10 year old and bottled in bond. That 8 year used to be my favorite. Now bottom shelf and good luck figuring out how long it has aged.
Because to many the smell is part of the experience. Just like how some people smell their food before they eat it. Plus, in general it will give you a heads up on what you're going to experience on the palate
Alabama Boss tries Absinthe, lol, I figure he would hate it all but would still be fun to watch.
Now THAT I would like to see.
@@Ratedred I imagine whoever edits the videos and has to censor the swearing would have their work cut out for them on that one lol.
they did it! th-cam.com/video/6ktjqaLc8nA/w-d-xo.html
I'd love to see Alabama Boss do other liquors. Tequila? Gin would be hilarious. Malort? I can't imagine his reaction to Malort.
Malort is a GREAT idea.
Hey Boss you have to try Malort
Maker's is a wheated bourbon so it makes some sense that you dislike it when you're a rye fan. i'd like to see a high proof/cask strength showdown. example Old Grand Dad 114

114 is my favorite budget bourbon!
Love Old Grand Dad! Cheers!🥃
@@FalkorHuntingandGaming Jim Beam are actually really solid especially if you’re not a “sweet” whiskey/bourbon fan like me.
"I got a gun, but that don't help" 😂
You shouldn’t have a gun if your drinking this 😂
😂😂😂😂
"Fuck Makers Mark!" hahahahaha I suggested the Bulleit.
Bullet is such a great brand, and when you consider the price, they become a fantastic brand. Love them
The Bulleit definitely has the rye flavor. I've had it several times before.
need to try Old Grandad 114, old tub, blade and bow, angels envy, and Ben Holladay

The Bulleit Rye is my favorite, but it really does have a bite on it lol
It sort of says something when every shot tastes better than the last 🍻🍻
I just love rated red and Alabama boss lol but hell make em try different tequilas.

Spoken like a true Master Blender.
Come on with some top shelf SCOTCH and then that will be a good show. Love this guy. Hes awesome
Try finding veteran owned and/or operated distilleries from across the country. Recommendation: Smoky Quartz from NH.
For mixing whiskey I like VO , Canadian VO ... taste pretty smooth with a splash of Coke in it
old overholt,my favorite rye whisky
Damn straight and about time it was mentioned.
Cheers Boss.
🍻
You have to try Canadian rye whiskey it's really our style of whiskey. Michter's is my favorite American rye though.
My favorite rye is Pendleton. Absolutely recommend you try that!
Michters is definitely my favorite rye so far.
You’ve probably already had this but my favorite easy to find drink is the regular Jack Daniels Bonded, black label 100 proof. My favorite of all time would have to be Jack Daniels single barrel barrel proof. I heard that Jack Daniels coy hill is the best but hard to find and expensive, therefore I’ve never been fortunate enough to try it
You should do varity packs, like the Arizona hard ice tea varity packs
Don’t be gay
Damn straight on the Michter's Rye - fine stuff there.
I never had a rye, but Old Forester make's the best affordable bourbons on the market, and I bet their rye is one of the best as well.
Try whistlepig 10yr rye. I am not a rye guy but that bottle got me and I've been trying different ryes since.
I like makers mark and bullet bourbon foror rye and bourben.... Im new to bourben and rye so any suggestions for new things to try are helpful
WOODFORD RYE BEST CHEAP RYE. ive tried alot of these and i want spice and smooth. willet is awesome for spice and aromatics. expensive tho. Woodford def my go to rye.
Definitely try Yamazaki whiskey
I'd love to see you Try Oban. The 14 yr is by far my favorite scotch.
Try white owl spiced(mixer), or forty creek Niagara
Lol which one is your favorite I really feel once you get to drinking it doesn't matter anymore because after the 3rd shot it's all fun especially with Rye
I'm a Rye Guy.
Do Canadian whiskey, and have a bottle of Canadian Gold in the line up.
Knob creek small batch is my thing.
Around my parts we call Wild Turkey, the Dirty Bird!
Best Tennessee Whiskey
Gotta try Michters Bourbon and the American Whiskey. Both damn good too!
Thanks for the suggestions! If the Michters Bourbon is half as good as the rye. 🤔
@@Ratedred it's better than the rye!
@@Ratedred See if you can find either the Michter's 10 year rye or the Barrel Proof rye. Both are hard to find, but outstanding!
Cant forget the michters sour mash
Michter's is good. Pikesville, too.
Whistle Pig: PiggyBack
Best rye whiskey hands down
Rum?
Appleton, Doorly’s, Plantation, etc.
I like bullit rye, Tin Cup Rye is even better!
At the exact moment I was thinking "Alabama Boss doesn't carry a pocketknife" he mentioned it hahah
Sazerac rye is the best rye for the money give it a try
Monkey Shoulder is a blended Scotch. I like it on the rocks. Maybe do a on the rocks, and neat pour comparison of blended Scotches. Scotch is definitely whisky, but a different profile for sure.
Try a islay scotch lineup or a cask strength bourbon lineup. 👍
Try Rittenhouse rye…good stuff from heaven hill, I prefer it to all these in the video. I also dislike makers. Good review, rye is good stuff that’s why you like it!
Take a Shot of Hennessy Lol.
Some good rye there!
Agreed!
Redemption high rye bourbon it’s 92 proof
A brown bag special with cheap, bottom shelf spirits!!!!
I like pendleton rye better than bulliet. Both good though
I've come to appreciate the Rye alcohol better myself
Tin cup rye is the way to go.
Woodford Reserve for the win
Bulleit is good. But I prefer James E Pepper 1776.
Do a Rum tasting but please no captain Morgan’s or new recipe Sailor Jerries, if you want closer to original Sailor Jerries try Admiral Vernons Old J spiced. Pussers Gun powder, mount gay black label, Don Papa 7 year old, Don Q
Redwood empire emerald giant rye whiskey. My #1 rye whiskey. Those mainstream rye whiskeys are nothing compared to Redwood Empire. #ratedred #alabamaboss
I second the Monkey Shoulder on a Scotch review! But only include single malts, otherwise you’ll end up with some bullshit like Johnny Walker red that tastes like cigarette ashes and apples for some reason.
Yo the Boss!!!
0:56 me too
I just ordered some of those gummies and got 9 bucks off and free shipping!! Lets see whats up.
I hope they more than 5mg

I would like to see Alabama Boss try different Gins and Liqueurs it would be an interesting video lmfao
Liqueurs would be wild. Gotta get him some Malort.
@@Ratedred I would love to try Malort tbh and Yes that would be hilarious to him try Malort
Alabama Boss you gotta let the Smokey Squatch Barber give you the best beard trim you’ve ever had. Also I may know of an IPA you can actually drink😉🤣
Woodford Reserve is real good, I don't know if they make a rye.
Makers mark changed their formula when they went from using a cork to screw top. Bottom self now days.
Much like the late and very much lamented Old Charter 8 year old, 10 year old and bottled in bond. That 8 year used to be my favorite. Now bottom shelf and good luck figuring out how long it has aged.
Sagamore Spirit Rye out of Baltimore. They have a whole lineup
Noooo you didn't get Alberta premium cask strength rye 😢try it boss its 100% Rye and got a kick
Do brandy next
More craft beers!!!!!
Soon!
Ya otta do some Islay scotch like laphroaig 10
Bulleit Rye is gods gift to man
They did a shootout of rye and didn't even include sazerac rye?
Don't blame us, blame the comment section on the last video!
@@Ratedred yeah but saz is THE rye you can't do a shootout without it
If it ain't got a cork
Unscrew it😉

Nice.
Alabama Wuss tries all the Makers Mark should be next.
Alabama Boss tries Top shelf Bourbon, or Scotch? Lol
How about some Texas bourbons
Drop some recommendations!
@@Ratedred garrison brothers, Firestone walker TX brand, Balcones Bourbon, Still Austin bourbon, Fire Oak bourbon, Herman Marshall. Are a few.
Islay scotch
A few different single malt styles would be good. Not cheap tho.
No Whistlepig 10 year💀
Oh gross Bullet 🤢
That brand is the worst. You should try Ole Smokey's Moonshine & Whiskey
See how red his face got drinking that
That's when you know it's working.
Why do you always smell what you are drinking.
Because to many the smell is part of the experience. Just like how some people smell their food before they eat it. Plus, in general it will give you a heads up on what you're going to experience on the palate
Your face is cherry red😂
