2 years later and i still come back to this because it's simple, sprinkled with some humor, and covers every basic you need in the easiest way to understand. The combos are shown step by step and you say why each one has it's importance, which really helps Still have yet to do relaunch consistently though LMAO

i wish all fighting game tutorials were like this, instead of some guy talking for like 1+ hour going into insane detail about each of the characters normals (even the ones that you will never use)
I've never played guilty gear before and tbh I am probably not going to, but for some reason it looks so cool to watch players pull this sorta stuff off

Yes it is still possible, there are a myriad of factors that will make or break this combo (which I should've mentioned more on my video) some of which are 1) Your initial c.S not being close enough to the opponent (you would want to try to keep them as on top of you as possible) 2) Gravity Scaling (rule of thumb is you can ALWAYS do relaunches on lights, you can do relaunches on mids if they get hit with ONLY h disc, and its unreliable to do relaunches on heavies) 3) Certain delays, I delay the first j.s but other people recommend delaying the second j.s at the apex of your double jump instead
@@RedstoneRomel Thanks for those tips. Moving closer definitely helped. And after some more trying, it turns out my biggest issue was not fully doing the diagonal jump after the j.d. One thing i notice with RRC is that it pops them up for that juicy Air combo, so i find myself RRC on any hit confirm to just get a free Air combo...is this truely a bad use of RC 🤕
Yes and no! If that route leads to a kill, that's good, but you want to avoid getting reset back to neutral, so some ways to cash out RRC but keep it your turn include: RRC > HDisk > run mix, RRC > relaunch combo > safejump mix. If you connect with anything bigger than a jab, you can usually cashout with septum instead of RRC, and get more damage and a hard knockdown, so like, c.S > 2H > septum > microdash > HDisk > run mix is a much better option than full combo > RRC > full combo (again, unless that would kill). I usually cashout for septum > Hdisk, to make iron savior and bad moon safe, or for SDisk > forward PRC as an approach.
Hi! I'm using what's known as numpad notion where each number corresponds to a position of the stick/pad, 1 is holding down and back, 2 is holding down, etc. Numpad Notation is called that because where you would place your stick is in the same spot where a numpad would be in on a keyboard. For the letters like P, K, etc. Those are just shorthand for Punch, Kick, Slash, Heavy Slash, and Dust which are the main buttons for this game. If you have any more questions I'm free to answer them
the 2 big updates was that turbofall can cross up in the corner now and 6k can link into 2k (there's more but I can't think of them right now). School has been busy so I haven't been able to work on a new video but I would like to soon
@@RedstoneRomel The reason I can't play a lot is because of school and other important thing. I hope with my casual level I can atleast go to floor 10(currently floor 8 with May bit I might fall back to floor 3). This video really helped man. Gio player here trying to learn Millia since the new october patch - I'm amazed at this video's editing and detailed info! Thank you for showing the hitboxes, plus clear combo routes in text form. Does this patch take into account the new patch's system changes?
I added a couple of new things that 1.10 gives us (Winger being a good reversal now + Anti-Air Counter-Hit 6P can give meaty disc) but a lot of the implementation of the new stuff for millia is pretty advanced and this was supposed to be a beginner guide (The turbofall kapel reset and a lot of the mirazh haircar setups). A lot of the stuff here is still really optimal and for people starting out Millia I think that learning these things are better because it builds a foundation.
How is it meaty, and not meaty? Every time i knock them down and H disk, i usually lose and get mashed out at, but is see the way its supposed to work, and masters are supposed to get destroyed.
This is assuming you are doing the H disc as soon as possible after the knockdown. To be fair the disc isn't completely meaty for everyone, some characters (namely Leo) can 6P through it. However in general the problem is not doing disc fast enough
Also to reply to the first part, it's an issue of how long you recover after knocking someone down, after 2D you recover quickly enough to set up an H disc quickly, but after haircar and throw your recovery is much longer so you will set up disc at a later time, allowing your opponent to just leave
@@DukeApples the only "real" option after a throw is to do a falling j.H or j.K as those can catch people trying to jump out which will either counter hit them or will keep them I'm place allowing you to repressure

I'm sure that WA changes some stuff about the play as a whole, but this has been the most straightforward guide to her general gameplan, so I'm assuming everything related to strategy is still valid. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't trying to learning combos that may not work anymore. Also, I've been trying to watch some S3 gameplay. It seems that the way Millias are using WA is often just to wallbreak, opting to keep meter for more RC mix ups. Is this (vaguely) how things are, at least early in S3?
The general gameplan is the same but routing has significantly changed, I plan to make a S3 video soon but i haven't had time yet, Millias are also using WA into H Disc because it gives meaty Disc, the wider strokes of the guide is the same but the finer details have changed (you can do any combo shown here but its pretty unoptimal especially now)
yeah at the time of writing I didn't know how many frames 2p would be (this was released a day or 2 after the big patch) but a notable thing about it is that its a good abare situation if you think your opponent will throw you because it beats the throw invincibility
@@RedstoneRomel also now it is 5 frames fast. I think the frame data is so structured, that you can take turns back with a 5 frame fast move (I think please correct me if I'm wrong)

@@RedstoneRomel ok ok, so not all knockdowns are equal, so the most meaty would be 2D, I have been working on 5k, 2k, 2d H disk the most.
