They’ll take off. Especially with a 2.19” intake valve. A 2.25” is likely to put you in the struggle bus at that bore diameter. I do suggest locating that head down on the flow fixture very accurately. Dowel pins, head gasket and all. You can put yourself way out in left field by just eye balling head location on a small bore big block.
@ my head gaskets it’s glued down on the 4.250” fixture ., no valve notch either on the bore fixture like the actual block will have and it will be 4.310” bore … goal is 650hp it’s a street deal it’s already good enough for that … thanks for commenting i appreciate the tech talk it’s always good to listen to others as well ., this rpm bbc heads are kinda like a stock bbc iron Cyl copy nothing great at all …

They’ll go 285 @.400” with a 2.19” valve and a 4.25” bore. Oval port RaceRites will do that much. They’re SR ports.
