"Leave town" is the best ending imo , it's what he always wanted : to get away from all this shit , especially after he had taken his revenge , and then Vito ruling over the city was the icing on the cake.
Nah. After sign of the times dlc, it would be foolish to just up and leave. What's the point of renovating the bar if you're just gonna leave and also still being hunted down by the FBI? Father is sack full of shit
If you believe the trilers, the canonical ending is "ruling together" (at least with Vito)
Donovan is such a badass. Will be cool if they'll make a DLC, where you play as him.

Lincoln achieved nothing by leaving....all he fought for will be for nothing except only give Padre a slight peace though it's clear that Padre won't be happy any options so yeah I prefer the rule together option.
Rule alone: Bad ending
Leave town: Normal ending.
Rule together: Good ending.

Personally I do the "rule together ending", after all that blood I shed I'm not just gonna pack it up and leave it all behind, THIS IS MY TOWN!!!! But... I'm also not so selfish as to stab those that helped me get to this this point in the back.
Rule together is a canonical ending.

Rule Together gives a sense on why they are doing the Documentary about Clay... it's the perfect ending.
the 2 best ending I think are.
1. Lincoln takes over the city with all 3 underbosses.
2. Lincoln leaves and Vito takes over.
the other ones are not that great I think.
Cassandra's ending is the worst.
Vito finally being a happy man having what he deserves to have makes me happy enough to rule only with him or leave town
@Ishfaaq Amode if you choose the options to rule the city alone, Lincoln would die in an explosion in his car which the Padre set it up,but if you choose the options to leave town, Lincoln's enemies will keep on following him,so does the feds,so choosing the rule together options is the only choices that's have a happy endings

This father is very suspicious, he would not feel bad about killing Lincoln, he smokes(which goes against God's rules) and he helped Lincoln in certain missions, his soul will surely be condemned to hell

Why leave town is good? So Lincoln has a better life peaceful.

OG He getting hunted by that asshole Maguire and the other assholes of The FBI across the U.S. Is not a good ending at all. At least as a Crime Mob Boss he's safe and untochable. And he also continued fallowing Sammy's path, he still care about people. He help a lot of people kind like Michael Corleone.

Personally, I chose "rule together," and considering it doesn't make Father James any happier, I'm still not sure it was the right choice. I didn't know how to leave the city at the time, though, or that I even could.
Dondre Briggs I’m not sure there is a right choice. Leave town, he’s on the run for the rest of his life. No peace in that. He stays and rules the city with the underbosses, his only remaining link to the life he had before hates him for the rest of his life, he rules alone, he dies and Sal is waiting for him in Hell.
@@MetalMike38 None of the endings are good in any ways, ruling together, the one man who had hopes for him is disappointed and heartbroken to see the shell of a man that he saw like a son doing all those things for money, charity ain't going to clear his sins or make it right, the man he was was long dead.
Leaving, Clay is always on the run, but while he maintained a bridge with the one man who has hopes for him, that same person is heartbroken at the idea that his figurative son isn't at peace with himself, not because he's running from the Law but because he never found his place in the world, any good father hopes for their child to find their place but Clay just can't seem to find it.
Rule the city, this is what would make me happy. That's why rule together is the best ending.

I hate that they were talking shit about Lincoln when he took over the city with his underbosses he was taking the money he was making and expanding and fixing up places and donating money to charities but when Sal was calling the shots they didn't say negative shit about him at all

Apparently any vehicle you get into is bombed. That's why it's the "bad ending" I guess. I originally thought it was just the blue vehicle, but it's any of them.
And what if you walk away?
Well, you can stay on foot as long as you want, but the exit is closed off. You're forced to get in one of those cars and attempt to drive off.
Out of all the characters in this movie, Father James was the wisest and loyal
He is stupid, he don't like Lincoln anymore because he made the only good decision.

I really don't like that people Hate Father James. He is a priest and is done with the killing life and wants to make sure Lincoln has a good life and not a Murderous life. That's why he wanted to leave like he said at the beginning.

Honestly, father James is a miserable naïve man. Lincoln is a grown man, let him decide what he wants to do with his life. Him ruling together is the best (canon) ending. It makes a whole lot of sense.

Rule Alone Ending makes Lincoln feels like a different Person, even when after sal marcano just kill his family, Lincoln still has his normal personality, but when you choose Rule Alone, he's not feels like the Lincoln that we knew anymore
Father James may say that Clay is the evil asshole like the feds said. But for the rule together ending, Clay did the impossible that he used power which came from evil and turned it for good, making the South great. To overthrow the Marcanos like that takes more than just guts and legal proceedings. Someone has to do the dirty work to pull the rug under the Marcanos and Lincoln Clay, done it. He did what even the feds and other organisations won't dare to do and to us the players, he's the hero and the society of N. B. agrees.

RandomGuy Jimmy is from Mafia 2 Dlc. He serve no connection into Mafia story such as the connection of Tommy Angelo, Vito and Lincoln Clay.
Makes no sense. Jimmy's DLC was epic but mafia 3 is now dying like others' games.

@@e3dee0ut Lincoln's story is over because in Mafia 3 if you choose to kill Vito, Burke and Cassandra, Lincoln will be killed by Father. So further story about Lincoln is not at all possible.

Apart from Donovan going Native, (That IS what it was - not that I can ~entirely~ blame him) Rule Together was THE best End to all this. Clay, in the end, basically..? became Michael Corleone; A Mob Boss that WASN'T a Grade "A" Cunt! Rather..? he was Old School (no doubt in part due to both Donovan's "Go Hard Core or Get Lost" attitude, and Vito's (talk about Irony - The Greatest Mobster EVER..? was also named "Vito") undoubtedly pushed for "keeping things on a leash." (I.E. under the tightest of controls) and Clay wisely heeded him.
As for Donovan..? very, VERY right in that the Mobsters wanted JFK gone, but that..? was a TOTALLY Conscripted Act - Killing Government Officials simply wasn't DONE in the USA. The Commission would've Butchered the idiot that even began to speak of it. In Sicily..? sure. Happened all the time. But not in America. Vendetta was reserved only for those in The Business. (Would they have had a hand in killing Oswald..? If given the chance..? sure! But not a government official, let alone THE President - That..? would've ruined them. Why..? Because then The US would prove just WHO the REAL Criminal Overlords are - and slaughtered the Mob.)
