That is odd about Ayasofia as a mosque charging admission next year, it made more sense back when it was a museum (you also had to buy an entry ticket back then). I liked watching the fishermen catch horse mackerel off of Galata Bridge, then immediately selling them to the restaurants below. So fresh! The funny thing about inflation in Turkey is that it's been happening dramatically for a very long time. It was so severe that about 20 years ago, the old lira had to be discontinued, and new currency issued with six zeros removed from the end!
