No cap, your channel is one of my favorites. I'm Italian 20 years old and listening your videos is a pleasure. Your peacuful way of speaking and the topics you bring on the channel really interests me. My style has changed over the years and now I can admit my love for Corpcore. Infact I bought on vinted some deadstocks wool suits and rock them everyday effortlessly. To me, suits are the pinnacle of men's clothing, they're minimal but you look always presentable at the same time. Sorry If I went a bit off topic but I followed my stream of consciousness by writing this comment. Keep Up Peter!!!😊
Thanks for this minimalist compilation! I've noticed that great minimalist designs usually mean complex construction. I don't have any Lemaire stuff, but I'm assuming they're probably as carefully designed as 90s CK and Armani (i.e. darting placement, bias cuts, raglan shoulders.) I was surprised to hear how one of the Lemaire designers worked under Lacroix who I associate with the most maximalist looks possible. So beautiful. I wonder if there's anything in your design world that you'd consider maximalist?
Hmm that's really interesting. I think I'm naturally drawn to minimalist ideas so for the most part I'd say no. There are some aspects of music I quite enjoy that are probably more maximal than minimal, so there is that. Also, admittedly I have a couple of outfits in my closet that are pretty maximal but I don't wear them that often and I've held onto them for sentimental purposes. Appreciate your question, it's very thought provoking!
Great channel Peter! As a Copywriter by trade, I've been delving into design to learn more about everything from how to articulate ideas to sketching, rendering, you name it! I've been enamored by textile design and appreciate your efforts to share what innovation in the fashion space is like. Peace and blessings, Amath
Love your content, Peter. Huge congrats on your success. I also love the white shirt you’ve been wearing-where’s it from/what might we search to find something like it? I.e. formal but also soft and not too rigid.
Thank you and I really appreciate your support! This white button up is from Drake's and it's a great all around shirt in a lightweight cotton poplin. 🙏
personally i have a bias towards CK and 90's Helmut. They resonate with my utilitarian lifestyle where i prefer to have things i could wear in a meeting but also on a farm
Great video! I wish you gave more credence to Miuccia Prada’s work before Raf Simon’s entry. Sleek corpcore was her thing from the start. There is a reason Raf speaks highly of her and always vocally expressed his interest in Prada. The fall 2024 collection swim cap references this fall 2002 collection. You can buy vintage Prada and still look just as current (and timeless) today. What Raf brought was more his youthfulness to the brand, I’m looking forward to seeing how timeless those will be
I'm also a huge fan of Miuccia's work before Raf came into the picture. And you're absolutely right that vintage men's Prada holds up today: still quite modern, sleek, minimal, and relevant! Spring 2005 and 2013 are great examples of this but my all time favorite was spring 2017. Would love to hear which collections are your faves!
Those are amazing collections. I can gleen your attention to subtle pops of color in those collections and cue the great yellow sweater in the video too! Oh I wonder if I have too many favorites: fall 2000, fall 2001, fall 2006 and fall 2009! My all time fav for now is likely spring 2001. I know suit with sandals may seem ‘wrong’ to a certain demographic but the casualness and effortlessness to it is amazing! It’s definitely been a mood board inspiration for me.
You know, I actually didn't consider Hermes for this roundup. I've never really thought about this brand as minimal - though there were several seasons that could definitely fall under that category. And I can't not acknowledge the fact that Martin Margiela and Christophe Lemaire designed at the house for several seasons. But taking a step back I don't think the house has been consistently minimal in a way that feels in line with the other brands I discussed. Thank you for asking this question!

Love that sweater on you🔥

I guess I answered your question indirectly. Lol. Prada resonates! It has a little bit of play while remaining timeless

Side note: What are your thoughts on Hermes? I noticed they weren’t included here.

Lemaire resonates with me the most because it's versatile, practical and looks like a comfortable fit, without being 'too casual'
Thanks for sharing! I’m also a big fan of Lemaire ❤️
@@PetersPrism I mostly wear the affordable Uniqlo, but Lemaire looks well worth looking at for a more premium look 🙏🏻
Your yellow jumper is awesome. I wear a similar one with a shirt to work, and get regular compliments on it. 🤝
Such an underrated color for menswear, right??
@PetersPrism so true, and I don't feel there's enough bright colours at work. Have a great rest of your week 🙏🏻
Nice frames, where are they from?
Thank you! They are model 1290V2-10 from Cutler and Gross
Helmut Lang...
