I have gone through a prostate surgery. Can you suggest how much rest is required after surgery ? Urologist had not suggested any medicines for reducing the size of prostate. He has recommended a surgery directly . What is the reason for this ? Whether I can have normal sexual life now. My surgery was done on 20/08/2020 in Mumbai and I am 60 years old. Please give a reply.

Why can't a tube be inserted into rectum and put antibiotics directly onto the prostate gland to destroy bacteria? Someone needs to invent treatments that work.
@Ssp ssp the bacteria in the prostate that causes the infection. I will tell you I was cured but for an unrelated cause. I tired months of oral antibiotics and had no longterm effect, tried 3 different kinds. When I was put in the hospital for an unrelated abcess, I had IV antibiotics for 3 weeks which consequently cured my prostate issues. Oral antibiotics cannot get into tight places like the prostate to clear up infection and intravenous iv antibiotics work but need for several weeks. A quicker way is surgery onto the prostate and putting antibiotics directly onto the prostate to kill the bacteria. There is a surgeon in China I hear that does this but I don't know where.
