I don't have any real use for one on a regular basis, but I would definitely consider the Milwaukee if the need did arise. I'm very impressed on how effortlessly it was able to cleanly cut the various gauges and materials. Thanks for another very informative review and demonstration.
Mike L. Thanks Mike! After slicing through all that metal with this.....I would have a hard time going back to snips...it is about like the M18 FUEL Bandsaw, its one of those things you never knew that you "needed" :)
There's an industry out there that would love this. The Sheetmetal workers. I've used the old electric Milwaukee electric shear for cutting out the side panel on furnaces for installing filter/cold air drops. The M18 appears to have the same if not more power than the electric without having to fight the electrical cord!!!! Awesome video and as always great presentation!!!!!!
Emin HVAC Thanks Emin! Keep in mind that this model (2635) is the double cut 18ga version....you would probably like the 2637 a lot more (single cut 18 ga....easier for turns/holes/non-flat surfaces)....be sure to check the 3 different types online before you order. They are 2635, 2636, & 2637.
I just cut 4x8 sheets of roofing... i cursed the tool a couple of times but after a little bouncing and twisting it cut through the roofing cross ways much faster than by hand!!!!
Another great review Daniel, I have the single sheer model on my to buy list. It would be great to see a review on that model for the the Automotive crews out there. I recently brought the M18 Fuel top spec drill after watching your detailed review. It is a dream to use, I'm now converting all my ageing battery tools over to Milwaukee 👍🏻. Looking forward to the next review whatever in the range it might be ?
Cody Robertson Yeah I bet these guys who work with metal on a daily basis are really happy that there are some cordless options coming out for them....doing all this by hand must get really old quick.
If I could make a suggestion and look up the malco turbo shear attachment. I am in the HVAC trade and I own one I love it! Read my comment I'll explain why. Over all good review tho 👌👍😁
Please if you know how to buy the single cut shears model # 2367 for car body work, can't find it on Milwaukee website and advance me with the link if so, Thank you
interested in this too, but would like to know how noisy is this compared to a cutoff wheel on an angle grinder? i use cutoff wheels all the time but the noise is getting to me even with ear plugs. also how much metal can you cut on one battery?
bondophobic WAY quieter.....I did not do a runtime test on this one since I did not have access to a pile of metal......but they are including a 3.0ah battery & it is not brushless ---- specifically because it is not a high amp-draw design & the battery lasts a very long time.
Is there a difference in cutting speed between the 18g model & the 14g model? If the 14 gauge cutter cuts at the same speed as the 18 gauge then I would only buy the 14.
+Slightapex I have not used the 14ga, but I agree.....the 14ga single cut shear would be more versatile than this one. As far as I know, the speed of cut is very similar, but the single cut shears can do a much better job at curves/angles VS the double cut working best for straight cuts.
Any news on whether it will come 'one key' enabled? Any tools that expensive would be good to know if you're leaving them on the job of just... "where the @$^$^&are my shears?!".
I am sure that they will continue to try and push One Key.....I highly doubt it is going to go anywhere. Unless they sell One Key batteries.....I wouldnt expect to see it.
I have seen people use this tool on job sites before for HVAC work it's good to do straight cuts only it's really tuff to do circle cuts and plunge cuts every time someone shows up with one of these they always ask me to use my malco turbo shear attachment 😂😂 for HVAC work not practical in my opinion.
Samual Krokson I couldnt tell you....I believe that they design these tools around "the average amount of work someone uses in 1 day" (with 2 batteries) & go from there. If they can get the amount of work with a brushed motor & smaller batteries, that is what they do to keep the price as low as possible.
Hi! Done well with this kind of tool's ! Best idea 's ! Fixed all ' metal 's , from light skin to thick skin's gauges, many brand's are ready for selling! Solid tool's, for jobs starter 's to professional 's tool's maker 's ! Milwuakee 's ! ( makita , dewalt , and ..... ) see you !
djnauseanyc I assume they would after extended use just like any metal shear.....there are a few set screws holding them in place, so if you get some new blades it looks like a 5min job to swap them out.
We dont get a lot of the Milwaukee tools here in the UK, then when we do they are doubke the price and only 1 year warranty and on registration 2 years on line. A bit pants really.
boy it sure scratches those sheets up :-/ I bet it'll destroy the finish on painted aluminum. I wonder if it would be easy to polish out the bottom of that tool
hey dude what's up? what an amazing review, one of the best tool channels on youtube. I can imagine how many tool review request you receive everyday in all videos, but Can I ask you a huge favour? I would like to see a review of the Milwaukee single shear. Thanks in advance Daniel
You killed that review. Great job Daniel.
WorkshopAddict Lol nice :) Thanks John!
@@RealToolReviews its this replaceable blade? I mean what happens when it rurns unsharp ?

Your reviews are great. I use them all the time before I make a purchase thanks
You should do a video on cleaning, lubing, and just a overall maintenance on some of these tools.
Awesome! Showing proper demonstration of the tool instead of just talking about it like all the other videos on this tool.
I’m glad you can see the difference between reviewing a tool & someone just reading a box 😉👍
Could show me a video when is cutting corrugated metal across the corrugated

Real Tool Reviews thanks buddy appreciate the feedback.
You are my review guy!
Very nice review Daniel
Here’s my question: what’s the upside to having this over a malco double-cut drill attachment?
I just cut 4x8 sheets of roofing... i cursed the tool a couple of times but after a little bouncing and twisting it cut through the roofing cross ways much faster than by hand!!!!

That tool is rediculously good.
And your review
How to change the blades on the metal cutting shares
I'm working with seamless gutter rolls, but also need to make cuts after the gutter is formed as well. What shears would be best?
How do you make them open up larger for thicker metal?
id love to know this too
pretty great tool!!
Danny Ahn Thanks Danny!
Would be get in HVAC. I got some friends who build metal builds they only use metal circular saws and nibblers when cutting the metal.
Cody Robertson Yeah I bet these guys who work with metal on a daily basis are really happy that there are some cordless options coming out for them....doing all this by hand must get really old quick.

great right to point review. HVAC was not included. Duct cleaners need tool like this... to bad no examples of duct work not included ?
Can you cut a circle with this?
Another great job
George S Thanks George!

Great let me go spend $500 now
If it cant cut across the roof panel its absolutely useless.
Unless you don’t cut roofing panels....
It can’t turn? Cut some circles
I'm a very avid tin foil collector. Do you think this will have any problems cutting through it?
David G David I think you may have just found its limitation.... ;)
Guess i'll have to keep looking ;(
