Wow! Thank you so much. This is one of the best videos and the most helpful videos I’ve ever seen. I’m a Canadian who comes to Bogotá very often, but I can’t legally drive due to medical reasons. Taking an Uber and taxi is cheap in Bogotá but after some time, it really adds up. I wanted to learn the Bogotá transportation system but the information online is so confusing. I take public transportation in every country I travel to yet the Transmilenio system is one that seems to intimidate me. I am going to be in Bogotá Sunday and this time with the help of your video I will get my card.
I have two questions: 1. Do you know if there is such thing as a monthly unlimited pass that I can load on my card? Here in Canada we have different kind of passes. We can pay per trip, we can have an unlimited weekly pass or an unlimited monthly pass. I plan to take the bus a lot, so I wanted to buy an unlimited monthly pass.
    2. Is theft and pickpocketing a problem on the bus? Every time I’m in Bogotá there’s always someone who tries to steal something from me. So far I’ve been lucky but since I’m coming from the airport with my passport and money, am I going to be safe?( I only carry a small backpack, but I have all my belongings in there.)
Thanks again for this video. Really appreciate it.

Hello Friend, thank you for your comment on the video and thank you for your question. You can load the card on the portal, each ticket costs 3 thousand pesos, but this same ticket can be used to get on three different buses with the same ticket! There is no weekly or monthly package, be aware of your backpack and document well stored when leaving the airport, you have no problem if you take care of your things, there is no problem, greetings and welcome, GOD Bless you

@@perfilviajero I purchased my card yesterday. Just to let you know I paid 8000 for the card and 3000 per trip and I got four trips. I bought it at the airport as there is a booth. I did not take a shuttle bus to the Eldorado station. I took the P 500 bus directly from the airport to my destination, which was in Bario Chico. I got off close to Parque 93 and walked 5 min to my hotel. Super easy! The bus was crowded at first, but after a few stops it got empty. I felt safe and no one tried to pick pocket. Thank you again for your wonderful video and God bless you as well.☺️

thanks for the detailed description of how to use the system. I noticed that no one had luggage with them when they left the airport. Is this route not a good idea if you have luggage? Thanks!

Hello, if you have a lot of luggage it is not a good idea, but if you have a 23 kilo suitcase and a small bag, that you can move to get on and off the bus, you have no problem using this means of transport, thank you for your question, greetings
