There are preliminary checks that should be done to the vehicles before they hit the streets, in this case the car’s siren system probably blew a fuse mid-patrol and they haven’t noticed. Happens all the time in the NYPD

Two questions: what kind of event can trigger a response like the one at 01:15 (because I do have the impression that it is quite frequent in LA)? And what are SMART teams?

@@phosemonde4787 that was an officer needs help call. Pretty much means the officer's life is in danger and they need every surrounding division to respond. SMART teams work with cases involving mental illness
