@dreaded-88 some black or other dark contrasting elements would look really make it pop. Possibly some black panel liner (if you clear coat their metallics first, make sure you use a water-based clear so you don't dull the shine)
Yeah I'm thinking dark too, I know the SMS German grey can come out really nice if used over jet black lightly, has an awesome look to it. I'll toss up whether to go for glossy or dull lining at the end, I generally like the nuln oil look due to the flat appearance it offers 8)
Gold Saber Limited Edition. Should be a perfect showcase for SMS's metalics. Particularly the gold's you like so much

@dreaded-88 you could potentially use a few different ones to add some subtle contrast and break things up to avoid it becoming too blingey.
I'll see how we go with blending in a shade to break it up, their golds are really good for it, maybe keep the rest of the non armor dark 8)
