What was even more annoying was being there and that happening. It was 90+ degrees inside the building, super crowded and had been there for 6 hours already and then you have to put up with 45 minutes of that garbage. The rest of the event was awesome, but that was a waste of everyone's time.

I would not say he was in best shape. He did not broke his record in wrist curls,backpressure and biceps in fact he did less weight in all them. He himself said "i started training my wrist from 0". he also had wrist pain from injury which he mentioned after the match. Mentally he was not 100% either. Not to say anything about how this was his comeback match. Overall considering all of this i would say he was 85% of his best against devon.
The match with Chance was actually good for Devon to gauge his level and strength at his new weight. Now he knows what to work on and he will come into the Petrenko match fully prepped and pancaked!
he would've known that from all his lifts and practise pulls at the club, that match was Devon just taking a joker match instead of a real match simply because he can and he's not in form eother so it worked out

Devon is now 113-115kg again. The problem is everytime he comes to 105kg due to a water cut and calorie restriction he will have a hard time to keep his strength.

I'm on the irritated side of the fence for sure haha. That was a horrible match. Devon is fast becoming the worst to watch live. Legend off the table but sometimes I wish he'd just shut up and wrestle. Give me humble, non-technical guys just gritting teeth and powering through with side pressure. Like Todd H, John when he gets his shake going, and Dave Chaffee.

His wrist was messed up? He had like over 6 months to heal a 12 week injury. His lifts was right there with his best lifts leading up to the match. On top of that he was breathing normal again this was arguably the best version of levan

What? Have you ever had a wrist injury? I have. It takes MONTHS to return to any sort of normal.
6 weeks? It takes months of rehab and healing just to get back to doing normal activities let alone the highest level of professional armwrestling. 😂
@@joshuaholliman6599 he torn a tendon in his wrist it take 12 weeks to fully heal. He had that plus more his lifts was about the same and his breathing was better. 12 weeks is 3 months he had like 6 months.

If Devan was 120% and Levon was 78.5% Devon wins 68% of the time providing there is less than 80% chance of injury
Strength is dynamic, most athletes can't stay in peak form all the time, hence why we have periodisation of training.
Im a Devon fan and i hated how that Chance Shaw match went. Its was so full of dumbsh1t.

I felt the Devon vs. Chance match didn’t belong in the East vs. West event. It came across as amateurish and detracted from the overall quality. It would have been better suited as an ad-hoc match rather than part of the event.

When your on a lot of steroids u need to specifically plan out your training in order to peak , it’s easier to peak if your natural and don’t have to plan out a specific steroid regiment around your training to reach your peak form

All of Those "monsters" of the 2014-2018 era would get beat by Irakli at just over 100kg no exception, bar probably Jerry. Irakli would beat Chaffee, who would war with Jerry.
Jerry was throughly dominated in the weist and hand by Devon, and he cannot press effectively there.
Genadi has enough hand to find something and be just enough comfortable, and he has more side to contest there aswell. Genadi was being thoroughly dominated by Devon´s hand, and Jerry is more so, hence why he was losing to Devon "diamond tip" hand.
That is the logic to follow, Devon is too much in the wrong place for Jerry. You are comparing an "era" in the West without Cyp and Pushkar, where they were all well below these two, clear as day.
As far as "levels" of AW, there were no monsters in the West then, just Really Good, worthy runner ups. I mean, Bagent was competing and crushing the opposition there in 2016, and was trying Sabin even later, who was at best stagnating since thinner Levan.
That Bagent was just a blown up Bagent of "back then", it´s not like he was secretly training all that time, and is now just so much weaker for no reason- if he and the rest were really on the level of the East, then the deflated Travis of today would still be smoking guys.
Travis was good enough to win back then, but even he was just on the edge of having his peak "be forgotten" among others that would surpass him. Travis is still potentially among the top for left, and he still has potential on the right, but it is not healthy to be expecting him to storm the HW rankings.
That is a "far ass cry" from "best lefty of all time". Alizhan is way, way in front, and as good as he is, he is just a super strong normal sized guy. You are inflating te Western armwrestling of that time by a long shot. There is only one Big and REALLY GOOD HW on the left, and that is Laletin. That is the level of guys that can contend with the best of any era, and way above what a 30yo Travis on plutonium could contend with, you know? actual "monsters", Cyplenkov, Pushkar, A Big Larratt, Levan?. All those guys had a leg up on any of the western athletes in their actual prime. Dave, Michael Todd and even Lupkes could have been close to a not tip top prepared Cyplenkov, but in a supermatch there would never be any chance.
1. Devon killed Ermes who destroyed Jerry. Even tho Jerry had Pneumonia Ermes had the style to absolutely kill Jerry.
2. Georgi didn’t get 1 pin on Devon
3. Devon already beat Jerry. The only pin Jerry got against devon, his elbow went 3-4 inches up in the air.
