    I'm 50yo and in the past 2 years I've done three small steroid cycles, really beginner staff out of mere curiosity (normally I'm on TRT). First cicle 350mg of testosterone cypionate per week for 10 weeks, the second 500mg, and the third 500mg test cypionate and 20mg Anavar (daily). With the last cycle my strength went up about 20-25%, which felt incredible. Now consider that professional athletes take much higher doses of a higher number of compounds. Steroids transform you into a different person.

      Anavar make you really strong and probably one of the best steroids as slow gains but you keep most of them as you noticed a strength gain on just 20 mg when on average most people take 50 mg in nearly your age and been taking steroids for nearly 25 years on and of I need trt now as my natural test levels are super low now good stack though nice balance..

    Shaq's baseline genetics for strength are insane. Obviously, Brian Shaw is stronger than Shaq, but that's only because Brian dedicated his life to strength and took extreme measures to get as strong as he possibly can. Shaq is just a strength monster almost without even trying, as he was known for not being a very hard worker when it came to physical conditioning. Shaq's form in college would've bullied the fuck out of Brian Shaw's college form in terms of size/strength.

    • @mcfarvo
      @mcfarvo 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Shaq seems to have a greater potential *unless* he wouldn't have survived the training to get stronger; what if Shaq is more injury-prone than Brian? Injuries ruined Shaq's later years in the NBA. Brian is how old now? Brian was one of the strongest in the world for over a decade. Shaq has the larger frame/size, but we don't know if his joints would tolerate the Strongman training.

    • @thelittleenginthatcould3396
      @thelittleenginthatcould3396 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@mcfarvo Sure, but I'm not claiming that Shaq definitely would've been the strongest man in the world if that was his goal. I'm just saying his natural baseline genetics are significantly greater than that of Brian's. I know streoids help. But they mostly help weak minded people who need to feel like they are taking magic medicine to make them strong. There have been many studies where subjects are told that they are being given a protocol of steroids, when they actually receive a placebo. And in all those studies, the subjects showed strength gains equal to or almost equal to steroid users, and they completely blew away the control group that performed the same exercises, but were told they were not being put on steroids. If you look at the magnitude of effects, steroids help, but they do not help as much as believing that you are going to get stronger. I know people will dismiss this placebo effect, but it is demonstrated in study after study.

All I’m saying is, in study after study, a large fraction of the benefit is from believing you are on them, and people get extremely good gains taking a water pill that they are told is steroids. Gains are not as high as actually taking steroids, but in all studies, it’s well over half the gains and in some studies, taking a water pill you are told is steroids gives gains that are not statistically different from taking steroids. I agree steroids help a lot. Just saying a lot of that help comes from believing you will now get strong because you are on them.

    PED's make too big of a difference in arm wrestling... that's why I don't think it can go mainstream, because it will only be accepted mainstream if it is clean... and the testing will never get good enough because the arm wrestler above any athlete will find a way and it will simply be too obvious that someone is juiced... it will mainly turn into a competition of how to beat testing and arm wrestling will still never be viewed as a fair and clean competition... that and of course the relentless jockeying and complaining with the referee which turns away a very large percentage of the public.

    How will we get new athletes you ask? Ever heard of reproduction? New generation? And for now there will be so many athletes out there who were probably left out of olympic teams for various reasons. Athletes who are slightly out of there prime age but still has a lot of experience, skill and passion for their sport. Or athletes who were left out because they were not the best in their country but still pretty good. With PEDs they will out perform the olympic champions.

    If on olympics a elite atlethe can already do great damage to his or her body, be it on short on long term, on enhance olympics the harm will be much greater. We see this all the time on AW, injury after injury, and its not by chance that the superheavywheights injure themselfs more.
    Therefore this enhance olympics to me is making profit out of the atlethes health, so i dont support it.
