Dr. Barber said (at 54:12) when talking about "what He cares about or She cares about". Tha perplexed me......stopped me in my tracks. God is not a she. His gender is male. Jesus always prayed to His Father. His Father spoke from heaven when Jesus was baptised. I must write Dr. Barber about this because I am stopped in my tracks. I've got to know.
There is a lot of poverty that is caused by racism, but that is not the only cause of it! We have to know all the different causes and work on them separately, as well as simultaneously! A lot of people feel bad about the fact that there is so much poverty, but feeling bad or guilty is not going to solve the problems involved! We have to devise workable, sustainable plans and then work those plans! There are not enough people proposing real workable plans! ……..For example, there will have to be schools that are relevant and motivate students to set goals and know how to reach them, regardless of their situation! We will have to know where to invest and how to invest in businesses owned by Blacks and all others that are seeking a way out of poverty. We will have to understand such things as enterprise zones and how to invest in them, and then know how to keep government investment flowing to the people who actually need it, rather than being siphoned off by the political leaders in our cities and wrongly spent or wrongly invested, or being outright stolen, etc. A lot of things like this have to be fully understood and worked on properly! There is a lot more to it than just giving speeches to make people more aware of the need! 😊
