    Ahoy my bros! So I reuploaded this video changing the intro because I felt like the intro was just nothing but me saying, "GIT GUD" when I am - in fact - not very good. One of the biggest things I strive for on my channel is to encourage fun, non-meta picks, and enjoying your experience in whatever way/shape/form that entails. To me, the spirit of the channel was undermined in the first draft of that intro after reading some of your comments.
    So, I re-did the intro with the same exact spirit, but also mentioning how much more FUN I'm having on the Chaos missions, a fact that I had entirely left out of my previous video. So I apologize if the first draft came off as snobbish, and that could just be me being too over analytical, but I'd never want to drive people away from the game because I think it's "TOO EASY!" But rather, I wanted to convey how I think the difficulty's approachability is an overall BETTER move for the health of the game while also knowing that the new difficulty is coming!

      Well I actually never saw the issue with the game being too hard.
      People can always play it on easier difficulty.
      But people wanted to play ruthless without being good or - even worse - did not even level their characters beforehand.
      I often saw level 10-15 players wanting to play on the highest difficulty.
      And you know they did not even have the purple weapons.
      With my friends, we almost every time were able to successfully do ruthless runs. When you did it a few times you can level every character. It's getting easier and easier.
      The first win on ruthless was the biggest problem. Then you have your main weapon on gold and it's getting way easier.
      Ps: people just need to be able to block. Go for a fancing weapon and the parry gets easier.
      PPS: it's too easy now imo

      I feel like Ruthless with people who know what to do can easily do it and before the change was still easy to do but now it's way too easy to do, I blame all the people who are from HD2 that start to run to this game and complain about how hard when reality it's super simple and easy

      ​@@scuchtern4849 I personally find the HD2 community to be very weird about jumping to wild conclusions. Making the game approachable in prep for future difficulties isn't BAD. Its the polarizing nature of incendiary content that is part of the toxic culture of content creation. I think next month it'll be even better when we get Lethal

    Minoris enemies erasing all armor in a second was ridiculous imo and im glad that was removed.

      You could always dodge back and use sprint attack right after, it separates the melee weapons(knife has way smaller AOE on that, chainsword has wide swing...etc.) beyond just dps.
      Nerfing difficulty when game hasn't even been out for a month is just bad call.

      ​@@EcchiRevengeit wasn't difficult it was just dumb. The warrior types still annihilate your armor fast, but when most of the enemies are swarm type, you can't let them do THAT much damage.

      @@ChiefCrewin When enemies are swarming you, very few of them will actually attack you; this is already limited (like in darktide, most of the time you won't get hit by all enemies around you simultaneously). Hell, it would be better if they all attack at exact same time because one parry can stop all of them.

    Is the game easier?
    yes!
    Does it feel much better to play now?
    YES!
    So to me it was a very good patch. If the gameplay gets better they can always tweek modifiers later.
    A higher difficulty is on the way.

      Being annoying is not a good way to make a game difficult.
      Now that the game has less annoying traits, it is more fun to play despite being easier. I also think the new coming diff will be difficult rightfully

    Does anyone else have runs where the spawn rate is crazy. I’ve had average and substantial runs where I get flooded with insane volumes. The mobs do seem easier but every so often I just get a torrent of mobs

      Yeah, i have had those weird swarms where you deal with the twin Zoanthropes aided by minimum 16 Warriors, not counting the hundreds of gaunts helping them.
      The amount of barbed stranglers gets kind of tiresome in those situations, the entire ground is covered in them, and you are too busy dealing with the boneswords to take them out.

      Yeah, definitely. Had a Vox Lib where we got a massive wave as we entered the Chapel, then got the sorcerer 50/50 in there, then had another massive wave as we entered the Archives final area.
      Also had one where a Terminator was fighting a bunch of Nid Warrs, and for some reason it caused nothing to spawn in the post-Chapel plaza - that Termy was a real bro.

    As an older player without unlimited time, I don’t want to have to run the meta to finish a mission. These are space marines not some rando’s given weapons without training. I just maxed out assault and I enjoy playing that. I don’t want to be forced into playing a melta class because the random that joined is a sniper just learning how to play the class on substantial or ruthless.

      As an older player with limited time. Ruthless wasn't made for you. You have 3 other difficulties just for you. Also you're tripping. Assault can smash monkey ruthless all day. It's been one of the best classes this whole time, but everyone plays it wrong.

    Ruthless is supposed to be for level 15 characters, but people were struggling with level 25’s. It was way over tuned.

    My friends and I loathed playing against Chaos on Substantial or Ruthless due to the Rubric and Tzanngor spam pre patch. They both feel bullet spongy with many weapons, and in the case of the Rubrics, there would be too many to deal with while mitigating damage.
    I think the game is in a much better state, and will need some more tuning. But it’s now in a position to give a more welcome addition for a new difficulty setting.

      Rubrics feel spongy? On ruthless I can put a rubric into execute range in under 5 seconds.

      @@swordsman1_messer I feel like game companies need to stop catering to all of the people out there that claim their games are “too hard.” Warhammer40k and its universe of the grim dark is not a forgiving place. It does not deserve to feel that way. The game was better before and all the suggestions, like yours that suggest there should be many changes in the future, should be ignored.
      The more they change this, the more they will ruin it. It was fine before. You could win every mission in the game on all the difficulties with team work (in operations specifically) or skill. Get good.

      @@oneringtorule2032 some of us would like to not constantly be running Meltas.
      Some of us didn’t appreciate how a bunch of Goat Daemons were as tanky as Tyranid Warriors.
      Some of us didn’t appreciate having to constantly take chip damage from ten different snipers you constantly have to be trimming down while juggling all that plus Warpflamers up the arse.
      Difficulty should come from actual adversity, not annoyance.

    Not all games are supposed to be as difficult as a Souls game. If you just spam roll through the whole level, it’s gonna seem pretty easy. But if you actually take the time to enjoy the gameplay, it’s gonna offer a pretty good challenge. That’s the point of this type of game.

      @@darthkage2163 the minoris enemies were pretty busted before the patch regardless of skill. The game is in a much better place now for the overwhelming majority of the player base, making it more fun in general keeping the game alive for longer.

    We were clearing Ruthless, but it's absolutely more fun now. It does feel easier, especially compared to pre-patch - but it's more fun, and Lethal is coming for more challenge.

    i was already comfortable on ruthless and now the addition of armor on minoris makes me feel like a battle tranced badass switching my attention between enemies so quickly and the game feels much more like a power fantasy while still providing some challenge, also my friends can keep up with me and dont sound miserable the whole time and their fun is a big plus for me. i can happily wait for lethal to get that fight through hell feeling back

    Maybe it's too easy as I've been leveling my classes and changing difficulties and with my Assault I thought I was playing on Average when I was on Substantial; however, while leveling up, probably 20 to 25% of players I see playing Average are level 20+.

    My team is not a well oiled machine, but it runs. The changes have made it so we can complete 80% of our ruthless runs with our maxed out classes.

    I just feel like the need to drop the weapon upgrade materials down one. Purples should drop in difficulty 2 and yellow in substantial with ruthless always paying out 2 relic. That way people could upgrade FOR the difficulty instead of being forced into it

    I think once the new difficulty drops, the game will be in a good place. I hope it is absolutely brutal for all the folks saying they're bored of Ruthless. I sincerely mean it, I hope they get to have a nearly insurmountable experience they seem to crave. More power to them. I find the difficulty of the game right now to be just about right.

      Yeah, having a dedicated difficulty for the ones that play on a different level is alright, but it should be an entirely optional challenge, instead of locking resources behind it like it was before this patch.

      @@Akrilloth I humbly disagree, you shouldn’t be guaranteed to get the highest rarity in the game. If they add a new difficulty then add new tiers to unlock. People should be rewarded for skill period end of story. If you’re not as good as someone simply try to get better and progress yourself. There is nothing toxic about that imo. The toxic thing would be not rewarding time spent and skill developed. The game is specifically made to be based around skill growth and progression hence why it has the layout it does. So people need to be rewarded for their time spent.

      @@zerk813 I just disagree with that, people who want challenge should have to be happy with getting their desired challenge for challenges sake.
      Locking progression behind Artificial difficulty (Bullet sponge enemies and unreasonably punishing damage) is in my opinion just backwards as a notion and bad game design.
      Giving them MORE of the stuff (x2 relic points or simply 50-100% more XP and Credits than difficulty 4) I can get behind, but locking stuff behind arbitrary difficulty is never a good thing.

      @@Akrilloth I disagree with notion of it being arbitrary difficulty. Yes there is a numbers game and yes if you don’t respect it things can become sponges. But these changes changed the mechanical nature of the game to the point we’re this is no challenge for alot of people. I can stand still on ruthless and only parry and kill a never ending swarm of enemies. They reduced accuracy when in melee gave armor back on minors with perfect parry. That on top of reduced damage and spawning numbers reduced by 70 PERCENT is crazy. They removed the need to have a modicum of effort.
      Now my point is you should have to put that modicum of effort into a game. It’s what gets people back to playing it and keeps them playing. I get some people don’t have as much time and progress can be slow but that’s the nature of life. The game will objectively be kept alive by people who play every day not once or twice a week. Now the only way to get those people to play is by rewarding them with something that is substantial.
      My question back would.why would people who are casual players feel the need to have everything in the game quickly. You are playing casually, most play for the power trip the game gives. Why does it really matter that you can’t beat ruthless constantly every time. Is the difference in tier 4 and 3 that crazy? Does it objectively make the game worse thst you might have to really try and improve to get the best stuff in the game?

    It’s not even the reduction in spawns for me. It’s the fact that parry kills on minoris give armor. That change alone makes it significantly easier.

      It doesn't just make it easier, its impossible to die if you know how to parry. I tested it last night. On assault, with a double wave on ruthless I stood completely still and let the swarm surround me and did nothing but parry and gun strike. I never lost a single piece of hp for 10 minutes straight and killed the entire swarm with nothing but parry and gun strike.

    I was someone that's decent at the game, and was soloing ruthless pre-patch. The changes were a step in the right direction and make the game more fun for everyone. While it's less challenging now it has made grinding weapon exp a bunch easier, so I definitely appreciate that.
    I'm very much looking forward to lethal though.

    They reduced the difficulty of ingame mechanics, but increased difficulty via performance, lots of players who used to run 60+ FPS are now down to 25 FPS, unplayable after patch.

    I didn't play much ruthless before the patch, but post-patch I feel like I have to smash a tyrannid majoris warrior about 600 times with my relic power sword before it dies. I totally understand that increasing the health of enemies is the typical way to make things harder, but it seems kind of silly that a space marine is that weak.

      are you not gunstriking them? that’s the intent. they should/could buff the block weapons so that they can possibly kill majoris before they can counterattack since you can’t perfect parry, but warriors are elites and not meant for you to cut down like chaff

    Playing on normal mode and dare say, THIS is great.
    Minor enemies you shred like the powerhouse you are without them making you feel like you wearing paper.
    Anything bigger requires a bit of tact, like it is supposed to.
    And bosses can if you not careful, still rip you to shreds as it absolutely should be.
    Finally feels like i'm playing a space marine, and not some wanna be clone of it.

    In the words of the favorite son, "THE EMPEROR PROTECTS!!!".
    I honestly think this most recent patch gives everyone a chance of running each Op like a true Ultramarine. My maxed specifically specialized builds all SHINE LIKE THE CHADS THEY ARE as I play them as they are meant to be played.
    If I play them any other way, they're ok...
    Thank you Saber Interactive for 200+ plus hours worth of the most fun I've had in a long time in my 33 year gaming life. Gods speed on making SM3 in 10 (or less) years. I'm in decent shape....🥳
    (Edit. INCREASING ENEMY NUMBERS AND/OR NON STOP WAVES OF ENEMIES would be a good foundation for Lethal diff.)

    As a gamer that doesn't have time to do the grind to farm currency, get levels or even "grind to get git gud" for hours on end, I thoroughly enjoy this game more with the nerfs. I don't play with friends, just randoms and these nerfs make Substantial so much more manageable with randoms, and honestly, even more fun. This ease makes farming all other class and helping them level up and get their perks more enjoyable and at a quicker pace. We all know the game gets more enjoyable at level 10, maybe 15+ while the first couple hours of each class is barely bearable. Not sure when I'll get on Ruthless, but I'm enjoying trying out and leveling all the classes for now.
    As it stands, I think the difficulties right now are fine. I think the devs just to need to go full send on reworking class perks across the board.
    I do agree with what you mentioned about that these nerfs are overall good for the health the game and general community. I think it's just a matter of you all waiting for the next difficulty to come out before asking for "buffs" to the difficulties.

    Nobodies mentioning how the *"enemy wave imminent"* message/random wave spawns are happening more often now after the update. I know Space Marines isnt about stealth but it's now harder to avoid combat because even on the easiest setting the game is force spawning more waves of enemies per level & shortening the "enemy wave imminent" down time to balance out the difficulty changes.

    I don't think it is too easy but I really appreciate the fact that I can play solo Ruthless. I have a team that doesn't play as often as I like and I don't want to affect randoms games so I just speedrun Ballistic Engine solo.
    It's still fun and challenging as bots really don't carry you at all as they don't seem to attack bosses and very rarely attack mini bosses.
    I think it was a good choice to make Ruthless a bit easier and later bring the Lethal difficulty for those who want new challenge

    Reuploaded Comment - The game is now too easy for those that thought the prepatch was easy. for normal people it isn't too easy, they still fail and for those that can now complete the missions it adds more fun for them, and allows you to do more than spam dodge everything out of panic.

      Finishing ruthless runs 100% of the time is different from being able to finish them 70% of the time due to difficulty. If there isnt a challenge or obstacle, you would take the fun out of analyzing your weaknesses and improving to overcome those challenges since the game is just too easy

    IMO, the majority of the people complaining that the game is "too easy," are melta mains. If these same guys would put down the meltas and play different weapons, they'd change their tune. Now I mean no offense to the truly skillful players that are able to solo Ruthless difficulty on any class with any weapons, but I think those guys are in the minority.
    The rest are using the Melta variants as a crutch. You don't even need to learn the parry, block, dodge mechanics if you're just stunning everything with a melta.
    So all you "it's too easy" Brothers, put down your meltas. Learn how to dodge, parry, block. Then tell us how easy the game is without leaning on your melta crutch.

    My buddies and I have noticed a huge difference for chaos. The limit on units really messes with the vibe of their missions. they need to add back at least 1/3 of the enemies for those missions. Tyranids feel fine and the damage the minoris do to armor feels better. Ideally we get blue and pink horrors for chaos missions as well.

    As a loner, I really appreciate the reduction in difficulty. I DON'T want to play max difficulty because it was/is too hard with randoms and no communication beyond a few random pings. The ONLY reason I'm playing it is for the relic unlocks. Once I get those I most likely will never touch it again and stick to substantial where I can have a chill run with experienced players and a more challenging run if I have newer players.

      I still enjoy the game, and perhaps it's because I've primarily played as Bulwark, but Substantial was a fun challenge. However, after the latest update, Ruthless has become a walk in the park. Now, I can charge in recklessly and still be totally fine.

      The higher difficulty forces people to learn the mechanics and improve in that way. The ones that we rely on to carry us in higher difficulties are the ones that picked up those mechanics and incorporated them into their skillsets. As a loner player myself, this is my way of beating content and not having to rely on others

    Overall, like the patch but lowering the spawn rate of the enemy makes it so easy they gave us more tools to regain armor and health which is awesome but nerfed the enemy a little too much, i enjoyed feeling swarmed and having to fight my way out of it. Isn't that the reason why there are exploding barrels everywhere on the map. 😅

    ruthless was completely fine i really don't understand the need to change so much. chaos missions were definitely not fun but that's more because the rubric marines are not fun to fight at all. they could have just tweaked the ai to do more melee attacks and that probably would have made them more enjoyable and easier to fight.

    When I started playing this, I wanted to suggest it to a few friends, but the learning curve was SO STEEP at first, even in the campaign. I was worried some of them would struggle and lose interest. Now it seems far more balanced, still tough, but the learning curve isn't as steep and more manageable. I think it's a good change for the game and creates a more welcoming format for new players.

    Guys, I'm casual gamer and i enjoy some difficulty in my games, and this patch probably made it easier (a bit too easy probably), but remember that some people come to this game probably after long workshifts and kids and maybe have only a couple hours per week. Everybody should be able get higher tier weapons. What they should do is add higher tier difficulties which give extra rewards or sth i dont know.

The game should be catered to those who make it a sizable amount of their “hobby time”. In the end who is going to spend future money on the game to keep it alive? The person who plays once or twice a week or someone who plays a few hours a day? Some people are graced with more free time than others or are simply better. For those with less time or skill you obviously are going to progress slower that should be obvious. That’s the sad reality of life and something people should expect. They shouldn’t want to lower the enjoyment of others to cater to them. Especially when the difficulty was objectively obtainable for “most” people. It’s not like this was a Souls game before the update.

    You should absolutely be able to solo any difficulty in the game. Difficulty can scale up with the number of human players if you find it too easy. I was soloing ruthless before patch and I'm soloing it now. The game is in a better place now.

    It's not too easy at all. It still takes 10 standard strikes with a maxed out relic chainsword to get a Rubric or Warrior to execution.
    All that while mobs are swarming and 3-5 more Rubrics or Warriors are coming at you.

    I'm like average at games. I really struggled with Consort Radahn with no greatshield or other cheese. It probably took me 10 hours of trying.
    Anyways, I feel ruthless is in a pretty good spot now. If you are playing with randos like I always do, you're inevitably going to get like level 15 players in your game and you either have to carry hard or you're gonna still lose some runs.
    I've still lost runs on the new ruthless so I feel its pretty fine.
    Occasionally if you get 2 good randos on your team you will just blow through a ruthless run easily but it doesn't happen that often

    Real problem with chaos was that they didnt have build-in weakness, while Tyranids had their synaptic network and when we killed maroris or above enemy all minoris get stunned/damaged, meanwhile Thousand Sons dont have any mechanic like this.

    If you are playing with a friend and either of you have connectivity issues, try transferring leadership to the person who is stuck.
    It has worked 100% of the time when running with my buddies. Even when you get stuck at the victory screen. The transfer will reload that instance and load you back into the party.
    PS5 - PC crossplay btw.

    Destiny 1 had the same issue when it first dropped the weekly Nightfalls. It was unbalanced, the enemies were complete bullet sponges, they took way too long to complete and the rewards were not worth the effort. They tweaked it and then they were fun. Yes they should be challenging, yes they should require a certain level of skill, but they shouldn't be a near impossible sweat fest. I still want the Space Marine power fantasy that was sold to me, not a Soulslike rollie pollie dodging simulator.

      Well the issue is that in SM2 the enemies still take 15 bolter rounds to the face and still don't get staggered and into a downed state so they still need to work on the spongy nature of all of the enemies in the game. All but 3 weapons feel horrible to use.

      That's my favorite as Assault, they could send 10 of them at me, and I'd be happy. I just hate ranged damage so much, especially when Neurothropes / Zoanthropes show up. They're just completely unfun and ruin the whole flow.

    I suggest to people who think that games is too easy now play with randoms without your broken melta guns. Runs with melta noticeably felt easier.

    There’s such thing as a happy medium. Sentiment doesn’t have to be bifurcated between those who have sweaty premades and those barely able to complete the lowest difficulty. Challenge is ultimately what keeps players engaged. Call a spade a spade and recognize the gratuitous degree to which the devs of this game have over corrected to appeal to a community which doesn’t genuinely understand what is good for the long term health of this franchise.
    The easy way out will kill engagement, and that’s the path we’ve started on

    100% agree with this take. Ruthless Chaos missions were borderline unplayable when you first got into ruthless difficulty, without already having any relic weapons and even then it was a 50/50. Not playing meta builds was also impossible, which really sucked. I love my Heavy's Multimelta, but I also enjoy the Heave Bolter or the Plasma gun. Now I can actually play them in ruthless missions and the game got a lot better for it.

    The changes have made the game less tedious on difficulty 2, 3, and 4, but there's still more work to be done.
    I still find the difficulty system unintuitive due to the dodge/parry window being made shorter on difficulty 3 and 4, especially when it isn't noted in the difficulty level upon selection someone had to datamine it to figure it out.
    I don't mind the game being harder on higher difficulties but the progression and the way you interact with enemies (dodge/parry windows) should be intuitive throughout the difficulty levels. Arbitrarily shortening windows after people have learned when to dodge on difficulty 1 and 2 makes adapting to difficulty 3 and 4 more clunky than it should be.
    Furthermore the progression of weapon data, and the general balance of artificer level gear is a little shaky. Difficulty 1 provides master-crafted data, but difficulty 2 also only provides master-crafted data. Which means you end up going into difficulty 3 at an inherent disadvantage even before the modifiers (shown or hidden) are applied.
    Tier 1 - Master-crafted Data (Able to gain Tier 2 data, and thus logically progress to Tier 2)
    Tier 2 - Master-crafted Data 😕(Unable to gain Tier 3, and thus put at a disadvantage for clearing Tier 3)
    Tier 3 - Artificer Data (Unable to gain Tier 4)
    Tier 4 - Relic Data (Top tier)
    If Tier 5 doesn't add new weapons then I imagine the reward will be a series of cosmetics 🤔

    I actually love the update, three hits from a minoris enemy would tear through your armor on ruthless, that was my only gripe, I'm not sure if parry timing got increased but I'm getting all of my parries consistently on bulwark. That isn't to say that if i lose focus and mess up more than once, it's a assured death, which I'm fine with.

    The issue with trying to throw two terminus enemies is the amount of ammo it takes to kill them. You just dont have enough and the option should be run or die

    I think the minoris damage nerf was definitely needed and the ability to get armor back from perfect parrying them very much helped survival rates. But overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer. Spore bombs, Devourers and Rubric Marines with flamers will still absolutely remove your health bar if you aren't paying attention or get unlucky.

    I got bored with campaign after 2 missions, went operations with a friend guiding and carrying a bit while I got my bearings in 3rd difficulty, few hours later we're in 4th difficulty and now I can handle it myself too. 18 hours played. I can't imagine spending another 100 hours playing it when it already is getting boring because my class is now getting maxed(making it easier) and unlocking legendary weapons(making it easier). Wish I saw what the difficulty was prior to the patch. I remember a comment my friend made today, "You know how in some games you can talk about stuff while playing, while in others, you get silent because you have to focus up. Playing ruthless doesn't make you shut up like auric missions in Darktide does."

    Unless you're running 1 or 2 meltas, anything above average can be a chore specially in Chaos missions, which all it takes is 1 massive wave and a elite not getting silenced to ruin a 25 min. run.
    Enemies are still bulletsponges which still makes bolters unreliable

    All they have to do for lethal is make the AI director use the old ruthless parameters, then double the numbers of enemies. Then all of the sweats who are complaining about ruthless being too easy can go play lethal. Currently (post patch), ruthless is actually fun to play now (for those of us who play mostly with randoms). Before, it was just button mashing, rolling everywhere, trying to constantly dodge, having minoris wipe your armor in 2-3 hits, then going down 5 seconds later. Yes, it felt great clearing the mission, but it was usually very frustrating when playing with randoms, and somebody dropped in with a level 5, that really couldn’t do anything, and we wiped shortly afterwards, about halfway through the mission.

    I think another cool addition to the Lethal difficulty would be to lower the respawn timer back down to 60sec or less and then remove the mortal wound. Just instant death respawn counter. That would definitely make it more Lethal

    Chaos missions before the nerf/buff (however you look at it) were more than manageable even for semi-casual groups or for hardcore groups without relic weapons.
    Avoiding them before the patch was your choice, but it wasn't required or necessary.

    Pre nerf chaos missions were easy for a sniper. I'm an average casual and I managed to do all 6 missions on ruthless before the patch with randoms. Tbh I actually enjoyed fighting chaos enemies but only when playing sniper.

    Lethal to me will be "Old ruthless" damage, less bullet spongy, but much more enemies AND..... Friendly Fire on ranged attacks. Loot rewards should be the Orange armor data, as levels 1-4 are to prepare you for Lethal. I want lethal to be a nightmare.

    I found the games top diff was fair before its just if u get your characters right it makes it easy its not a hard game just gotta level up

    A prediction for prestige going off of Focus' previous game World War Z. Class only not weapons and the first X prestiges will come with 1 new permanent perk for that class. For WWZ it was the first 3 and each perk built off of something the class did a lot, like extra ammo, or more melee damage ect. So we could possibly see something like that.

    Personally just thought that the Tzaangor shields was the main issue along with melee needing a slight buff, jumpacks needing buff and minoris enemies reduced damage.
    Not a fan of them reducing spawn rates. Hordes of enemies is a fun challenge.

    All heavy need to do (even before the patch) was to aim the heavy bolter above the head. Then you can sweep the entire horde. Never had a massive issue all the time.

    Tyranids are in a great place with the armour changes. But chaos are too easy. I dont think its even a balancing issue. More of a unit type problem. Chaos missions on ruthless feel empty now.

    I was good before the patch, easily able to handle ruthless, and i still find the game extremely fun! i welcome the change, gives me more reason to play after working in bad weather all day everyday

    The nids are fun because of all the parries and dodges and they are fun close up, which is handy as the best guns are are the shotty like meltas.
    To make chaos fun have them draw their swords when you get close so you get the parry dance going. Also improve the bolt rifles so range combat is fun, currently only snipers seem to fight at range, chaos should give the choice to have firefights but closing the distance asap is the best strategy right now.

    I think the recent nerfs to the enemies was to prepare for Lethal (though my buddy and I actually friended through our level one characters and standard weapons by just playing ruthless to the point it became trivial for us since we got good at the game.) since ruthless did have some pretty bad moments but nothing too terrible once you learned how to control the field. My buddy and I have played over 200 ruthless ops with only like 6 fails BEFORE the update. It’s not so much as being too easy but just learning to manage the enemies on the field.

    It doesnt matter anyway because they’re releasing a difficulty above Ruthless.
    Tzaan shields and rubric marines taking a whole bolt clip to the eyes to kill was unacceptable

    worth noting ruthless is recommended for lvl 15, but on release was not balanced for lvl 15 classes but rather maxed out classes with their relic gear. lethal will be either for 20 or 25 and will present the challenge more appropriate for maxed out characaters.
    also worth mentioning that the balance patch gives the devs design space to fill with new enemy types. imagine the battlefield with one or two more majoris/extremis/terminus enemies with mechanics that ud need to deal with pre patch vs post patch and i think it will end up in a solid state. we are just in a little content lull in the mean time

    The second stage on Ballistic Machine in the big room is peak. So many Xenos, tons of smashing.

    All I want with ruthless + is to replace 80% of minoris to Majoris. More frequent hordes incorporating Minoris And more than 2 bosses per operation to fight. That’d be great.

    Ruthless was already easy. Now it feels like average. I loved having so many things to shoot, and quickly reacting to everything

    PvP is where the real challenge is at! Love this game and honestly I rate the operations highly but the PvP is so addictive even if we only have 3 maps. I’m uploading content daily but hopefully they don’t let the PvP die to just focus on operations.

    Not related to this difficulty, but I can very much see Lethal difficulty having a down and out style where you don't enter the downed stage with a mortal wound, and instead once you die you have to wait for respawn. Maybe they go further and say once you die you have to wait for the checkpoint instead of a timer.
